I've been using this set up for a couple of months now and it's been great. It was really easy to set up and I have not had any issues with the signal between the sound bar and the sub and rear speakers. It sounds great for the price.

This is the first time I have ever left a review on here. This product is that good! I first bought a Korean brand that claimed to have "1000 watts" and costs much more only to be sorely disappointed by the tinny and boomy sound. I returned it and got this Vizio sound bar instead.(Kudos to BB for the easy return procedure) I'm so glad I did because the Vizio gave me the sound clarity and OOMPH that I was looking for with a budget price!!!! The clarity from the bar and rear surround speakers are crisp and powerful. I currently have the volume at 1/4 of the way and it's plenty loud. The sub-woofer itself is quite impressive for it's size. During a scene with an avalanche, I thought a large truck was driving by outside...turns out it was the sub-woofer rumbling my apartment! The remote control allows you to tweak the bass, treble, subwoofer and many other settings easily! My only nitpick is that the design/aesthetics might be a little on the plain side. This is my very first Vizio product. I'm now a fan. I will be buying more Vizio products in the future.

Gift for my dad, well worth the money and reaction. Best system for his living room. He loves it! as I do! 5.1 system in a small package, great sound! This compared with my $800+ Bose system, I gotta say that this Vizio comes very close to the competition.

Purchased this to go with my Vizio TV. The sound quality while watching movies is very good and while listening to music via Bluetooth is decent for the money. What I don't like is the remote has a gray background with black letters which makes it very difficult to see especially in dim light. It would help if it was backlit or have a different type of display. I also wish it had more ways to adjust the sound quality of the rear speakers. When listening to cds, often the sound is a bit "tinny" or has too much reverb and there is no way to adjust for this. Other than these items, I am happy with the product.

I have had 5.1 stereo setups in the past and dealt with running wires and also used wireless receivers for the rear channels. Having just moved to a new apartment, I bought a new tv and needed an easier clutter-free sound system. This soundbar system worked perfectly for what I needed, great sound and neat setup. I am not an audiophile so I did not buy this to pick it apart, but for enjoying tv, games, and movies on a daily basis the quality is great. Also the ability to stream music via Bluetooth is handy. My only issue with setup was that since I do not have my tv (Vizio M-Series 50 inch) wall mounted, the sound bar is taller than the lowest part of the tv screen when sitting on the entertainment center. I had to purchase a sturdy monitor stand that could handle the tv weight and now the tv remote works great.

I was in the market for a home surround system, but couldn't find one I liked. I looked at a Samsung total package, but I knew I would have to run wires to completely hook-up the system. Living in an apartment I know that would be a hassle trying to conceal the wires. Fortunately when I went to my local best buy I found this Vizio system. The rear speaker wires run to a subwoofer which can be placed in the back of the room, so you have no wires exposed. In addition this system comes with all mounting brackets that are needed to hang the system, so no need to spend another hundred bucks on mounting units. Also this system sounds amazing! The subwoofer will vibrate our couch when you turn up the bass. Definitely a great buy and the price couldn't get any better!

I did a lot of research before buying this product. I must say I love it! Great overall sound, great bass and very clear HD sound. Before I looked into purchasing this product I was looking into getting the Bose Cinemate G series ii but it was way overpriced. I saved about $200 purchasing this system with great surround sound. If you're looking for a system with great sound and bass but do not want to spend a whole lot, this is the system for you.

I bought this system after trying out more expensive systems and I must say I was blown away by the performance and ease of setup. I am not an audiophile by any means but this is a great sounding system and was exactly what I was looking for. I assumed that because the price was so low compared to other sound bars that the performance would be lacking, boy was I wrong. If you are on the fence definitely give this a try, I am glad I did!

I have tried several sound bars (Samsung HWF550, and Sony HTCT260) and am sticking with this one. The Sony bar was a very good stereo sound bar and had an excellent sub. It was a hard decision between the two, but the Vizio bar has very strong dialog and high ends and I can really tell that the cut off between the sub and bar is 90 hz, then you add in the value of actual rear speakers. The sound bar sounds full range and an issue I had with the Samsung, and at times the Sony bar, is that it sounded like the sub was jumping up to cover some of the mid range. When I had the bass turned up, my ears felt like they needed to pop. I did have some issues: the rear speaker cords were not long enough for my room, but I bought a connector and RCA cables to extend the length. The sub was not as strong as the Sony, but it was plenty for my room. Also, the bar blocks the TV remote sensor. I put my TV on a thick book and now it's up high enough to use.

Marries perfectly to TV. We use it for the Vizio e550 LED. Has remote and optical inputs as well as standard. Woofer has clear bass, and surround speakers are clear. What's really nice is that it will get loud without distortion. Bluetooth paring was easy and painless - used Android phones, paired without a hitch. The bar will power down automatically when the TV is off. Turns on by itself when it detects volume. The remote control LCD display is a little "dim" but this is very minor because once you set up the bar, you will control it with your TV volume control (especially if using a Vizio TV) - Turn off TV internal speakers and set TV volume to control bar instead. Remember this is with us making use of all Vizio setups which is highly recommended. (Vizio TV + Vizio Sound Bar + Vizio Remote)

Range on them is a bit exaggerated but once closer works exception many channels and Bluetooth so easy switcheck with remote and good bass.

When I first set it up it sounded like some of the speakers were already blown out of the soundbar. After troubleshooting some connections it the sound went away a little but not completely. Changing different channels seemed to help a bit but when I turned it on for the dvd player it worked like a charm leaving me to believe maybe it was just the channel I was on. Using it on cable now it is working perfectly. I am very happy with it and recommend it now that the buzzing has left.

This was easy to hook up and produced great sound for the cost. The remote lets you easily switch between different modes and the sound from the rear speakers gives a great surround sound affect. It comes with everything you need including the hardware for wall mounting.

Did a lot of studying and reviewing different ones. Saw this on sale for Black Friday and was worth the money. Got it for $179 instead of $299. Once I figured out the proper wire to hook up to TV the sound is amazing. The surround sound is great. If you want a great system this is the one.

This sound bar is amazing , the two-speakers behind you and sound bar in front make it sound like your at the movies. I am blown away by vizio i have had Bose and this blows it out of the water.

I don't think I could be happier. I've had other systems including Sony with prices substantially higher. Certainly this doesn't surpass those, but it IS as good. As I write this I'm listening to music off my Galaxy 3 smart phone bluetoothed through the system. Easy to understand controls without a lot of extra buttons on the remote that serve more for decoration than function. I highly recommend.

This is the best sound bar you can hide the speakers and you don't have all of the wires. Great sound!

This is hands down the best value for a soundbar system. You will not be disappointed! It’s ideal for any apartment sized to medium sized living room. It sounds great with both music and movies too. There is a firmware update that addresses loss of audio when switching between sources or during fast forwards. ALL ISSUES WERE CORRECTED AFTER FIRMWARE UPDATE! CNet and other reviewers stated that you might not get a true 5.1 mix if routing audio directly from your TV. However, I did not experience this problem, using a 2012 Samsung UN55D8000 model TV. I tested the soundbar with World War Z, Battleship, Scandal (TV show) and the Clemson/Syracuse game. The system put out room filling sound with no detail left untouched. Especially the bass! Once you adjust the levels of the subwoofer and the surround sound speakers to your liking, it sounds spectacular. NO HYPE! Everything you need for the system comes in the box; however I’d recommend purchasing a better optical cord. The one supplied is very thin and extremely hard to disconnect from components. It also rendered significantly lower detail with the system. I heard a very noticeable difference when I used the cable I already owned. Overall, I’d seriously recommend this system for anyone looking for home theatre sound, but does not want to deal with the speaker wiring process that comes with traditional receiver and speaker systems.

Great sound and Bass for the $$ spent. Sounds great in a small living room for Movies and games.

Wow! This sound bar is awesome, cheap, easy to hook up and sounds great. The bass makes my whole room move shake. I'm a gamer so I like to hear shoots and movement and that's works perfect for that. I play my music and I can hear it through the whole house. No complaints LOVE IT!!!!!!
