The system was easy to setup and it works I thought it would've been I little better Quality. The sound during a great movie will just pause for 3 or 4 seconds then come back on for no reason I really don't like that But I don't find it worth my time to pack it up and go thought all the trouble of returning it I am just going to get a better one and put this one in the work shop.

Great, when it works

Purchased this to go with my 55 inch Vizio OLED TV. TV will pair with the sound bar but for some reason sound bar will stop working. CEC is enabled but it will not rediscover the sound bar. No amount of powering off, powering on, or rebooting TV or sound bar will get it to reconnect. Then in a day or two it will suddenly start working again but it will stop working, again, after a few days. Very frustrating.

Downgrade mess of a soundbar.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the older model (VIZIO - SmartCast 5.1 Channel Sound) and sadly the bar broke so i decided to get a newer one. I would love to say how awesome the upgrade is but then i would be lying. This V-Series has been nothing but a pain in the butt. From getting it setup to wall-mounting and just down right disappointing sound. Out of the box the default sound is almost as bad as my Tv audio. After hours of tweaking and changing settings I finally got it to a half decent sound but by no means Good. The wall-mount setup is like 2 steps back from the older model. Once mounted you can not easily remove it. This is a big problem when needing to add cables. The so called Virtual:X that they even place in the title is completely useless. The Virtual:X does nothing but muddy the sound and make things less clear. The Vizio Mobile app no longer works and there is no way that after hours and hours of looking you can connect the bar to wifi. This should not cost more money and have less features. Having the old soundbar connected to Wifi made things simple and easy. Like changing setting on my phone or updating the firmware with 1 click. I know this seems like a good buy for the money but please save your money and find a better system.

Annoying sound delay

I gave it an earnest try for three weeks, but returned it at the last moment. Two issues lead to this decision. The first was that there was frequently a sound delay when changing channels or when switching from commercials to shows or between shows. I tried all sorts of settings on the tv to try to fix this and couldn't get the issue to stop. The issue persisted when connecting both through HDMI and optical. I went to the Vizio website and downloaded the software update and did that as well to no avail. Since we have a Samsung TV I think we will try to a Samsung system next. The second issue that lead to returning the system was that the remote speakers kept shutting off. Because of how the system was set up in my house, I would have to move a sofa and table to get to the subwoofer in order to power it back on. When it was working the sound was good, but not spectacular. Even at this price, I couldn't justify keeping this.

Wanted to love it; but it WAS a thin line!!!!

When it worked, it was AWESOME!! The problem I had was like so many; the rear speakers and the subwoofer would cut in and out constantly. This would just DESTROY the immersion of any film. I TRIED EVERYTHING!! 1.) I updated the firmware to the most recent at the time of this review; 1.1.0.7 (I did it multiple times with different USB sticks.) I also made sure the unit installed it by pressing the +/- VOL buttons on the sound bar. 2.) I paired and repaired the Bluetooth signal from the sub and the bar, multiple times. 3.) I reset the subwoofer close to the bar to see if it was a distance issue, 0-3 meters made no difference. 4.) I attempted to set-up this unit with multiple sources; Living room Smart TV, my PC, Bedroom Smart TV, ect with same problems reproduced. 5.) Contacted Vizio and tried all trouble shooting possibilities and nothing helped. Obviously got a dud. Actually got 2 duds.. Quality control for this unit must have fell by the waist side. Again; when this unit worked I was floored. Really sounds great. So good I am going to exchange it for their more expensive Atmos version and pray it works like intended...

No Dolby atmos or virtual x

Good but can be better

The small side speakers need to be louder but you need to turn up the volume but that makes the overall sound louder and can’t really appreciate the side speaker due to be so much lower volume than main bar.

Fine for the price

But disappointed it doesn’t have hdmi output so you can’t pass through signal from a streaming box to tv through this unit, so I’m stuck turning this on and off separately

Gave Vizio a shot and regret it

Less than 6 months later the dialogue for movies has bad static/distortion issues. I've tweaked multiple settings to attempt improving it and nothing has changed so far. (Might do a factory reset next) I should have stuck with Samsung. I've had a couple of their soundbars before with little issue. Vizio isn't exactly known for quality...
