Awful quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is nothing like other Vizio models. It's poor quality, chromecast is a joke and the sound goes in and out.

Not Satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv does not come with a cable connection and constantly buffers when hooked up to my PS4 needless to say I returned it
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from VIZIOEntertainmentExpert
Posted .Thanks for taking the time to fill out a review. Buffering is an issue that takes place when a video is playing faster than your device/internet can download it. When connected to a device, like the PS4, the Display is getting a video and audio signal from the PS4, but the PS4 is the device actively downloading the content. Any buffering that occurs would be an issue with either the streaming service, internet connection, or the device (PS4), The HDMI connection from the device to the Display wouldn't be able to cause buffering.

Excellent TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 50-inch TV on Cyber Monday for $220 off retail price, so I paid $379.99 and picked it up in store the next day. For that price, I feel it is an excellent TV. I was looking for a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the Samsung TVs that were similar in price only had a 60 Hz refresh rate, so I decided to go with this VIZIO. The picture is very clear and sharp for football games as well as general TV shows and movies. I haven't been able to watch anything in 4k yet because my cable company does not offer any 4k programming, and the built-in Chromecast does not support Netflix's 4k shows or movies (Netflix 4k is only compatible with the Chromecast Ultra, so far). If you want to watch 4k programming, you'll need to purchase an Ultra Blu-ray player, the new Playstation 4 Pro, the new Xbox One S, the Chromecast Ultra, TiVo VOLT, or wait until your cable/satellite provider begins offering 4k set-top boxes. The 1080p programming still looks great, however, so I'm happy with it for now until I buy some 4k equipment down the road. My previous TV was a 32-inch LG, and the picture quality on this is definitely better. If you don't mind purchasing the extra equipment to enjoy 4k programming, or you're happy with 1080p for now, I would recommend this TV.

Smartcast is screen mirror
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Syncing it sucks! You better have a smartphone or forget about it
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from VIZIOEntertainmentExpert
Posted .Thank you for your feedback. SmartCast displays and other devices utilize chromecast technology. This turns your smart phone, tablet, or computer into a remote telling the display to go to a service such as Youtube or Netflix and play this content. You aren't actually mirroring the control device.

Best Value UHD TV on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is a hidden gem in my opinion. Some of the first couple of reviews that got posted were negative and brought down the ratings a bit, so when I went to the Best Buy in El Segundo, CA on black friday, I was happy to snag this one. The other reviewers must have a bad cable setup or slow wifi or something because I had no problem. I literally was watching football through the ESPN app within 10 minutes of pulling it out of the box very straight forward. Picture is beautiful. Make sure you have a fast wifi connection, preferably the new 5 GHz networks that have been out for a few years. It has a feature that allows you to control it through your smart phone or tablet, make sure your phone or tablet has strong signal before you set it up. Hold your phone close to the TV during setup, it connects via blue tooth. Picture is beautiful, the review that complained about a bad picture I think was using old school COAX cable. I've found the picture to be crystal clear, I'm very happy with it. It will be difficult to find a better deal on a UHD TV. I've had another HD vizio for a few years and have been very happy with it. Had a samsung plasma before that and they are comparable.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. While this unit does not have a built in tuner, it does come equipped with 4 HDMI inputs. You can still connect your favorite devices like your cable or satellite box, gaming consoles, BluRay players and more. If you need to connect a device using a coaxial cable, such as an antenna, you can utilize an HDMI tuner (sold separately) to connect the device.

2/3 Vizio purchases died within a few years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After loving the 3D Vizio I bought in 2013 but the speakers were horrible so I bought a a Vizio 5.1 speaker setup. Sounded amazing but the soundbar died probably around 2017. In 2016 though I bought this 50" 4k tv that looked great and worked fine for a couple of years, sadly dying in 2019. Would have been 5 stars had I not had surround sound speakers die within a short period of time and then a tv that was 3 years newer die within about the same period of time. I cannot recommend Vizio anymore. If the speakers lasted longer I'd have given this a 4 star rating and assumed it wasn't the brand but it's definitely put me off Vizio now.

Great TV for the price!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I have been eye balling 4K TV's for some time now. I needed to upgrade from my 32 Samsung LCD. Nothing wrong with it, just wanted to get my hands on a 4K since the sales were going on. If you are not a tech person, this tv may be confusing, and difficult to use. For those of you in the tech world, great TV, and picture quality is awesome! Obviously there's no 4K content but the videos on YouTube shows how these TV's perform. As far as gaming, I have an Xbox one and it looks awesome! Can't imagine how the one S performs on this TV (now I have to upgrade) lol. I've only had the TV for about an hour into writing this review and I'm not one to write reviews, let me tell you. Don't think twice about buying the TV. These TV's are pretty much manufactured by SONY, so what your getting is close to the Bravia series, without the Bravia price. Only major difference I noticed between the Bravia and Vizio. Bravia had thinner edges and HDR (high danamic range) which enhances far beyond the human eye can notice. Hope my review helps with your TV decisions, and no, I'm not a vizio rep or bestbuy supporter.

Great Value, beautiful picture.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess the only bad thing that I can say about this TV is the lack of capabilities of the physical remote control, and slight trouble setting up the Chromecast feature. Other than that, it has everything I need and want. I primarily stream from a Roku Premiere+ box, with occasional Chromecast. 4K is beautiful, although there's still not a lot of content out yet. Sound is adequate, although I must admit I'm not really an audiophile. What I specifically love about this TV is that although the physical remote isn't very capable, the virtual remote on the Vizio Smartcast app is. It allows me to turn on/off the set, adjust volume, change input, and adjust picture settings. Using a Roku player, this is very convenient. Instead of needing both the Roku remote and TV remote, I just use my iPhone and switch between the Roku app remote and the Vizio app remote. Easy peasy. Also, love that I can Chromecast without having to manually switch input; it just automatically switches for you when you hit that cast button on your phone. However, it has happened more than once where the Chromecast feature is disconnected from my home network, prompting me to pair it again. This is an inconvenience.

Decent TV at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is easy to use. The remote is very simple (almost too simple). The 4K is noticeably different than 1080p and 50" is the perfect size for my home. Really great price for what we got.

Decent Upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't resist the great deal on this product! Our main goals were to upgrade in size and screen quality. We do not plan on using any of the smart features as our Xbox One is much preferred on that end. So far, so good. Great price and much happier with the size over our 37 inch

Best deal, best buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this 50" inch TV on sale and its a perfect size for my living room. Picture quality is very good. Has the added benefit of built in Chrome cast (although some people don't consider it as good). The installation of TV is simple and the instructions to set it up is included. Chrome cast apps can be accessed ONLY using phone / tablet - - For mobile phone / tablet users, Vizio smart cast app is needed to access and play media. The TV needs to be set up (Bluetooth and WiFi needed) with the app before using it. - For laptop users, a Google chrome browser extension can be added which makes it convenient to cast anything from your laptop onto the TV. -TV does has its own remote, but its not very functional. - For cable users, you can use your cable box remote for viewing all channels.

Pretty good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always love vizio tv's this one is actually very decent only one issue i have and that setting up everything threw the phone and adjusting all setting. I don't like having to adjust contrast noise reduction film mode or others attributes threw a mobile device this should be secondary. Beside that this tv is very beautiful and picture is exceptional especially 4k.

Great price for a 4K TV.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K looks really great... I was having trouble with the app couldn't get it to connect I was getting sick of it I was even about to go return the TV and just buy a different one until I figured out that you have to register your phone. If any of you are having trouble with the app just register your phone and then everything will start to connect hope this helps.
