Awful sound

You should hear the bass rumble during explosions, planes flying, earthquakes, action scenes, and anything that would normally have a deep tone. You may not get these tones when watching something like a sitcom or the nightly news. If you have a VIZIO television there is a channel on the ‘Watchfree’ service that plays action movies with no subscription or rental fee, this might be a good place to find some content to test your sound bars limits. Looks great but missing some items

Great product

The rear speakers in a surround sound system are used for music, directional audio like a car or air plane passing from one side to another, or for environmental noises like maybe a beeping button. The dialog audio typically comes from your front speakers. If you are having difficulty hearing dialog audio, I would recommend to leave the rear speakers at factory settings and increase your center settings. It could also help to adjust your surround settings and your volume leveling settings. Very easy to set up and the remote is very good u can see in the dark what u want to set up. The subwoofer have powerful bass! You can find better or much better system way more expensive, but what Vizio give you for this price I doubt you can beat it.

GOOD SOUND SYSTEM, LACKING UPGRADES SAME AS 2010

Nothing outstanding, but everything is there. This appears to be a refresh of S3851X-C4. Same remote style, same programming, better sound. The reason for 3 stars is there isn't a lot of innovation or extra value; but this is $70 cheaper then the old 5.1 systems. Pros: -Deep bass, sounds like a movie theater -decent highs -Immersive sound, changes entire experience -Price Cons: -Lacking mids (not to noticeable if you turn the bass up a bit, not to be confused with sub-woofer) -Preset rear surround is way to low. For the best experience you need to adjust the rear surround up to 1/2 levels from the top. -Still doing the same old thing. I wish a manufacture would sell a soundbar/sub package with modular speakers that you can add. Integrate a 150W amp into the sub. Most people don't want a big receiver, which is why they opt for sound bars. This way we could get away from all these crappy surround speakers that seem like they are from 2010. I would gladly opt for something modular at a higher price point, because I could buy over time at a higher price. I have looked at systems from manufactures like Polk, which look the part and are modular, but the sound is lacking because there is no amp for the speakers in the sub or soundbar.

Excellent Affordable Sound System

It was very easy to setup and really changed my movies/show experience. The side speakers are just a bit quieter than I’d like. Overall extremely pleased, and great value.
