Nice colors but sides are fuzzy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great user friendly tv to get it start than almost impossible to find 4K up scaling in the menu. Now the colors are and it comes off as fuzzy at first but you get used to it.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 2020 tv, it comes with a lot of future proof features, and has a solid picture quality. The apps built in would crash once every now and then but this isn’t a big deal.

Vizio TV Review
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a great picture but I don't think it was very user friendly out of the box. I'd prefer some type of printed instructions rather than on screen prompts.

Perfect after a month of viewing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already owned a Vizio p65 Quantum for the living room which has been great. Bought this 50 inch model M for the bedroom. Specs weren't quite as good as the P series, but I was not disappointed. Great picture , almost as good as the P series. TV overall has performed flawlessly for a month now. Controls on the remote are different than the P series so it took me a little while to operate after being used to the P series remote.

Great 50" tv.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is great if you're looking for a 50" it's got a fantastic picture and lots of options . I realized after i had ordered it that my last prior tv had been a 60" so I wasnt satisfied with the size and exchanged it for a 65" . Best Buy has an amazing selection so I was able to get it in a larger size. Very happy with my purchase and the service I received. The 50" was on sale and offered free delivery. It is a win-win.

Great TV.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm surprised by all the lackluster reviews for this TV. The 50" has 16 local dimming zones. Full-array backlighting. Awesome color technology. A good and solid processor. The TV is a sleek design and the remote is pretty simple. Movies like Doctor Strange, Batman vs Superman, and any other 4K movie looks incredible. I think this TV also has Dolby Vision and Dolby ATMOS because when I hooked up my apple 4K TV, it seemed like it played content in Dolby Vision and Dolby ATMOS. I could check the specs but a lot of this technology is new to me and this latest TV purchase was a crash course in all the upgraded technology since I bought a TV several years ago. The home-apps may not have all the apps you want. But if you have an apple TV or amazon fire-stick, I think you can get any apps you want. I had bought a Samsung 7-Series before this TV. I was so disappointed that I bought this Vizio. The Samsung 7-Series has a better overall Star-rating, but this Vizio TV is way better. The full-array backlighting makes it better than the Samsung 8-Series (probably but I'm not an expert). Maybe it's just a Samsung or Vizio preference. Very unhappy with my Samsung 7-Series. That's all I know. I was really happy with the Vizio M-Series (Q7) TV. But it had some dark spots on the screen, and I decided to return it. The box was severely dented when it was delivered by UPS. Also, none of the UPS drivers wore masks and that made me very uncomfortable. Just wear a mask. But I am looking forward to the M-Series (Q8) and OLED hopefully coming in the Fall.

Great value for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a mid tier tv with a mid tier brand. You get decent viewing angles, blacks are adequate, color are surprisingly crisp. My one complaint is how the speakers are placed vertically behind the screen. It makes me and my GF turn up the volume to 50+ to hear it in bed 10 feet away. Otherwise great buy.

Awful Crackling/Popping Audio from HDMI Sources
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first and last Vizio I will ever buy. I will be returning it for another TV. This TV does have good picture, but the unbearable crackling/popping sound you get from HDMI sources make it unusable and I will be taking it back for another TV. Message boards like Reddit (where Vizio has an offical sub) are filled with complaints about this issue. The issue is there is crackling/popping sounds in low volume scenes. Basically, the TV turns off the speakers where there is no sound incoming, and turns them back on when there is. As a result, you get a crackling/popping noise at the beginning and end of audio. I will get in to more detail later in the review. And support is no help at all. They've said for more than 6 months now that they know about this issue and will fix it via a firmware update. But there has not been any response from them recently. I tried to report the issue, and was told that there is no issue and I should check my HDMI devices (even though none of them ever gave me sound issues on other TVs). So this makes me believe it is a hardware issue that they know they can't fix via a firmware update. Sound: 0/5 Sound is awful unless you just do streaming and don't use devices that are plugged via HDMI. Picture: 4/5 Picture is great for the money. I disabled local dimming because I felt it was doing more harm than good. Design: 3/5 There's a slight backward tilt to this TV if you are using the built-in stand and placing it on a dresser or stand, which makes it unleveled. Smart-Platform/Operating-System: 1/5 You will definitely need to get a Roku or Fire TV Stick for this device. The built in smart platform is missing apps like MLB. The interface is slow and clunky. Customer Support: 0/5 On the official Vizio support sub Reddit, Vizio Support said they know about the issue and want users to report it via their serial # and firmware version. I tried to do that with a live chat session and was told that there was no issue with the firmware. Vizio needs to really take their quality control more seriously Overall: 0/5 I rather not buy a TV where I have to buy more devices like a Soundbar and a Fire TV Stick right from the start to fix Vizio's lack of quality control. More details about the sound issue: I'll post more details about the sound issues here because Vizio might take a negative review more seriously. You will notice this issues the most on video game menu sound effects (assuming there is no background music). When you going through menu items that have sound effects, you will hear crackling before and after the sound. In really quiet movie/TV show scenes, you will get crackling before and after a character talks. Or just about any other time there is no sound from the source and then there is. If you are connecting a Windows 10 computer to the TV via HDMI, and use the on-screen keyboard to type, you will hear the crackling before/after the keystrokes sound effects. You get the same issue when watching quiet scenes in videos as well. On my video game systems like the Xbox 360, I was getting the issue as well. But I was able to sort of fix it by changing the 360's audio settings from Dolby Stereo to Dolby 5.1 even though I am not actually using surround sound. This affects sound quality as well (using surround sound settings when you don't actually have surround sound), but it's better than the crackling I guess. So in conclusion, it seems like this TV hates stereo input audio that comes from HDMI sources. It doesn't know how to handle it. The TV seems to turnoff it's speakers when there is no sound incoming, and turns it back on where there is sound. This causes crackling/popping. Some people said a fix is to buy a soundbar, but I'm not sure I want to do that for a new TV since this Vizio will need a Fire TV Stick or Roku Stick since the built-in smart platform is awful. That is turning a 450 dollar TV into a 700 TV if you add the extra devices you will need. That is why I just plan to buy another TV. I'm not the only one with this issue. Message boards and reviews are filled with this complaint. Everyone has this issue with this model and HDMI audio. Vizio has yet to push out a firmware update regarding this issue, so it's likely a hardware issue with this line of product. I'd definitely pass on this TV if you are using HDMI devices.
