    Vizio Support is Garbage

    Purchased this TV, was happy and then 1 week later the feet broke. they bent under the weight of the TV, causing the TV to wobble. When calling Vizio they said that it had been too long since I purchased the TV (1WEEK!!!!) and that they would not replace the parts. They then said I should check Amazon. This company is building cheap products and has no interest in standing by their product. Do not support this company

    Great tv and a great price plus you get a tablet to use as a remote. Have had tv for a few weeks now and 4k looks great.

    Purchased this TV 3 weeks ago to replace our 13 yr old Vizio in the playroom for the kids that finally gave out. Then decided why not give them the 48" from our room and put the newer larger one in our room. It works ok, but the picture is poor. The color is very gray. We tried all the settings but can't get accurate colors. The sound is very poor. Sounds like an old transistor radio. Because I have some hearing loss I like to use close caption. Can't do that on this tv. This is the 4th Vizio we have purchased. Very disappointed in this Vizio product. I would return it but best buy has a 14 day return policy. So will be switching the tv's and putting our old one back in our room

    Don’t waste your money on vizio. As a previous owner, their screen dies within 2 years then tv is trash.go with the major reputable brands, Samsung, Sony, toshiba

    No way to watch videos from Amazon

    TV quality is good, but Smartcast is terrible. No way to watch anything from Amazon. Not intuitive to use. Now you have 2 remotes for your TV. Just over complicates something that worked fine in the M55-C2 models.

    Tablet Remote sucks, Upscaler sucks.

    I purchased this t.v. 12/16/16 and i will be returning 12/16/16. The tablet is a joke and will drive a person with extreme patience to go crazy. The upscaler is lacking, the picture is detailed but dull, no pop. Im bummed because i read all the good online reviews (rtings. com in particular) and this t.v. was praised for picture quality but i didnt see it. I will be taking it back to BB and exchanging for the samsung ku6300.

      Thanks for taking the time to review our product. Picture quality can vary depending on a few things. For the best picture quality make sure you've got an HD source device (Like a cable or satellite set top box) connected with an HDMI cable. The quality can also vary depending on the environment, like how much light is in a room. This display has a few pre set picture modes you can switch between, and using the SmartCast App you can individually adjust different picture settings like brightness, sharpness, and color. VIZIO

    The tablet remote is the worst gimmick ever

    I've had to reconnect the tablet remote via blue tooth to the TV, then reconnect the TV to the internet on a daily basis. The directions are horrible - pretty much useless. I don't know if it is the TV or the tablet remote, but, I'd never get a useless setup like this again. The picture and sound are great.

    Poor HDR support, Low contrast, bad dynamic color

    The Vizio M series is only 120Hz at sizes above 55 inches otherwise it is a 60Hz panel that fakes 120Hz. There is no support for Xbox One S HDR. UHD Blurays played with the One S consistently flicker, and other HDR content output from the Xbox One S does not display correctly. I spent over 6 weeks on the phone with Vizio support only for them to finally tell me that they are no longer offering HDR support for the Xbox. Vizio also claims this is a 10 bit panel, but independent reviews show it's poor dynamic color range. Don't be fooled by the Dolby Vision support, as the TV can read a DV signal, but it's not displaying a 12 bit color pallet.

    Buyers Beware!

    I heard a lot of good things about Vizio so I did a little research and decided to purchase this TV model M55-D0. I got it home and first thing the remote battery was ruptured, which in this case is a major blow as the remote is a mini android tablet. So back in the box it went. I exchanged it and got it home and set it up, it lasted 13 days and when turned on had two huge dark spots on the screen, I took it back and when the employee plugged in to check it out it shorted out. I have to tip my hat to Best Buy and it's Pueblo CO staff, they went above and beyond to insure my satisfaction. Very knowledgeable and so very nice.

    Great, while it lasted

    I bought this 13 months ago, came home turned it on and an entire quarter of the screen is now dark. Just it if warranty, so manufacture won't do anything. The LEDs went out in the backlight array. Do your research people, look at how many have this problem with this brand. While it worked the picture was great, until it wasn't.

    Vizio E550i-A0 TV broke after 2.5 years

    I would like to caution Vizio buyers. I bought a 55" VIzio in January 2014, and by September 2016, the left half of the screen displays vertical lines, while the right half displays the picture properly. I can't see any of the menu options, and I've rebooted it, as Vizio support suggested. Nothing is attached to the TV, except the antenna. Either the power board or the main board assembly has to be replaced -- an expensive fix for a TV that should last years.

    beware.....

    We were told by best buy staff that this tv is amazon prime compatible. IT IS NOT. We purchased this tv, installed, and within an hour after set up realized the mistake they made. We are hoping they will be able to provide accurate information when/if we buy a replacement tv. I won't hold my breath :(
