||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The soundbar works as a basic speaker. I got it because the built-in speaker on my TV started failing. The quality of the surround sound speakers is inconsistent. Sometimes the signal gets to them, sometimes only to one of them, etc. The Bluetooth works fine, but there isn’t much you can do with it except play music from your phone. Other speakers are better for that, but if this speaker system is all you have, it’s better than nothing. The main problem with this system is that the Wi-Fi signal doesn’t actually work. It’s supposed to transmit a Wi-Fi signal, where you go to your smart phone’s Wi-Fi settings to choose the Vizio device, and then go back to the SmartCast app to connect to it. But the Wi-Fi device never shows up for either iOS or Android phones. (See all the 1-star reviews for the “SmartCast” app. The app itself isn’t the problem; the problem is with the speaker.) That means you can’t pair the app with the soundbar, you can’t connect the soundbar to the Internet to update the soundbar firmware, etc. Basically, it’s NOT a good price for what you get.
