Off angle viewing is not good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Off angle viewing is washed out, even for small angle change from straight on. Picture is great with vibrant colors straight on, but move to the far end of couch and you can begin to see the color wash out. Forget about going further out...

Not even close to 11 year old Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was not looking for a new TV but my 11 year old Samsung suddenly died. I have a 10 year old Vizio I have been happy with so, after doing some research and reading about both, felt the 50" Vizio seemed like a good replacement for my 40" Samsung. The picture is not near as sharp, it does not have the side vision of my other 2 TVs and I have to frequently turn it off or unplug it to get rid of glitches. I have spoken to their customer service which has not helped either. If not for Covid and the fact at 70 yrs. old it would be difficult to return, I would have done so. Because of Covid I did not go to the store to look at the picture quality but relied on Vizio's website to judge picture quality and that was a mistake. Except for the fact I now have a smart TV, I am not very happy with my purchase.

Posted .At VIZIO we pride ourselves on our highly rated picture quality. Sites like CNet, RTings, and Reviewed.com consistently rate VIZIOs picture quality among the best in the industry. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the Vivid or Calibrated setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. If you’d like any assistance adjusting these settings, our customer support team would love to help you dial in the TV to your preference, you can reach them at 844-254-8087.

Great tv for the price. Getting ready for ps5
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m so far happy with the product. After a little internet searching for the perfect setting. Love the gaming pro engine. When I turn on my tv my PlayStation turns on as well. Has a built in chrome cast for my Vr oculus quest to stream. I did notice some black flashing but I fixed a setting and it seems to be fine. But I always get the warranty just in case.

Great picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best 50” 4K TV on the market right now! Highly recommend choosing this Vizio at a decent price too! Some may say this smart hub isn’t the best but I have no problems with it and I was used to the Samsung Smart Hub. Really easy to navigate through.

Home Flight Sim Display
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got two of these to use in a home Simulator flight deck. Setup was straight forward and easy. Spend a little more and get a sound bar. Even just a basic one will vastly improve the audio. The larger screen models have better brightness & slightly better picture quality but these give solid performance for what I'm doing.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an amazing TV. The picture quality is so crisp and clear. I mostly bought for gaming and was not disappointed. Only thing I wished it had was a voice control remote but the quality makes up for it. Love my Vizio TV.

Good tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it. I really love that it has other movie apps besides your regular cable service where you can watch more movies! The only thing I’m trying to figure out is why is the volume so low? I haven’t paired the cable remote volume to it yet. Maybe that plays a part who knows but eventually I will be calling my cable provider also.

not as good as the M8 or 2018 E
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just not as good as the 2018 Vizio E and the 2019 Vizio M8. Not as bright as the E and the HDR not as good as the E with that said still decent tv has very good blacks. Color volume is lacking a bit also cant compare with the the 2019 Vizio M8 in any way sad to say.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for my family. It is a fantastic display. Not bad
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent TV, I bought this strictly for my ps5 in my gaming room. Not as good quality as my Q series but it gets the job done. Audio isnt the best quality but I use my headset so this doesn't bother me. Just know if you are using this for watching tv, you'll need a soundbar of somekind.

Vizio TV
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THis is the first smart tv i've bought for myself. Of course, smart technology can be buggy sometimes and I have run into some issues with my tv closing out of apps like netflix, or having to restart my tv because an app or something on the app won't load. but over all the TV is pretty great!

Great 4K tv / wish it was listed as open box
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv was listed as brand new but came open box and re-taped with one of the feet missing. Currently waiting on the warranty replacement legs from vizio. Tv was unused and looks great when used and love how everything is easily connected via Bluetooth and wifi.

Great Mid Tier TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great choice for a mid level set, you get some gaming advantages with this one (HDMI 2.1) & the gaming tech Vizio just introduced although you don't get 120 frames on this one you'd need to step up to the new P Series.

Nice 50" 4K
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had some shipping issues, but once I got one delivered (and with all its parts), I am pretty pleased with its performance. Had one small glitch were it was not displaying the feed and I had to restart it but didn't dive deep into the cause.

Nah spend a little more on bigger size, maybe.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid 50in model unless you expect underrated/under powered features. Overall you have to feed this a good solid 4k hdr dolby vision feed to get best picture possible. Everything else looks ok when all enhancements are turned off. When the enhancements are turned on it seems to not keep up with quick scenes or fast moving scenes to still shot. Especially "noise" or static fuzz being taken care of partially at times. Even after setting up a picture profile some settings get reverted and every source seems to change it when you change it, so be prepared to menu dive a lot to keep as good a picture as possible. Adaptive backlight panels are not laid out for fine light grading, only 16 blocks, 8 left side 8 right side. This is the bottom of the mq7 series, sadly depending on screen size, you get more or less features even though they operate the same system. Seems like this ones running on a lighter engagement to try to produce good visuals. It's not bad for gaming just not very vivid and my screen at least had two problems with uniformity. One point, the foam holding the right side in shipping must've been squished in as there is a stripe where it pressed the screen in and now a 1in band up and down produces a darker shade of colors (similar to D.S.E.) Dirty screen effect on my tv **when I first got it** was pretty uniform, it was there but all over so it blended well. But at some point within the past month things got way worse. The active array I do believe has caused burn in/ghosting on left side lower middle zones (from "no input detected" message getting displayed from the TV magically turning on by itself *I've tried my best to keep all online features off so it wasn't "called" upon* for at least 6 hours before I woke up and found it on. The active array was on and only 4 panels were lit, and burned outlines within the pixels. Also because of the black bars in some films the bottom and top zones are off creating great contrasts but again it was enough to cause hazing D.S.E bars with full screen content. I could be wrong, but it lines up too easily where zones are and where the foam bumper was in packaging. And it turning on by itself. Considering only the foam pressing into it was the only issue at first{wasn't a deal breaker} now it's got such bad ghosting/DSE/un-uniform look after my 15day return period. Idk if Vizio will manage a good customer service on this I'll update it I get response. I've updated firmware too, it's gone through a few in the past 9 months already from what I've read. Audio can be a bit of a hiccup too. Good ground and power strip. No GLoop on this circuit. So that's not the issue. P.S. this thing wants to be connected to internet ALL THE TIME (viewing data is optional but causes problems and loops the decline feature messages, unless it's no longer optional) once its connected and you disconnect from either disabling your router or unplugging LAN an error comes up and switching inputs gives same message about network error and if problem persist FACTORY RESET.....WOW. It works, for the price I guess. But with these image problems AFTER watching content it no longer looks semi good enough. It's a VA panel too!!! (Screen burn or retention shouldn't be as easily susceptible on VAs)

Vizio Nightmare
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the new M-class Vizio to replace a previous model of Vizio. My other Vizio lasted over 10 years, so I had confidence I would have the same experience. After the TV was installed, I quickly noticed the input for cable, didn't allow for some of the picture settings to be changed, because they're locked/grayed out. So either you had really washed out color, or excessively bright colors such as burnt orange, instead of red. The room was so bright when a Target commercial aired, the room looked like it was on fire. The entire room was red. And I had to leave the room. I have used the calibrated settings but they're off, no matter what you do or can't do. Streaming can be calibrated but broadcast TV, you can not. The sport mode is awful, it's like watching a game with a blue filter over the screen. I have sport mode on another TV and it works with vibrant and saturated colors. In the Vizio, it's an underwater ocean view. You can't watch sports on this TV at all regardless of the settings because they're too pale or too bright. The angles are off for viewing. If you are not viewing the Vizio straight on, the colors will wash out and look blurry/pixelated. When the television decided to update, it froze while "checking for updates". I had to turn it off and reboot it. I contacted Vizio customer service. The rep wasn't aware of the new model of the TV. We went back and forth about it, until he was able to locate the model number. Anyway, I told him what was going on with the TV but I don't think he understood. And there were kids playing in the background. Maybe he's working from home because of Covid-19? After unplugging the TV and rebooting as I was instructed, he never told me what to do next. Apparently, the call was disconnected or he hung up. There was no call back either. So much for their customer service. While Vizio offers free TV for streaming on the free movies and TV app, some of the content is old and outdated. Movies from the 1990s or something along those lines. Content that old, should be free. If you are streaming, then this could work for someone. After speaking with the sales people at Best Buy, I have exchanged the TV for a Samsung. None of the sales people in the stores, would recommend this brand and I could see why.
