Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 3 of these Vizio 5.1 channel systems, the last two with a wireless subwoofer. While the sound system itself is great with the ability to customize the settings, the longevity has been poor. My most recent system just died completely at 13 months. The system before this had a failure of the HDMI input after about one year and then about 9 months later, the optical input failed too. They cost a lot less, but appear to be poorly manufactured - you get what you pay for. I just bought a Sony system since I have had excellent performance from my current and prior Sony TVs.

BEWARE: Subwoofer emits constant rumbling sound!

It sounds fantastic for its price, but after a week of using it I noticed the subwoofer constantly emits a rumbling sound even during moments of silence or low noise. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it. Vizio support is unable to correct the issue as the issue likely requires a firmware update. After a year of complaints from users, the issue persists. Vizio is showing no signs of correcting or acknowledging the problem.
