But to my dismay the up converting of the 1090i cable channels was awful. I also watched some 4k videos on Youtube where the picture was washed out and lifeless. I spent 2 days trying to tune an acceptable picture with no luck. I also tried several HDMI cables hoping to improve the picture quality. I have returned the TV.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD ( or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. We even tried a new cable box. Due to coronavirus we didn’t want a geek squad tech coming in to our home to fix the settings because we were told the visit would be 2 hours or more. With COVID cases rising, this isn’t feasible for our family and with one of us having a health problem to begin with. We don’t know what to do. Our older 5 year Vizio looks better than this one. I guess we realize now why tons of other customers were coming out with TVs by another brand. Lost, just lost and don’t know what to do. We hate to think we’re stuck with this tv now. Help!
