I would give it a 5 star based on the product but the item I purchased was clearly used, I bought and paid full price for the sound bar and you can tell it was used, I called Vizio to talk about the warranty and they told me the serial number had already been activated

First off, I like good sound, but I'm not an audio snob nor have I owned any uber expensive sound bars to compare. I could see how some might like or prefer something with a few more bells and whistles or depth. That said, I'm a big fan after about a month's use of this set. My TV had a decent soundbar built in, but it's still night and day difference with this V-51 in play. I have a medium sized living room and I rarely turn this thing up high at all...plenty loud! A nice bonus is the ability to use it as a fancy bluetooth speaker off your PC or phone when you want to. I watch a fair amount of movies and sports, and so far it's been a champ. I messed with the settings a bit to find what sounded best to me...it's not an overwhelming set up, the remote works fine, and after a little trial and error I got it set up so that really I don't need to mess with it anymore. My TV or my Shield remote turns it off and on, and the small satellite speakers have been a welcome addition...I'm glad I went for it over a 2.1 setup. I have the sub next to the couch, and the satellites behind, slightly elevated using the simple wall mounts. So far so good...it's only been a month, but so far I give it high marks for setup (the box has everything you could possibly need and nicely organized), sound, and value. Fit my needs well. I've heard the older Vizio 5.1s and the V-21 are also great units, but so far I'm happy enough to have popped for this one. Oh, and worth a mention, Best Buy matched a lower price I found on the exact same unit on another site. BB cust service was quick and efficient on getting my order discounted and the shipment on its way to me. I hope durability shines as well, but only time will tell.

"Audio system is unavailable". Worked great for a month and now rarely works. Keeps switching to TV speakers through HDMI Arc. Best Buy has terrible return policy and I will never shop here again. Amazon for now on.

Amazing sound, great bass and extremely loud!!! I highly recommend this Vizio soundbar system to anyone looking for a new sound system. Remote also has a digital screen perfect for easy tuning and adjustment. Bluetooth and wireless subwoofers connects perfectly without any issues.

Price: I thought the price point for this 5.1 sound bar system was fair and inline with other makes and models. Construction: Seems very well built, doesn't fee cheaply made. Set up: It was the easiest set up I have ever encountered - 101 Highs: Crispy crisp! Mid tones: Very well reproduced by this system. Lows (Bass): This is where the biggest surprise occurred. There is no lack of punch from this sub. (I have it set-up in a sm-med sized bedroom) The punch will surprise you! Remote Control: The system has many adjustment you can use to tailor the sound to your preference. It even has a backlit LCD on the remote - it makes it easy to know what you adjusting. In short, you cannot beat the immersive sound quality from a system under $200 (on sale - normally $249). So glad I took the leap and purchased it - so will YOU!

I went into BestBuy searching for a Samsung brand center speaker to pair with my 65in curved screen Samsung T.V. After viewing and listening to the Samsung sound bar, i was pretty impressed. The sales person asked me to consider other brands and demonstrated this Vizio system and I was blown away with it's performance for the price point! The install / setup was very straight forward and simple. The center speaker pairs easily and quickly with my t.v. as well as the sub to the center speaker. The small surround speakers are wired AND do connect to the subwoofer, but the wires are plenty long. While the surround speakers are small, they do not lack in performance. The subwoofer has plenty of bass as well. I really enjoy the custom programing you can do through the remote. I can balance the sound level for the group of speakers, where I can make the surround speakers louder to better fill in my space with sound. The surround speakers were easy to mount on the wall and providing my own wall anchors and screws wasn't a big deal. My only complaint with the Vizio is the mounting option for the center speaker. While the center speaker is NOT extremely heavy, I do not feel comfortable mointing it to drywall using anchors. I would much rather screw right into the wall studs. Here is the problem, the template and the mounting spacing on the center speaker is 24in on center. My t.v. is mounted on a load bearing wall with studs 16in on center, so the mounting using the included hardware is no good for me. I was still able to figure out a solution; just be aware of this mounting configuration. Other than that, my family and I are really enjoying this product!

This Vizio Sound Bar is a replacement for my old 2.1 Vizio model SB3821-D-6 that failed after 3.5 years of constant use, and I was pleased with the sound and ease of use. Now this new V-51 Vizio Sound Bar Exceeds my previous Vizio, and after installing it with our 70” LG Flatscreen, it’s like sitting in my own personal theater. The Base module kicks out a massive amount of Bass and at one point I thought one of our pictures was about to fall off the wall. Unfortunately our present room configuration doesn’t allow for the surround speakers to be mounted behind me, so I angled them at a 45 degree angle away from the center speakers which I guess gives me sort of a “virtual” Surround effect. The remote that’s included is entirely different from the old 2.1 version, but after getting past a lengthy self inflicted “learning curve” I managed to get all of the settings just right for our huge tile floored living room. The only disclaimer is that the owners manual could have been a LOT more detailed on how to use the settings. The set up information was great, and I appreciated that it had the HDMI-ARC connection that was absent from the older model. Finally, I highly recommend this unit with the hopes that it serves me longer than the previous unit was able to.

Sounds fantastic and makes setup incredibly easy. Coming from the crappy speakers most manufacturers put into their televisions over the past several years, this sounds fantastic. All of the sound has remarkable depth and the surround works with no fuss. The subwoofer may be Wireless, but it does not require any needlessly complicated pairing processes. The two side-channels connect via cables to the subwoofer, but this is not a problem as the cables are long and the side channels tend to be near the rear anyway. This makes the natural placement for us to have the subwoofer behind the couch, with the side channels flanking it. We tried both Optical audio and the HDMI ARC port, and the quality seems to be the same either way. If your TV is new enough to have the ARC port, use it; it allows for easy control of the sound bar and speakers using just the TV remote. On the subject of remotes, the included one is quite simple and has an LCD display to show you what menu you are in, giving you ease of adjustment for the equalizer, the levels of the different audio channels, and the desired audio input. We ended up having to adjust the Center channel (the soundbar itself) to be louder, but that was merely due to the layout of our speaker arrangement - our TV and soundbar are across the room, while the side channels and woofer are practically on top of us. Overall, especially considering the price, this unit is performing outstandingly.

Bought 2 Sony and 1 Lg Soundbars ,1 Samsung 7.1 were a lot more money and did not like them ,this one 5.1 ,price for Myrewards was 200$, It is steal for that price range. Backlit Remote,Small very Powerfull Subwoofer , Has night mood ,actually it has all the options that comes with expensive models but the Dolby Atmos. The only drawback for this Soundbar is you have to connect the extra 2 speakers to the Subwoofer,which is not an issue had room behind the TV on the stand. Really enjoy it for affordable price and came with all cables.
