Really good TV for the price. Lots of options. Chromecast is nice. Only challenge is getting the picture right. You can only do this on the app. Also, it takes a lot of changing

Still getting used to not having a tuner, but the picture is fantastic. One problem I have is a loud cracking noise when it switches from a commercial back to programming.

TV works good. Picture quality, features are perfect. Fast processor. Took me a little bit to connect phone with the TV. Once it was set up then experience was just great

    Too much Hype

I purchased this Tv because of the 2160p and the 4K but the picture quality is average. My Samsung that I got 2 years ago has a much better picture. I do not like that you have to use your phone/tablet to change the picture quality. I tried all the settings and just couldn't find one that I could live with. I had to take the Tv back to Best Buy.

    Nice picture, terrible sound...

I was enticed by the price. I viewed the picture at a local shop and was pleasantly pleased with the quality. I ordered an open box to save a couple bucks. Shipping was very quick, however the unit came missing a couple of screws for the feet. The picture quality is great. I have it hooked up to an XboxOne and have watched a couple 4K movies. The sound quality is not good as there is a great deal of of sound vibration in the case. If I was willing to use a sound bar exclusively it probably wouldn't be a big issue, however I will be returning the unit and do some sound testing before i purchase the next TV. As a side note, not impressed at all with the SmartCast app, you can basically control everything from the app, but it would not be my first choice...

Vizio helps sell the better brands.

Vizio made a tv to sell...and I bought it. Better suited for a hotel or emergency room than a living room. One might have the expectation that a 2016 Vizio would be at least as good as a Sony I'm replacing from eight years ago. Not the case. This is my first and last experience with a Vizio. The picture quality is riddled with artifacts and overprocessed colors. There is also far too much white with no adjustments to balance that out so your whites blare and vividness is washed away. The sound is also dreadful. Low powered downfiring drivers sound as though they are playing from inside a plastic tube. Remote only powers on/off and does your volume and a few picture presets. Everything else requires you to find your phone and power up Vizio's proprietary app. There is no other option. This is the worst usability feature I've ever encountered. Certainly distinctive but for all the wrong reasons. This is NOT a smartTV. You can stream all sorts of things to it from phones and tablets but it does no processing on it's own. Meaning if you wanted to do something as simple as watch YouTube on your tv you must cast it from Vizio's app. It also has no coax input or internal tuner. Returning to Best Buy tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you saw in the store. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

Chromecast setup on Visio required too much personal information so I used Roku. My major beef was the refresh rate (I believe that's what it's called). Often when objects move quickly across the screen or when the camera pans across the scene the moving object is fragmented instead of a solid smooth flow. I only paid $349 for it during the holidays but I had to return it because I wasn't happy.

This was not my first Visio TV but it will likely be my last. I was looking for a low-cost upgrade to 4K and this model was not it. The phone link made for an hours-long setup process, all of the apps that I attempted to use made the connection fail, and the sound was lacking all around. A huge issue was with the scaling. Normal cable signals did not scale correctly. They were letterboxed in the middle of the display, or if Zoom was engaged, got cut off on all sides (even with manually scaling). Picture quality is terrible, the coloring is off and after about 3 hours of modifying the settings through the app, I realized that this was just the display itself. Returned after 2 days; bought a model from a better maker.

Each environment, or room, can cause a change to picture quality. This is one of hte many reasons VIZIO TV's have the ability to fine tune and adjust different pictures settings such as backlight and color. Any light source such as a lamp or sunlight can cause the quality to change. Our TV's have several preset modes such as Vivid and Standard that can be adjusted to personal preference for the best viewing experience. Individual devices can also vary in how they show picture quality. For example, set top boxes provided by Cable or Satellite providers also have a built in setting to adjust the picture ratio. Some set top boxes may default to showing black bars on the sides of the display which can be adjusted by changing the wide settings in the set top box. VIZIO

    Not a Real TV

This is not a smart TV. This is not even a dumb TV. As others have pointed out, this is simply a monitor. There is no TV tuner. There are no apps built in. The remote is little more than an on/off button. To set this monitor up you have to download an app to your phone. Then you have to try to connect your phone via bluetooth, which doesn't actually work. To connect, you have to hold your phone right up against a certain spot on the screen. It still doesn't connect, so you have to go a more convoluted route with WIFI. After all of that, the picture is not so great. It just isn't bright enough, and playing around with adjustments doesn't help. Older 1080p sets look a lot better.

Thank you for your feedback. We regularly push out updates to our SmartCast App to add support for additional devices and improve our customer experience. There are no built in applications, instead we utilize chromecast technology giving you access to thousands of cast enabled applications so you can watch what you want to watch when you want to watch it. As far as picture quality, there are a few things that might help you get the picture quality you would like, or that you saw in the store. I actually work as a sales associate for Best Buy, and this TV is just frustrating. Either I am really bad at setting up the smart features or Vizio's "smart" feature is not good.

Picture Quality can be difficult to pin down as there are many contributing factors. A few of these factors are source device and source content. An HD Set top box from a cable or satellite provider is going to have varying degrees of picture quality based on how it is connected. For instance a set top box connected with HDMI is going to provide a better resolution than using component cables due to the limitations of technology. Source Content can vary as well. Older content may not have been filmed in HD or Full HD so the picture won't look as crisp clean as 4K or 1080p content. If any further assistance or information is needed our award-winning U.S.-based customer support team can be reached at 877-878-4946 Monday thru Friday from 7am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm CST. I've had this TV less than 2 years and the screen started oscillating eventually leading into a 'burn hole' in the bottom of the screen. Something must have died on the board because it smelled like plastic burning. This was in a second home which gets very little use. It was 20 months old but had the use of a TV no more than 5 months old. I would never recommend a Vizio product based on this experience.

    2 Bad TVs

We purchased our 1st TV online for in-store pickup. Took it home in our SUV without incident, opened it and the screen was completely cracked. Took it back the same night, got some hassle to return it, but got a replacement. Checked it at the store for a cracked screen, all was good. Took it home, plugged it in, big white stripe down the right side indicating a component issue. Poor quality and terrible service at Best Buy store in Monroeville, PA made this a really bad customer experience. We'll be buying another brand from somewhere else. Most likely Amazon.

This Vizio TV does not have coax input port

This Vizio TV does not have coax input port, So you cannot use it as a regular TV. Your antenna, cable and direct TV cannot connect to this TV, through the regular coax cable. You can connect to this Vizio TV with HDMI, comp, USB or blue tooth. Also, the SmartCast App is erroneous. Leaving out the coax port is a cheap design. It is like you bought a big monitor without the benefit of video card connector. This is causing me agony. I bought a TV, that cannot be used as a TV.

This is a SmartCast Home Theater Display. To watch over the air programming customers would need to purchase an external tuner. The VIZIO SmartCast app is continuously being evaluated to add features and improve our customer experience. The SmartCast platform allows our customers to use a single mobile device to control multiple SmartCast devices including HDTV's, Home Theater Displays, Sound Bar's, and Speakers. VIZIO
