It took it a while to update when I connected it to wifi. Doesn't sit straight - leans forward. Had to place something under the front of the legs to get it straight.

When I finally got it, it wasn’t the model that I ordered.

Would not buy again

Setting up was a nightmare if you have cable tv as well as streaming stations. We had technical support working on it from our cable provider, Vizio & then Best Buy. Inconvenient to switch to cable from smart apps. Our Samsung is so much easier to use but Best Buy would not allow an exchange because we were at 29 days instead of their steadfast rule of 15 days. We will re evaluate our purchasing from Best Buy for our other devices that we have bought from BB.

Not bad if it work properly

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was awesome the first couple months now every so often it shuts off and comes back on and screen turns black and turned on my xbox and the screen went green called visio and they gave me the run around telling me that they have a update coming out that suppose to fix all of this but aint came out in my area yet so i have to wait before they will do anything about it

You then will want to access the TV's menu and then select User Manual. Alternatively, the manual can be accessed by going to support.VIZIO.com and searching for the model number M50Q7-J01. There on the Model Information page you will be able to view and download the manual. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the Vivid or Calibrated setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. You'll be disappointed

My experience? I'm disappointed! The worst problem is text on the screen. It's not sharp and there doesn't seem to be a way to improve it. On my 15-year-old LG TV the program menu text was large and clear. On this new TV it's small and blurry. It sucks!

A complete package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My household uses both Airplay/Home Kit and Chromecast for my media and smart home device controls. My favorite overall thing about this Vizio TV is that it is compatible with both seamlessly. I can cast whatever I want, and it is fast and fluid especially compared with the standalone Chromecast I used on the TV this is replacing. Everything looks crisp and clean, colors are super accurate, the HDR is top notch, and it is easy to use. When I am done, I can use the pulldown menu on my iPhone to turn off the TV or change inputs. It is a wonderful blend of two different architectures compared with some other devices I have used in the past. This TV has plentiful inputs, and eARC on 1 of the 4 HDMI ports which I use with my soundbar for even easier control and better sound. I appreciate the very small bezels on the top and sides making it look much sleeker than other screens I have had as well. It is thick and the back panel is plastic, but I believe the thickness is due to the full array local dimming feature, so I am more than willing to let it slide for that. Right out of the box it required many updates after completing initial setup, but once it was up and running it is fast and smooth. Color accuracy to my eye is superb with almost no adjustments necessary. There is no judder or soap opera effect that I have seen while watching movies and shows which is wonderful. My unit has no dead pixels or light bleed and blooming issues in a dark room, so the build quality gets a passing score as well. The remote is simple and concise and that is for the best as it is very user friendly. I have always preferred to go with whatever I perceive to be the best top of the line TV screen I can afford whenever I buy one, so this one being more of a mid-tier set made me a little nervous that I would not appreciate it as much as my other TVs that were much more expensive. I am pleased that I was wrong about that and surprised to say that it holds up very positively around my other screens in the house. It is a beautiful screen with a lot to offer and is comparatively affordable especially with its feature set in mind. I highly recommend it.

Funny how Vizio started off as a budget tv brand and now they are charging premium brand like prices!!

Get what you pay for

I had thought the picture quality would be better but it’s on par with my 10 year old Samsung. Spend the extra money on a better TV!

Decent tv ruined by buggy software

Great TV

This Tv comes loaded with different programs and apps to use for example its compatible with several virtual assistant like Alexa, Google Apple Airplay.It has a built-in Chromecast for easy casting with any mobile device or computer.The picture quality is beyond amazing. It has several options for room settings which allows you to customize the tv according to the room enviroment. It come with a good amount of apps already installed ( Netfilx, HULU, Disney Plus) and the best part it has FREE channels already installed and ready to enjoy. The 4K resolution is amazing for those who enjoy playing games and watching movies. The remote control has a voice command feature. Overall is a great TV a bit pricey in my opinion.

Bad customer service

The package did not look damaged in delivery so we assume it was just defective. I could not return it online so I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get them to exchange it for a new one. They did agree to send a UPS pick up ticket which they did. However they would not exchange it and now the tv is $50 more.

antenna connecter does not work

I can't watch television. I can only use the smart TV features. one year manufacture warranty expired.
