Not worth the money

Terrible

Great 4K Tv

The picture on this TV is fantstic. Setting up the SmartCast was easy and makes sense as we are on our phones all the time anyway. The only thing I don't like are the feet that the tv sits on, they look kind of cheap. But for $469 I think it's a really great bargain. In my opinion the resolution of this TV is better than the LG I returned. Crystal clear!

Vizio Wins Again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all BestBuy.com stated this tv was not available in store but several were for Black Friday. Don't pass this tv up! The value is well worth it. My store had an open box vizio that was more than this tv new. I am happy with the picture and the ease of casting from YouTube. It does come with a basic remote but honestly I have yet to put in the batteries. The vizio app is intuitive. Thank for Vizio for producing a tv that is value driven but still 4K and a beautiful picture.

Nice Display

My son is a big time geek and recently bought a new display, I know that he researches to the Nth degree so I called him for a recommendation and he immediately said Vizio E series. Shopped and bought the E55-E2 from Bestbuy. Setup was very easy, wi-fi and bluetooth connected without any problem. My only disappointment is that smartcast does not have a Youtube app which my son's does. In online chat with Vizio they said that Youtube app is in the works for a future upgrade, I hope it is soon.. The instructions are in microprint and light so get a magnifying glass.

Great 4K TV; Not So Smart

Luckily I didn't buy this tv for the 'smart tv' feature because the chrome cast hasn't worked since the day after I bought it. I have tried everything through the Vizio support center to get chrome cast to work but just gave up and bought an amazon fire tv. I am completely disappointed in the 'smart' features but I love everything else about this tv. It has awesome picture quality, sound quality, and I feel it is simple to use. All in all, I am happy with this purchase... just won't buy something specifically for smart cast/chrome cast (junk)

Decent picture quality

Unboxing was simple there are 4 tabs to remove on the box allowing you to lift it off of the set. Setup could not be easier just attach the 2 legs using the supplied screws set on your stand attach your connections and go, from start to finish 15 minutes tops. Then things get tricky, unlike the more expensive sets from Vizo this Monitor and that's what it is a monitor for it has no built in tv tuner, uses what Vizo calls chromecast.. This app is downloaded onto either your tablet or phone, these have to be either an Apple product or Android no Windows products need to apply, You get it from either Google play or Apple store. Downloading was simple only took a minute or so. Now Vizo recommends that you "pair your device with your monitor via Bluetooth." I have Bluetooth on all 3 devices I tried to use. And not one was apparently the right "kind" of Bluetooth capable. It then said I must connect via my wi-fi. Ok it found that my provider was infinity by Comcast and asked if I had a Comcast account. I clicked yes at which point it asked for my account information ie: email and password. Each time I tried to enter this information it would kick me out, however, was finally able to get it completed. On to the next screen connecting to my wi-fi, having supplied my network password, it would attempt to connect and here is where it would fail. I could not get pass this screen. Having failed to connect with tablet number 1 on to tablet number 2 this one it could not tell that I had google locator services running and refused to work. Moving on to my phone same issues as before no connection to my network. This is not a big deal if 1. you don't care if you can access all the "smart" tv services or and this is the biggie want access to any of the "advanced controls" to the set which includes such things as color balance and brightness and contrast and sound. I have a soundbar and could not turn off the sets built in speakers. So buyer beware either try and see if you can get this app to work or be ready to contact customer service and see if they can walk you through the issue. As stated picture quality was ok I could find a preset setting that I could live with but the color balance was off a bit to the green side of things. On a side note, I ended up buying a LG product that did have a proper tuner and remote but I guess they feel we do not need or can not manage setting up basic settings because it too was preset only. which is odd since every computer monitor no matter how small or cheap has basic controls over the basic controls

Love My Vizio TV!

I would suggest anyone to buy this TV who loves watching movies, and that are vivid video gamers, i set up my PS4 Pro to this, and am totally amazed how awesome everything is now
