And once I paired this with my 45" Vizio Soundbar, it became a magical, game changing experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quantum dot, HDR 4K TV.

We use it in our bedroom ,it's so easy to cast from our phone. It has good color that pops but not to much. If you want 4k buy a LG C9 nothing comes close

Good mid-level TV with annoying drawbacks

Loses one star for TV turning on and off at times with the operation of my garage door. Loses a second star for having the TV default to the home screen after streaming - annoying that I cannot get it to default back to the cable input. Overall I am a bit disappointed and wish I had made a different selection.

In regards to the TV responding to your garage door opening, we'd really like the chance to gather a bit more information. Is your garage door IR? typically the TV only responds to an IR signal within line of sight. If you garage door works some other way (like through voice assistant, or through the internet) we'd like to see what we can do to potentially get this fixed. New tv

With the other streaming apps, it would play just fine. The color is great.

However, not so much this time. Set up was straight forward and everything worked at first. The biggest problem is that the TV keeps turning itself off at random times. Sometimes it turns back on, on its own but then goes through this whole Smartcast thing that I can't get out of. And, the TV now won't process different Audio Inputs even though the TV input is changed. So, the only thing that comes through the soundbar is just one input only. The TV then puts new audio through its speakers and you get two audios at the same time. And if that isn't annoying enough, the promised upscaling of the picture doesn't make a difference if you have recorded anything. Since BestBuy only has a 15 return/exchange policy, I'm sure I'll get push back in getting a new TV that actually works the way it's supposed to. For $500, I did expect more.

Posted .Hi muscman133. If the audio keeps coming from a device, even though the input on the TV has changed, this may mean that you've connected audio to the SB and video (separately) to the TV. You can resolve this, but connecting all your devices to the TV, and then connecting 1 cord from one of your TV's audio port to the soundbar. This way the audio from whichever input is selected will play on your sound bar. In regards to the TV not playing 'recorded' content- the TV doesn't really have any way to know or determine what content has been recorded vs being played live. It could be something going on with the recording device. We'd be happy to help troubleshoot this (and the SB problem you described) just visit Support.VIZIO.com and click on 'Contact Us'.

It is excellent picture AND the side/angle view is far superior to my Samsung (which was horrible).

Vibrant colors and SmartCast platform is easier to use than online reviews indicate. Not an issue to me personally. Like the 4 HDMI ports along with the USB port. Great purchase!

Great picture and interconnectablity with the other pieces of AV equipment. The only negative is the Smart portion. It’s a little weird to navigate around, but it works.

The picture quality is amazing. The speakers could be better but overall not bad. I suggest buying a sound bar to accompany this tv.

Easy to access smart tv features. Perfect sound with Visio sound bar. I would get another. Open-box buy was scary with final sell, but I have no regrets.

Going from a 19 inch cathode-ray tube TV to a 55 inch Vizio M-Series Quantum was incredible. (Still don't like to discard things that still work, but after 30 years, I guess it was time). The color and image quality are superb. Best thing is being able to watch videos from my iPad or Dell computer using Airplay or Chromecast, and accessing Netflix directly (rather than going through a second device). Easy to set-up. I have not purchased a separate soundbar yet, but likely will do this. The sound quality is good for most shows, but football is often muffled due to a bad balance between announcers and crowd noise (not VIZIO's fault), and the speakers are in the back of the TV (VIZIO's fault).
