Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the picture quality, ease of use, and price of the 50" Class V-Series LED 4K UHD SmartCast TV. Many appreciate the TV's setup and lightweight design, along with its vibrant colors and selection of apps. However, some users experienced issues with the SmartCast system, remote control functionality, and volume control. Overall, the positive feedback on picture quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments regarding specific features.

Do NOT buy this product!!!!!! I bought it and was really excited loved our old Vizio worked great was over 12 yrs old. So when I saw this TV I though great! Boy was I wrong TV doesn’t power on right away will take up to 1 hr after you try to turn on to finally come one! The people on TV are talking but words don’t match the mouth movement. The TV’s volume isn’t loud at all you have to turn up all the way to 100 just to hear it. I haven’t even had tv for a year it’s been 7 months since I got it, and the customer service at Vizio give you a line of garbage about “Oh it needs update.” I say “how do I update it?” The customer service rep says “it automatically updates when tv is off.” Hmmm….. I got know where there and bout 2 year geek squad but they don’t help either because they step in until after 1 year warranty with brand ends. So don’t buy this tv find s better one.

Bought this tv to replace my 24” vizio I had for 5+ years. I kept talking myself out of upgrading but I was able to get a ps5 on launch and I knew I had to stop wasting time and finally upgrade. The tv is great. Amazing picture and decent sound(sound bar is recommended though) and looks great when gaming on my ps5. It’s not a fancy high refresh rate monitor but it’s still a great tv for gaming.

It's been a few months and so far it's alright. I thought sticking with a brand I like would make the experience about the same or more would be fine but this time, it's less than it was before. I had a VIZIO TV with 1080p resolution and it was one of the best flat screen HD TV I purchased. So come this year and I finally had the opportunity to upgrade for a 4K HDTV and the best part it supports HDR10, HDR10+, and of course Dolby Vision. I got really excited getting this TV. I set it up and everything. Very easy since it has a step-by-step wizard menu for you to get everything up and running. Everything went well. Trying out the apps and playing my PS5 on it. However, there is one problem I have to endure. I get a washed out color problem when I view content in HDR10. As you can see the picture I posted, the actor's face has like a red rash and this happens when there's a red-to-orange coloring scene. I don't notice much when I play on my PS5 with games supporting HDR10 but with movies or a tv show, it's just downright terrible. I don't know if they gave me a used TV and slap it in a box and they show me it's brand new or that they gave me one of their demo'd versions they have when it's on the floor at one of their stores. Either way, like I said, HDR10 on this TV is really, really bad. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are fine but when most, if not all the content are only supported with HDR10 and no option to force it on Dolby Vision display, you're stuck with an open-source technology that is HDR10. I've tried everything I could with the settings but to no fix. I wish Dolby Vision is the norm right now but have to deal with HDR10 if DV isn't available. Other than that, it runs fine, the apps run fine, every other feature works for me. This 50 inch size is perfect for anyone who doesn't have a big family at the very least. Way perfect for only one person. As I also use it for computer and play video games as well. Oh and the built-in stereo sound is terrible. There's crackling when the sound goes loud, when there's booming part from a movie. For example, like explosions. It's like there's little rocks inside jumbling around. Which is unfortunate to force myself to buy a decent sound bar. Other than that, this VIZIO brand 50 inch 4K UHD TV is alright but I recommend you getting a better newer model. Squeeze in a few hundred dollars and you're probably good to go for the latest features on your entertainment enjoyment and convenience.

Gorgeous picture, color and sound for the price. I still can’t believe how inexpensive this tv was for the amazing quality. Great size and very light and easy to set up. If you’re looking for a larger tv that has excellent features and quality, but won’t break the bank, then this is the perfect one for you. Highly recommend this product.

I was looking to purchase a TV for my living room with 4K and smart cast .. I love this TV it even has screen mirroring which is awesome, the colors look amazing very vibrant and rich I also like the fact that it is nice and slim and light weight very easy to set up. I also purchased the Vizio home theater(sound-bar w subwoofer) which connected very quick and easy.. I’m about to purchase another one for my bedroom. This was definitely a great buy.

It’s ok, you can’t download any apps on it. It has all the apps I use except one. You should be able to download any app on a smart tv. All the apps are preset in the TV don’t like that all. Picture quality is good but I wouldn’t recommend.

Hello MariaS, this TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google's Chromecast, Apple's AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. If you’d like any help taking advantage of all the options VIZIO has to enjoy your content, our customer service team would be happy to speak with you at 844-254-8087. VIZIO

I like this TV but I really wanted to love it. The colors are not the best, even after switching in between the different view options. I ended up keeping the gamer option. I’m still trying to learn how to work around the multiple features. My mom kept this TV but she wishes that channels appeared way bigger. I wish, that like cell phones do, we could increase the size of the font. See picture.
