Vizio did this unit RIGHT and SO WELL!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was blown away by this thing in the store, and even more so at home. Trying them out in the store, it clearly outperforms pricier models from Sony, JBL, Samsung, Polk, etc. Hard to believe a TV BRAND would be better than some solid audio brands. The sound quality is absolutely superb for $200 or even $250. The customization of bass, treble, sub, center, surround channel level, center channel level, surround channel balance, type of surround, dialogue level, etc. let's you really customize it to your liking. Some of the other sound bars LITERALLY just sound like TV speakers with a sub. This unit actually sounds like a mid-size HiFi set of bookshelf speakers. The fact that it comes with surrounds let's you place them wide or up near the ceiling greatly widening the sound stage. Even if you place them next to the soundbar angled outwards it works wonders. SUPER Easy to use and setup. I love how the unit text is on the remote, making it super easy to use / understand. It also let's you program your existing remotes volume buttons to control the sound bar. On top of that, it speaks to you for some functions for added ease of use. Honestly, they thought of everything with this unit. I almost bought a 600$ unit from another brand but glad I looked around!! I'm an audiophile and if you're on a budget, I HIGHLY recommend this!!! Great job Vizio!!!!!!

Great surround sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this for my bedroom to go with my 75” Sony tv. My room is like a theater room now. Great bass. Sounds awesome on movies and music. Good surround sound. Don’t know how it would work for a larger room like a living room. But it’s great for a bedroom. Maybe too much lol. My husband loves the remote with the display screen on it to show all the functions and settings. Sounds 100% better than a lg stereo I had hooked up to it. It was pretty easy to setup too. Definitely recommend this Sound Bar System.

Excellent surround sound system for 200 bucks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually had a sales rep at the store when I went to pick this unit up tried to talk me out of buying it. Glad I didn't listen to him! He tried to move me over to I believe an LG system they did not have rear speakers for $300! Again glad I didn't listen to him! They had this model on the floor and I listen to it and all they had hooked up was the sound bar without the subwoofer. And it actually sounded like the sound bars base was back completely off. I got it home with low expectations thinking I was probably going to end up returning it. A little background on me I had a theater room with 7.1 surround sound with an Onkyo receiver, speakers in the wall, really done up nicely with 125 in projection screen. I've since turned that into a billiard room and move my theater room down to the second floor. Which consists of a 75 inch Hisense cheap TV, and now this surround sound system. And I have to say, this smaller setup is 10 times better than what I had before! The only glitch I had while setting this up is for some reason, and probably user error, I had the arc HDMI plugged in to my TV and it was powered on but the Soundbar kept searching for it. What ended up happening is I had to actually be watching a channel on the TV for the soundbar to see it and pick it up not just plugged in and powered on. Other than that the installation was absolutely incredibly easy. So much more than what I expected from a $200 unit . when I first put on a great Marvel movie with a lot of surround sound action I was blown away! That was the other thing the sales rep said that I was going to have to step into around 5 to $800 to get that sound, whatever it is that pushes the sound above your head not only surround, but I found out too that this unit has it! Real basic remote control, there's no on-screen controlling and set up, but once you get the hang of using the LED bar on the sound bar to balance things, bring up levels Etc it gets really fun and easy to use. Again for this price point it was really shocking to be able to set the balance on the rear speakers to better simulate surround if you're a little off to the side of the middle! Great settings on here again very easy to read but everything you need, oh and I increase that base and not only is it great on the sound bar sound but it absolutely will shake the Room on the subwoofer now I'm no audiophile , and I'm sure people will buy this and pick it apart but for what we bought it for it absolutely slays it!

Great Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is loud and clear, especially the subwoofer, considering it’s only 5” and connects via Bluetooth, which allows you to place it wherever you like. Its very easy set-up. It has several EQ settings for games, movies, music and includes a night mode which is a nice touch. My only concern is the volume indicator on both the sound bar and remote. Although there’s a volume level light indicator on the sound bar, its difficult to see and differentiate the levels at times if you’re more than 5 ft away. I wish they had made the volume indicator a lot bigger or show it on the remote. On the remote screen, the volume controls is shown but doesn’t include the volume level. Besides that the minor inconvenience relating to volume control, the product overall is amazing. I am very satisfied with my purchase and is definitely a great buy.

Excellent product for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first VIZIO product and I am happy with the performance of the soundbar. Initially, I only connected the soundbar and about an hour and haven't felt that this soundbar is not as good as promoted. Then I connected the subwoofer and the 2 other satellite speakers, then my experience was awesome. The subwoofer really does the magic. I can feel the crystal clear sounds that was surrounded around me where I never realized the same sound was even present for the same video I have watched several time on my TV. I was impressed with the quality and experience of the sound this 5.1 channel soundbar with subwoofer produced specially within the less than $250 budget. I know there were other expensive soundbars in the market. But If you are not very fond of theater sound experience at home and still wanted to improve on your TV and music experience at home, then this is the product to go without breaking the bank. I totally recommend this product.

Punchy, Vibrant and Great Flexibility
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound system was quite surprising and impressive. Ultra flexible and well thought out. I paired it with the Hisense H8G 55 inch TV and it's worked great. The Hisense Remote works fine with the Vizio over HDMI (ARC). The subwoofer being wireless and then being able to connect the rear speakers to the sub next too or behind you is what makes it more flexible/manageable with the wires. It's been awhile since I've messed with rear speakers because - well - who likes that mess? Secondarily, the Vizio remote gives you enormous configuration options with regard to the sound from your sound bar, the subwoofer and the surround speakers. These options allow you to craft the sound you need for what you're watching. I alternate heavily between music and movies. It has a night mode which basically shuts off the sub and reduces bass. Really helps. I'm using it now. But sometimes you wanna thump. Turn night mode off and bring the sub up with your surrounds. Jurassic Park and Interstellar in 4k sounded as amazing as they looked. The good Jurassic Park (1993), of course. The sub packs a great punch for our wood floors. All in all, the great price, punchy and vibrant sound along with the flexible placement options make this a great option for anyone looking for an affordable sound bar system. I would imagine this Vizio beats some much more expensive options out there. I was looking at a 499 bar but it had no rear speakers. This bar being in stock, affordable, it's hard not to recommend it. TIP: You do need to consider the rear speakers and how they only can connect to the subwoofer and not the bar itself. This matters with surround placement. The cables from the left and right speaker will run from the wireless sub to wherever you have to have them so consider this. When I bought this I thought it'd not use the rears, but I couldn't resist. LOL ALSO: The packaging and materials provided are top notch. There's even a mounting bracket for the sound bar. Highly recommended.

Great sound for under $250!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first soundbar purchase, and I'm so glad I went with this one! I had to play around with the output settings on my tv at first, but once I got that sorted, I've been impressed with the overall sound. For it's size, the sub packs a lot of bass! I love the LCD on the remote; it makes it really easy to adjust settings. I live in an apartment, and one of my favorite settings is the night mode. This reduces the bass output and adjusts a few other settings so that the system doesn't pack quite as much of a punch. This is helpful if you have a Karen as a neighbor, or if someone else in your apartment/home is sleeping. I don't use the surround sound all the time, but I keep the system in the "dual" stereo setting, meaning that the surround speakers play the same audio as the soundbar, which works well for me and my setup. The surround is great for movies, though!

Amazing bar! You get a lot for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off let me start by saying that this thing is a beast. If you are an audiophile you should be able to agree that for the price this thing sounds pretty decent. Comparable to systems that cost way more anyway..not to mention aesthetically it’s one of the more nicely designed systems I’ve seen. Very minimalistic which I like. Now like all sound systems, there is some tweaking that needs to happen in order to maximize the sound output. Definitely use HDMI arc if available and be sure to turn off VRT:X and TruVol. This is important. I’ve listened extensively with these settings on and I can assure you leaving these off works best. Next raise the center volume and dialogue volume all the way. Very important. Personally I think the two smaller speakers sound best when set to “Dual” especially if you want extra sound output rather than anything else. If you have copied all the settings so far, make sure to set the surround level to max, which reads as “Surr Lvl” on the remote. Lastly, Bass and Subwoofer levels are entirely up to your preference. I like a punchy bass so naturally I set both of these levels pretty high, you play with them how you wish. I didn't mess too much with the treble, but again to each it’s own. I paired this with a Samsung TV so my review and settings may be a little subjective, but please respond to this review if you have any further questions or concerns, I’ll answer if I can. Lastly, the settings I provided should provide the best clarity in sound, but also be wary that certain apps or music play through the system may be louder than other apps, so always start your listening experience with the sound low and gradually work your way up and the system gets loud FAST.

It's a good buy for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read the other reviewer's complaints about the satellites turning off during quiet scenes in movies. I believe they're mostly right, though I did put my ear up to the speakers during a quiet moment and found that there were sounds playing, just less powerfully than the main bar. I think this has more to do with how surround sound audio is coded, but if Vizio is able to make adjustments to pump up the power on the satellites, that's just free performance for me. Those concerns shouldn't stop you from buying if you're desperate for a sound system and can't drop $700 for LG, Sony or Samsung. Keep up-to-date on Firmware, it's a good idea and easy to do. That being said, I really like this surround system and especially so at $150, $160 after tax. I wanted a personal setup for my desktop and this blows my jerryrigged solution out of the water. I adjusted the bass up in power and the sound signature is exactly what I enjoy. Will it compete with a Bose 700 Soundbar + 700 Soundbase (subwoofer)? No. It's 1/10th of the cost, get some real expectations and come back here. This thing is darn good for the money. I got another Vizio soundbar + sub (2.1) in college that's still pumping out great sound for my mother's TV, she loves it. I have confidence in Vizio's ability to make solid, reasonably priced products that survive the test of time.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Visio soundbar replaced a LG bar which was also a 5.1 system. This Visio system is so much better. The center speaker is much clearer, producing dialogue that can be heard better. The subwoofer produces nice bass and when turned up can actually get to be over powering. The remote that is provided lets you adjust and tweak the sound in several ways. All in all this is a really great value and nice system. Nicely packaged and easy to set up. Would highly recommended!

This thing is stupid!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yesterday I purchased the Samsung HTS-350 got it home hooked everything up and just wasn’t satisfied with the volume coming from the sound bar. The bass on the sub was just ok to me. I previously had the Vizio VHT-215 which I had for years and the sub went out. I felt like the sound out of that was even better than the Samsung. This morning I went back to my local BestBuy and they were sold out of the Vizio V51-H6 and one of the employees told me they had one at the BestBuy a town over. I hurried over and was able to get it before anyone else did. Setup on it was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes. I made a few adjustments on it and this thing shook the walls! After testing it the wife came in and said it was rattling pictures in the hallway lol. I am completely satisfied with this sound bar and the satellite speakers just add to the touch! It would be cool if they were completely wireless but still a cool setup!

@200$ you cannot pass this up.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know it can be hard to understand but just trust this. I can from the 700$ sony HTG-700 sound bar, and I really was extremely unimpressed for the price point, and if you see a sound bar that says "virtualized" dolby atmos, do yourself a favor and don't buy. The truth is that your not going to get true dolby atmos quality unless you go with a speaker set that has the satellite speakers that go behind and usually contain an upwards firing speaker costing upwards of 1000$. That being said, holy smokes if I knew I just had to spend 200$ to get everything I was really looking for I would went with this one in a heart beat. This has dolby digital plus decoding, dts, dts:x for 3D audio as well. So pretty much everything but atmos, and that my friend paired with a FULL high frequency coverage for all the speakers that produces sharp high quality surround sound from all directions, even above!! The sub will speak for itself and has more than enough kick for any entertainment/ living room space. do not be offput by the size of the bar,sub and satellite speakers, because after I plugged it in and booted up the most recent episode of mandalorian ( the one with the big worm on tatooine) and my jaw dropped. as opposed to the sony that's supposed to be superior but left me saying time to return after a couple of shows n movies. Vizio you have absolutely outdone yourselves with this 5.1 surround sound system. It's not only top notch because of the price, but because of extremely high quality for the price point. Looking forward to purchasing the the elevate for my living room, and highly recommend to anybody looking for a high quality listening experience, not just a good deal.

Fantastic sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this setup for a year now and these are great speakers. I bought this soundbar system to replace my pc satellite speakers which were pretty old but still in good condition, but even then I could immediately tell difference. The soundbar alone feels worth the price, but with the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers I feel like I underpaid for this setup. One of the features I was surprised at how much I appreciated was the remote. It has a small digital screen that is incredibly helpful in adjusting settings. It's not faultless as it can feel a bit obtuse at times. I will mention I have not used the arc feature as this is paired with a pc monitor instead of smart tv, but the direct optical from my PS4 puts out fantastic surround on both movies and games, the aux ports from my pc sound great even without the surround,(or doubled, as you can copy the front sound to the rear on non surround sources) and the bluetooth works great with both my phone and my wireless turntable.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Affordable. Great for a bedroom(where I’m using it), or a smaller living room. Sound quality is good with plenty of options to suit your preference. I had to adjust the levels of the speakers a little but that’s true for any set of speakers. Bass is much fuller than expected with a small subwoofer like this one. Very quick to set up with easy to understand instructions. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for speakers in this price range. Bonus points to whoever decided to put a small screen on the remote. Not even my pricey set has that.
