Be sure to compare to the TCL 6 series which is less expensive, has more dimming zones (96 vs. 56) and has a better smart TV system (ROKU)....hmmm...maybe I should have purchased the TCL....

You 100% will need to buy a sound bar unless you are in a tiny room. But that is on par with almost every TV made today. Focus is on the picture and Smart TV capabilities, not sound.

With respect, I waited until an opportune time. When on weekend we had family stay and when they left we discovered the TV in spare bedroom had a broken screen. I was happy to find this Vizio brand. It has it all.

I don't like the picture quality changes at different viewing angles and the sound is weak from the tv speakers. Needs a separate sound source to enjoy. For the money this is a decent tv.

First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

This replaced a 7 year old Toshiba 1080p and picture is not as good. Also have a 39 inch Insignia with better picture quality.

It took a bit to get the sound adjusted correctly I had to hunt for where to set it. Not sure the picture is as clear as the old one that I had. I wouldn't get it from Best Buy again because the returns policy is so poor. Other thAn that it is a good TV
