    Bought a 55 inch smart 4K tv several weeks ago and already have a problem with the picture. I actually bought 2 of these tabs. This is unaceptablr

    Needs a real Remote

    Biggest issue is that there is no remote menu. You need to use your phone for everything. The simplest explanation is imagine purchasing a very large computer monitor and the phone is your computer. I would recommend the previous version of this that does have a real remote and menu. The picture is very rich with deep colors and it does have plenty of HDMI inputs. It is also very light so over all its a good display but just fails with user input options. I tried to like this for a week, but ended up returning it and getting a LG, with a real remote and a real menu. I didn't give up on Vizio as I did but an older and smaller version for my bedroom. Yes it had a real remote.

    Two Months Later...

    We loved this television when we first purchased it. The picture was great, the audio was good, and it did everything we needed it to do. Three nights ago it turned itself off and will not turn back on. We've had it two months. We won't be purchasing another.

    Worst tv ever!

    Went to best buy to get a new tv! Decided on the vizio e55-e2 and took it home. It lasted five days and half of the screen was dark and the other half was okay. Took it back and got a replacement. Talked to wife and decided to get the warranty on it. The next day the tv did the same thing. Took it back. They did not have anything in the store that was close to what I wanted so I'm waiting on the money to hit the account to get somthing else. Do not buy! You have been warned.

    Good Display, Bad Computer

    I've had this for about 6 months. The first couple days, it worked fine, but after a week or two, it started running really slow. I ended up calling Geek Squad, who kind of blamed my WiFi (my phone was connecting fine) and told me to get an ethernet cable and connect directly to the router. This did nothing, and now we've got to the point where it says 'Smartcast is not available' every time I turn the TV on. I'm going to try and exchange it for another 4k tv, then just get something like Apple TV to use for streaming. The graphics are great, but the computer inside must be bad because it runs so slow and glitchy.

    I would not recommend this TV if you use Apple TV (because you can’t!), or if you use an indoor antennae. There is no plug-in for the antennae. You have to buy an $80 converter.

      Thank you for your feedback. This model has several HDMI inputs available, so a product like an Apple TV will work. You simply need to connect the product and verify the TV is set to the correct HDMI input. If you need to connect an antenna you will need an external tuner. These can be purchased at most major retailers for a wide array of pricing options. VIZIO

    My first 4k tv ever. Was trying to buy on the budget. You pretty much get what you paid for. I had it for about a week watch regular cable from spectrum. Didn't really get to view that much 4k content. Did manage play on my ps4. But after heavy consideration I decided to exchange to something more high grade. Maybe I didn't adjust the settings well enough but regardless I never turn back

    Bought TV with high hopes! I love Vizio; however, this model may be a tad too cheap! On day 29, half of the TV was dark (LED backlight not working) Best buy's default return policy is 14 days, and were unable to do anything to help. Called Vizio and they said this is a common issue with this tv and are rolling out a firmware update in a week or two. This sounds great and all, but they are unwilling to do anything else until they finish creating this update (which -- hopefully will fix the issue, even though my problem sounds like a hardware issue, not software) In the meantime, I'm still stuck in hand with a broken TV. I suggest using your 400-500 dollars elsewhere. Either get a better Vizio TV or get a different brand.

    Great tv. Didn't work for me because you don't have a remote , you work the tv with an app either your tablet or your gel. And simple didn't work for me that way

    You need internet to activate it or else it doesn't work you have to download their app and connect the tv to your phone and it also has no tuner

SmartCast TV makes apps accessible directly from the display as well as adding multimedia functionality to the USB port. This update will download automatically to your display if it’s connected to the internet and let you know with an onscreen message when it’s downloaded. Once the update has been downloaded simply press the ‘Input’ button on your VIZIO remote control, and choose the input labeled ‘SmartCast’. VIZIO

    We purchased a Vizio 55 inch TV in spring 2017. We had a difficult time getting it set up and Vizio customer service was not helpful. Fast forward about 18 months and we started having issues with the screen going black, no picture only sound. We tried some tips from the internet on how to get the picture to show, which worked, but only lasted 6 months. In spring 2019 the picture went black and we learned it would cost more to fix than what we spent on the TV. Very disappointed!

    Had it 22 days and it won't turn on...DO NOT BUY

    I purchased this TV thru Best Buy and picked it up the next day. I have had it for 22 days now and it will not turn on. We have had no power surges and it was working fine 90 minutes prior. When the power button is hit, the LED lights up and fades off. Called Best Buy and they were unwilling to help due to their "15 day Return Policy". Called VIZIO and now have to wait 3 or 4 days for a technician to repair a brand new TV. The lemon law should cover high priced electronics because this is junk.

    I bought this TV and in a little more than 2 months the display no longer works. There is a small line in the middle and the lower section mirrors the top section, so it is essentially useless. I have contacted Vizio support, but somehow my call did not generate a case number. I am just overall disappointed in the quality of this product. It was also recommended by someone at the Best Buy store so my trust in their staff is depleted as well.

    Terrible picture, no coax cable input and you have to use your phone. I was not happy with anything about this tv and it was my 3rd one in a 1 1/2 yrs. I exchanged it for a samsung which has a better picture, a true remote anf coax connection. None of this "Not a tv but a home thater display" crap. I believe vizio really needs to rethink their product.

    Do yourself a favor and only buy this product if you love headaches and wasting your phone's battery life. The picture is nothing to write home about. The sound quality is nothing special....Vizio has a lot to learn about making good products

    Please do not buy this piece of garbage. The Visio app disconnects everyday and you have to try to re connect it all over again like a d*ck. If you like wasting your life doing this then buy it. For me, I threw my cell phone into the tv screen..quite satisfying but very expensive! I couldn't use the words I really wanted on this review
