I've purchased the Vizio 5.1 sound system twice now because of how happy I have been with it. For the price it is the best value without question for anyone looking to create a home theatre experience without spending too much. The individual pieces by themselves might seem pretty small compared to other standalone soundbars or subwoofers etc... but (so long as you install it in a room that isnt a HUGE open space with +30 feet high ceilings) I have never had any issues the sound it produces is powerful and accurate. The surround speakers (with a little tuning via the remote) genuinely stand out, they are not just a gimmick or lazy attempt at surround. Of course this 5.1 system has a few compromises compared to more expensive setups but I can honestly say, unless you are an audiophile, it is 100% worth getting the Vizio 5.1 sound system over a more expensive sound setup and using the extra money you will have saved on getting a slightly better TV to add to the movie watching experience.

Great for the medium size bedroom I have it in, Did not try it in living room. In the room, the sound is excellent and more than loud enough to watch movies. Full bass and surround sound come through.

We purchased this for improving the audio experience in our Living room TV, Wanted some thing which is not too big, the Vizio 5.1 channel system perfectly suits our need. Audio quantiy including low frequency is excellent. They ship with all the necessary wires and attachments. There are reviewers complaining about BT, I have used the HDMI ARC which works great for my use case. Also there are people complaining about the wires. I am not too sure why. With wireless subwoofers and capability of subwoofers to drive the satellite speakers I was able to easily hide the wires..

Easy to use and set up it sounds amazing and clear and has alot of adjustments u can make and the bass sound really good with movies and music

I’m really impressed with these. I’m pretty picky when it comes to speakers and these are great for the price. The sound bar is a good size, and the sound is clear all around. The sub is small but gives out good bass. I have this set up in my bedroom and it’s perfect. I wasn’t going to write a review because what else can I say that others haven’t, right? But I was watching Hamilton and I could hear things that I can’t usually hear through my Harman Kardon, so I wanted to give my feedback. With all of that said, there’s are a few things that ultimately made me give this 4/5 stars. There’s occasionally some crackling and it doesn’t seem to be from the volume or the cords, everything’s plugged in properly. And I don’t like the little screen on the remote. I know you gotta keep cost down somehow but I wish the screen was big enough for more than one like of text. TL;DR Overall I’m impressed with the sound but the remote sucks.

I’ve had sound bar systems that have cost more ,but only sounded half as good as this system. Great remote and customizable sound. Bass is very good from the subwoofer. Remote speakers are a nice game changer!

Great sound bar, very easy to set up. This is the second one I buy. First one was for a projector I had set up. Was using that terrible speaker from the projector, sound bar was a big time game changer. And to the tv I paired the second one with, in the living room it made a dramatic difference. Smart tv, and sound bar. Or even a chrome cast to a tv and sound bar, do yourself a favor and get yourself one!! You won’t regret it. Plus it’s a good deal and Vizio makes good products!

My Sony 2.1 subwoofer stopped working so I decided to try the vizio 5.1 and I'm really impressed with the sound quality and the remote control with small screen makes the big difference compared to similar products where you need to figure out what settings are changed on the bar when hitting something from the remote control.

Picked one of these up a month ago, set up was simple and it sounds great in my living room. Sound is crisp and clear, surround sound is effective, and the bass is surprisingly good. No complaints from me at all.

Absolutely love this surround sound!!! The quality of the sound and bass is tremendous. Instructions to assemble is really easy. It is also really easy to mount.

This thing is great easy to set up easy to use and sounds wonderful. Bass is good and deep. Hits hard and clear crisp sound with movies and gaming.

This setup works great and the sound is great for the price. Super easy to set up. Hooked HDMI cable between my TV and the sound bar and everything was automatic. The sub doesn’t rattle the room, but fills in nicely.

I love this sound bar set because it provides high quality audio from every speaker and subwoofer. It is easy to set up and the box brings the mounting parts to place the back speaker anywhere you like. It really works well with any streaming app, immercing you in every audio that is produced by the sound bar. The subwoofer sounds great, and the speaker do not distort the audio even at very high volume. I think it is a good sound bar investment because of the price, the audio quality and the sleek design.

Great sound bar system! I really like that it comes with mounting bracket (I wish it came with the hardware and drywall anchors) and how easy it is to set up. I will say there are much better sound systems out there, but this is a great budget friendly option.

Fast and easy to set up! Sounds great! Separate treble control in the small easy-to-read and intuitive remote. The small screen on the remote lights up so you can see it in low lighting. I purchased the Sony HTSC40 from another big box store but returned it because all I was hearing was bass and the preset Sony midrange. I like to hear the highs. The surround sound is fabulous and I live in a small house with a roughly 15 x 15 living room space. This is my first ever Vizio product and I'm very impressed.

Awesome sound ! Excellent Bass roaring through movies and regular TV takes everything to a whole new level with crystal clear effects. The surround 5.1 sound is great. I bought as Display open box item and was given wrong remote. I called Vizio and registered and spoke with Executive support whom got me the correct remote in the mail several days later. Glad that was free which explains the big discount I received from store. I'm using the optical output since my 40" Polaroid TV 1080pi didn't have ARC on my Hdmi output to send sound back through HDMI. Only thing i notice is about every 5 minutes a 2 second glitch in sound. Unsure if sound bar or Optical output. Jury still out, but I got full warranty from Manufacture and i put 4 year warranty from Best Buy so I'm covered either way if becomes a issue or problem. I like the product

Sounds great. Setup was easy. It did require a firmware update to work correctly with ARC but was easy to do with a USB thumb drive. The sub sounds great and kicks in the rumble. I love that the sub is wireless and the rear speakers connect to it.

Connected to vizio tv so everything is automatic. Has its own remote but not needed, tv remote controls it. Good price,good sound, compact size. They have bigger models and they have cheaper ones- this sound bar system is the perfect balance for my family's needs.

I had purchased this surround sound system after my first soundbar had stopped working. I got it at a great price, and let me tell you, this thing is a beast! The subwoofer is so strong that it can shake whatever room you're in. I have it set up next to my couch with the opening facing my couch and it makes everything I watch feel like a 4D experience, I can feel every explosion, every engine rev, it's amazing!

This product was very pleasing. The sub speakers really made it feel like the sound was coming from all sides. It was an easy and quick set up. I had minimum difficulties. Sound was boosted and sound quality was very good.
