    Speakers and Subwoofer Disconnect Frequently

    Sound is great when it works... however the subwoofer and satellite speakers disconnect frequently when watching TV. As suggested, I have successfully updated to the new 1.1.0.7 firmware and the issue is still present. It is very annoying / distracting, almost making this system unusable. Going to contact support but hopefully will not have to return this item. - Will update the review if this issue can be resolved.

    With this being the Second set of these after the first sound bar burned out, all I have to say about this product is, don’t forget to get the Extended Warranty.

    I really wish I would have read the 1 star reviews for folks that had this soundbar but didnt make it to 2 years before something went wrong. I’ve had mine for about 17 months now, been working great until the rear speakers stopped working. Cables are fine, connections are fine, worked with support, did the firmware upgrade, nothing fixed it. Conveniently just beyond a year so I’m SOL since I didn’t get the extended warranty. I would highly suggest passing on this one unless you either buy the extended warranty or just plan on having to buy a new sound system a little over a year in. The experience has certainly soured my opinion of Vizio seeing other similar reviews to the point that I won’t be buying any more Vizio products.

    Only Good Was Best Buy's No-Hassle Return

    Bad. Bad. BAD. Upon arrival, the eARC channel did not work. This is important because eARC transmits uncompressed audio; optical can only handle a compressed signal. And the unit would not shut off either from the remote or the manual button on the top of the soundbar. Next, the remote from 5 feet was responsive about 50% of time. Had to repeatedly press the volume button. Three days in, the other remote function buttons stopped working at all. The rear speakers sounded as though they were receiving a - weak - signal from the Orion galaxy, just statically background noise - if you held your ear to the speakers. On the 10th day, the volume would - on its own - go to maximum. Lowering the volume by repeatedly clicking the remote worked for about 10 seconds then back to maximum. Now don't confuse that with the subwoofer. The sub made the kind of noise you would hear from the crowd at the 9th hole of a major golf tournament; which is to say - none. I bought a box at Fed Ex, packaged it and returned the unit to Best Buy for a full refund on the 12th day. The only good experience was Best Buy's no-hassle return.

    This speaker VIZIO could have done a better job in instructions for setup. The bluetooth connection to TV is terrible to get to setup correctly. I just ended up hardwiring the speaker to the TV with a cable my Dads speaker had in the back of it. -- Yes my TV is a VIZIO as well so the seemless connection like other companies have, VIZIO is lacking. WHEN this speaker works it sounds OK.

    Vizion V-51 soundbar

    Soundbar has descent sound. I have it hooked up to my vizio p series tv. Sometimes when playing games the sound just stops working, I have to unplug the soundbar and then plug it back in. For the money its good, but not the best.

    It’s a decent sound bar but it’s not to loud and the sound fluctuates between night and low from YouTube to Netflix
