Not impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv and was very disappointed at the quality of the picture. Black item on tv was burly and gray. Don't waste your money!!! The only reason I did not rate this 1 star is because the smart cast app that you can download was actually very good and makes casting images on the tv a breeze.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our product. Picture quality, especially black levels, can vary depending on the source content, and the environment the display is being used in. If you black levels are appearing 'Grey' try using the 'Calibrated Dark' picture setting in your display. This will give you better dark color performance. If you have any other questions about picture quality, we'd be happy to chat with you on VIZIO.com, or talk to you over the phone at 877-878-4946 – we’re here Monday thru Friday from 7am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm CST.

Posted .Thanks for reviewing our product. Picture quality can be impacted by several factors including the content you're watching, personal preference and even the lighting the room is used in. If you're not satisfied with the picture quality, we would recommend a few things. First, make sure you're watching content that supports a higher resolution to get the most out of your picture quality. It's also a good idea to take a look at the picture settings to adjust for preference and lighting of the room. Settings such as the back light, color, contrast and others can have an impact on performance based on these factors.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

Buyer Beware!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought TV with high hopes! I love Vizio; however, this model may be a tad too cheap! On day 29, half of the TV was dark (LED backlight not working) Best buy's default return policy is 14 days, and were unable to do anything to help. Called Vizio and they said this is a common issue with this tv and are rolling out a firmware update in a week or two. This sounds great and all, but they are unwilling to do anything else until they finish creating this update (which -- hopefully will fix the issue, even though my problem sounds like a hardware issue, not software) In the meantime, I'm still stuck in hand with a broken TV. I suggest using your 400-500 dollars elsewhere. Either get a better Vizio TV or get a different brand.

Clear but not 4K picture quality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very clear TV with good motion rate but it does not have the picture quality that a lot of other 4k's have. We took it back the day after and bought another 4K that was in the same price range but the competitors picture quality was substantially better.

Ok tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly thought the clarity would be a lot better

Posted .Picture quality is highly dependent upon the environment or room the display is located in. Some of the factors that affect picture quality are ambient lighting, such as lamps and sunlight, and personal preference can make a big difference. This is why we include several preset picture modes that are fully customizable through the SmartCast Application.

Decent, not a clear picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv was fine. The picture was not clear, it really didn't look hd, even with the 4kcable and HD box. Felt like it wasn't a step up from my 6 year old tv. Also smart cast you need to have the app on your phone in order for it to play on tv? That annoyed me

You can use any smart phone, tablet, or computer connected to the network and open a cast capable application to cast.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Television was good, however not even three years after having it the picture keeps shutting off. Not sure if VIZO will even help, I’ll have to check the warranty on it. Not too happy..

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. To better serve users who prefer a more traditional app experience, SmartCast TV is now starting to roll out to our SmartCast Home Theater Displays. SmartCast TV makes apps accessible directly from the display as well as adding multimedia functionality to the USB port. This update will download automatically to your display if it’s connected to the internet and let you know with an onscreen message when it’s downloaded. Once the update has been downloaded simply press the ‘Input’ button on your VIZIO remote control, and choose the input labeled ‘SmartCast’.

TV only lasted 2 years!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased a Vizio 55 inch TV in spring 2017. We had a difficult time getting it set up and Vizio customer service was not helpful. Fast forward about 18 months and we started having issues with the screen going black, no picture only sound. We tried some tips from the internet on how to get the picture to show, which worked, but only lasted 6 months. In spring 2019 the picture went black and we learned it would cost more to fix than what we spent on the TV. Very disappointed!

TV will not sync with Cable box...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV will not sync with Cable box, have to shut down both and then restart the cable box for the TV to sync. I get the audio from the cable box but the screen is black. Very frustrating!!

Posted .Thanks for your feedback. If you're not receiving a picture but are receiving audio, we'd want to rule out the possibility of an external audio device such as a sound bar. Make sure your display is on the corresponding input that you connected your cable box to. Example: If you connected the cable box to the "HDMI 1" input please press the input button on the VIZIO remote and select "HDMI 1". If you have already verified this is accurate then this is something we'd like to take a look at. Please contact our award-winning U.S.-based customer support team at 877-878-4946 Monday thru Friday from 7am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm CST. We also have Chat and E-mail support on support.vizio.com if you would prefer.

Frustrating t.v.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The included remote has limited use - you are expected to use your smartphone as a remote. Frustrating for those of us who are not tech savy.

Posted .Sorry to hear that you found the SmartCast app frustrating. We appreciate that feedback and are consistently working to update our application and user interface to make it simpler and add additional features The basic IR remote included with the Display will control common functions like volume, power, and changing inputs.

Had it 22 days and it won't turn on...DO NOT BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV thru Best Buy and picked it up the next day. I have had it for 22 days now and it will not turn on. We have had no power surges and it was working fine 90 minutes prior. When the power button is hit, the LED lights up and fades off. Called Best Buy and they were unwilling to help due to their "15 day Return Policy". Called VIZIO and now have to wait 3 or 4 days for a technician to repair a brand new TV. The lemon law should cover high priced electronics because this is junk.

2 month lifespan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV and in a little more than 2 months the display no longer works. There is a small line in the middle and the lower section mirrors the top section, so it is essentially useless. I have contacted Vizio support, but somehow my call did not generate a case number. I am just overall disappointed in the quality of this product. It was also recommended by someone at the Best Buy store so my trust in their staff is depleted as well.
