It came down to either the Vizio or another well known brand. I asked the Best Buy staff about their opinion and was told about greater reliability and performance from this product. Overall, they have been correct and I have had great results from this Vizio TV.

The only drawback is the lack of options to add any additional applications. You cannot cast and control everything from you mobile/ipad. That defeats the whole purpose of a tv. The usb port also does not support m3u playlists as well. Overall its average for the price its positioned at.

Posted .Hello Blueblood, the SmartCast input does have a number of built in applications and we are continuously evaluating new applications for possible addition to this input. In the mean time you should be able to cast any of the thousands or Chromecast enabled applications to the TV from any mobile device on your network. You should also be able to download the VIZIO SmartCast application and control any aspect of your television. If this is not working for you please give our customer service a call at 877-878-4946 so that we can assist you with getting this set up.
