Smart cast is awful

Posted .Thanks for the feedback. We've recently released an update for this model that adds an on-screen menu and remote functionality. The update will download automatically once your display connects to the internet, or you can visit https://support.vizio.com/s/article/ka51a0000008R7NAAU/Firmware-Information-243?language=en_US and manually update the display using a USB drive. Once the display is updated you can use any VIZIO remote with a menu button, as well as most universal remotes. Posted .Thank you for your feedback. This model has several HDMI inputs available, so a product like an Apple TV will work. You simply need to connect the product and verify the TV is set to the correct HDMI input. If you need to connect an antenna you will need an external tuner. These can be purchased at most major retailers for a wide array of pricing options.

I had it for about a week watch regular cable from spectrum. Didn't really get to view that much 4k content. Did manage play on my ps4. But after heavy consideration I decided to exchange to something more high grade. Maybe I didn't adjust the settings well enough but regardless I never turn back

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. To better serve users who prefer a more traditional app experience, SmartCast TV is now starting to roll out to our SmartCast Home Theater Displays. SmartCast TV makes apps accessible directly from the display as well as adding multimedia functionality to the USB port. This update will download automatically to your display if it’s connected to the internet and let you know with an onscreen message when it’s downloaded. Once the update has been downloaded simply press the ‘Input’ button on your VIZIO remote control, and choose the input labeled ‘SmartCast’.
