The built-in "Smart" functions have a collective IQ of around 80. The last two times I have purchased a TV/monitor from Best Buy I have regretted it soon there after. There's always a catch...

Posted .Hello Triprack, this model does have a tuner it is located in the input section of the television that faces down. The Smart feature on this television refers to the fact that the television is connected to your network allowing you to connect to the built in applications but also giving you the ability to cast any of the Chromecast enabled applications to the television from any mobile device connected to your network.
