    Strange squeals out of the TV. Keep losing Netflix causing me to reset the TV to factory. Not very good quality sound.

    I don't like that you have to stream Netflex to the tv via you phone or tablet. Wish I would have know prior to buying.

      Thank you for your feedback. To better serve users who prefer a more traditional app experience, SmartCast TV is now starting to roll out to our 2017 SmartCast models. SmartCast TV makes apps accessible directly from the display.  This update will download automatically to your display if it’s connected to the internet and let you know with an onscreen message when it’s downloaded. Once the update has been downloaded simply press the ‘Input’ button on your VIZIO remote control, and choose the input labeled ‘SmartCast’. VIZIO

    Thought the tv had built in apps but it doesn't. Picture quality is fine. But 4k looks like 1080p

      Thanks for your feedback. While the display does not have built in applications it does support the VIZIO SmartCast platform. So your favorite applications like Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and more can still be enjoyed on your display once they've been casted from a mobile device such as your smartphone. This makes finding and managing your content much simpler, and allows your applications to remain up to date. VIZIO

    Got this tv open box... it’s okay... but honestly it’s a lot slower than a Roku TV.

      Thank you for your feedback. We are working on a firmware update that adds select applications onto the display. As long as your display is connected to your internet it should receive the update automatically when it is released. VIZIO

    I bought this to replace my 10 year old Vizio that was great. This tv has decent viewing quality but terrible sound. It doesn't have an antenna connection at all so there's no way to watch free television channels which is a deal breaker for me. I returned this tv.

While this unit does not have a tuner, it does come equipped with 4 HDMI inputs, so you can still connect your favorite external devices like Blu-Ray players, gaming consoles and more. If you need to connect a device such as an antenna, we would recommend an external HDMI tuner.     When I purchased this product I specifically searched for SMART TV's and no where did this state it was a SMART cast. The only app that worked was NETFLIX however all other apps required casting from my smartphone enabled device which prohibited me from using the device for other purposes.

      This model has 2 ways of getting applications. You can 'Cast' thousands of applications from your smartphone or tablet. This model also has SmartCast TV which uses built in applications like Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, (and several others) that can be accessed directly on your display using the included remote.

      We're constantly updating the SmartCast TV suite of built in applications with new apps. If you have any requests for additional applications, we'd love to hear which applications you're looking for! VIZIO

      Thanks for the feedback. Picture quality can be impacted by a number of different factors including personal preference and the environment the display is located in. You can access picture settings such as brightness, color , and contrast from the TV menu in an effort to calibrate the picture more to your preference, and to get the best picture possible based on the displays location, such as needing to adjust brightness levels to compensate for high or low lighting.     I am certain the TV will be a fine product. What I am disappointed in is the customer service and the sales staff. I have spent hours trying to clear up a ppurchace I never made. I changed my mind and decided to buy something else out. The salesman made an error and I was still charged for the stuff
