I bought this Vizio to replace an old Sony that was much too heavy to hang on the wall in my new home. I feel I made an excellent choice. Great clear crisp HD picture and true to life sound, not tinny or mechanical. Easy to mount, easy to use controls, just the right number of input ports.

We got a bang for our buck! After looking for about 45 minutes for the perfect tv, looking at the quality, Vizio out did themselves! This was one of the cheaper TVs for 50” and it had everything other 500 dollar TVs had! Definitely will be keeping up with Vizio in the future!

This is the 4th Vizio TV that we have added to our home. Picture quality for the price is really unmatched. There are endless apps, and quick easy access to the ones you use every day.
We are a Hulu Live, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Diseny+ home. Streaming quality is excellent, but we also shell out for the fastest internet that our local cable provider offers.
This only got 4 stars because the first one we bought had a broken screen, which Best Buy replaced immediately no questions asked, and that the software upgrade on this model was creating some issues for the Vizio Tech staff. We owned the TV for about a week until they automatically pushed down a new upgrade. That first week we had no access to Smartcast which was annoying.
Since then this TV has lived up to the great quality that we have experienced with all of our other purchases.

TV has a great picture and is easy to use once it is all set up. Right out of the box it goes through many updates which takes so long you wonder if there is something wrong. Persistence and patience pay off as once that part is done youre good to go.

This Vizio TV is great! Good picture and color, lots of options. With the on-screen prompts, it was very easy to set up and pair with the remote. This is our second Vizio TV (another room), and we’ve been pleased with both, as well as the Vizio sound bar with this TV.

Good picture. Quick and easy to set up and connect to Roku and Alexa. The sound quality.....meh....I am going to get a sound bar for sure. That's the only thing that is keeping it from 5 stars. Otherwise, it's a good TV for the money.

I've bought this when I was force to start working from home. While it might seem odd to buy a large TV for a monitor, but most PCs have ways to connect via HDMI now and many support 4k resolution. I was going to have to use my Surface Pro 4 to try to work and needed to have more screen than what the tablet offers. Initially I was going to expand my desktop to the TV. In theory, this sounding good. In practice, it wasn't, but because of the hobbled together work area I had to use. That said, this TV still worked pretty well. Instead of having multiple physical monitors, I just used the snap feature in Windows and had four 24-ish inch windows to work in the different programs at once and not actually use the Surface's screen. I only have three things I need to have open, but the fourth spot comes in handy to have email or web meeting open. Now that I have it setup at home connected to my desktop, I still use it as a computer monitor albeit connect to HDMI 3. More on that in a bit.
While this works well as a monitor, I did buy a 4k TV so it should have continued use as an actual TV. As a TV, this this is extremely frustrating. First, the TV does have Chromecast built-in, but it does not support 4k from all apps. The one app you would think would display in 4k with HDR support, Google Play Movies & TV, absolutely does not. I have no idea why you can't cast 4k content from the app directly to the TV, but it refuses to go beyond 1080p. If you cast from the Vudu app, it will play your 4k HDR content via Chromecast without much issue. Maybe it's because of the Vudu app built into the TV, but I doubt it. Also, trying to use the remote to control the apps not is fun to say the least. And on top of that, my Harmony hub cannot switch out of the "Smartcast" input, which is the "input" for the apps and built-in Chromecast, unless I program one of the buttons on the remote to be the Input button and toggle to one of the HDMI inputs.
As for the HDMI ports themselves, only two of the three seem to support HDCP, so you can only connect two sources that require it to display 4k HDR unless you have a A/V receiver that supports it, then you presumably could use the receiver as a switch and connect however many devices it supports. I do not have one yet; I'm still using an older one. So I just connected my Xbox One and Chromecast Ultra (so I don't have to use the deprecated one built into the TV) to the two HDMI ports that support HDCP and have my receiver to the third HDMI port so I can still have my computer and Nintendo Switch connected via HDMI. Do note, HDMI 3 does support 4k resolution (and apparently my receive will pass-through 4k), it just doesn't support copy protected content in 4k. So if you're in a similar situation as me, HDMI 3 is the best input for a computer.
Now for the sound. It completely baffles me how I'm getting sound sent to the receiver. It is connected to HDMI 3, but that isn't the one labelled as "ARC." So, I have an optical cable connected to the receiver. However, if I turn off ARC, it also seems to turn off the optical output on the TV. Given the ARC control issues isn't present when connected to HDMI 3 where if you turn off the TV so you could switch to an audio-only source the TV turns off the receiver,

Replacing a 9 year old Vizio that had served its purpose well and without issue. Stepped up to newer technology and a little larger screen. Easy to setup both physically and tech wise, intuitive controls and compact design. Would certainly buy again.

Great price for the tv, but the remote didn't come with voice control which for me has become a necessity when buying a tv. I just ended up purchasing an upgraded remote. Other than that, the quality is just great.

My old Not So Smart television finally burned out and so I went out to Best Buy and one of the sales reps helped me find the best television for my budget. What sold me on this Vizio smart TV was the full array backlight (vs. edge-lit) that brings out more depth in darker scenes.
The picture quality is amazing and the screen fits nicely in my IKEA entertainment center and fills up my living room like a movie screen. Sound quality took a little tweaking of the settings to get to my liking and I'm considering a sound bar for more of a cinematic experience.
Vizio's SMARTCAST offers all the subscription services such as Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, along with dozens of other apps. Setting it up with my Comcast cable and wi-fi was a breeze.
I've had the television a little over a month and so far I'm happy with my purchase. It feels as if for $300 I got a $1000 TV.

I absolutely love my tv, very lightweight and easy to set up. The only issue is I can’t figure out why my music cuts off randomly and the screen goes black when connected to my phone. Other than that the picture is great and I love it.

Great picture and plenty of free apps to enjoy programs from. The sound is average, you'd do well to invest in a soundbar. The remote can be touchy for big fingers, it's easy to push the wrong button.

As I started to unpack Vizeo from the designated area in going to place it in I thought about all the extras I needed to go gather to make another purchase just to set this luxury behind me so I won't get discourged from yelling at myself for wanting something that was and was not a need. Instead I said to myself then what good is it too call it a smart tv. And there and then Vizio took charge and made it so easy all that discomfort from thinking about the last flatscreen was about five years ago maybe a little more. From there too here made a big difference in what another countries technology can really make it so much less of a hassle. Where did we go wrong is the question and if not why save it for a rainy day? The time is now. Thanks Best Buy and Vizio
