I have to turn off the unit every time I turn off the TV. There's no sound until I do this. Otherwise the only problem I experience is changing from Antenna mode, to internet and watching a DVD. The volume level is not the same for each input.

Want to see a grown man cry give him one of these. Course the backstory is I live with my kids and I benefit as well but they watch more TV than I do.

This lowers the quality of the audio. Typically you would run from console to soundbar to tv, letting you use PCM. Just be warned.

I prefer louder dialogue to hear people talking. My 2017 model has more punch in the subwoofer, but this one is satisfactory. For $200 you can't go wrong.

Set this up in the living room hooked up to the tv and plugged in an echo show 5 to the smart assistant port. Automatically switched to the show 5 whenever voice commands are given.
