    Red and greens lines, faulty

    I have occasional red or green lines appear while using the tv. For the price I bought it at I would not recommend this to anyone. If you get a big deal on it then it’s worth it. Vizio used to be my go to but once this burns out which seems like it will be soon, I will be switching to Samsung.

    So, its been a year since I bought this TV and I am very disappointed! It is starting to malfunction, it turns off and on about 10 times during a movie! I suspect bad circuitry. Will never trust Vizio brand again!

    Tv looked great in 4k and hd. The sd channels on dish looked bad.

    I have have purchased 2 Vizio TVs before this one and loved them. This tv was trouble from the start. It took an hour and a half just for the tv to update upon the initial set up. When I was finally able to use the tv the picture quality was terrible. Everything I watched looked grainy no matter if I was watching something in 4K, regular cable channels, or using the apps on the tv. I tried buying new 4K hdmi cables and it made no difference. There is also random flashing of the brightness of the screen. The home screen is freezing constantly. I don’t have wide viewing angles in my living room and the picture washes out even at small angles. One thing I can say that is good about this tv is that it doesn’t have a lot of glare. My model number is 558-g1. Maybe I just received a defective unit.

    I purchased 2 of these a little over a year now, and my chief complaint is the UI, as it often freezes. Boot up is also painfully slow at times. Updates are seriously lacking for this newer device. This will be my last Vizio product.

    The tv would just shut off when you were watching it and in 10-15 second later it would turn back on. Plus tv would just turn back on when you turned it off. All happen with the first two weeks.

    Picture is okay, calibrated to Rtings settings, but the tv itself constantly turns itself on even with CEC off, and no HDMI ports being used. Majorly disappointed.

    Keeps turning itself on after shutting down with either the AT&T UVerse or the TV remote. Had to unplug the set when not in use and wait for over two weeks for a replacement. Not good customer service.

    Great tv just wasn’t for us it was open box item ( usually good) but the internet connection kept dropping and would randomly shut off

    It kept turning on during the night even after several software fixes. I am glad I purchased it through Best Buy. They accepted my return without any hassle. Five stars to Best Buy.

    This TV has a problem with voice. I have to put the voice level to over 50 to hear properly. Other TVs, can hear properly when it is 15. I talked to the Vizio support technician and he said it is due to the channel I am watching or I might have a defective cable box. I replaced the cable box and called my service provider, Verizon, and tune up the service but TV voice is still the same. I wanted to return to BestBuy, but when I noticed that it was 31 days gone, it was 1 day over, so that I did not bring it in. thanks

    Amazingly gorgeous TV

    I don't review a lot, but I wanted to speak up for this TV which is just incredible for this price. It's a high-end TV for what an economy TV used to cost. The picture is comparable to a mid-range Samsung QLED that costs almost twice as much. It's super bright, the contrast is amazing, the blacks are super black, and the color is gorgeous. The sound from built in speakers is decent -- you may be able to get by without a sound bar though it would definitely be an upgrade. The smart TV functions work well but the interface is clunky and the remote is not well designed. So we basically just use our Roku with volume control and ignore the Vizio interface and Vizio remote. But others might like the smartphone cast functions. I was also very happy with Best Buy's service. They delivered exactly when they promised and communicated very well. The delivery guy carried the TV to the basement den. And when the price on this TV dropped within the return window, the Best Buy customer service refunded me the difference very smoothly. So good job Vizio, good job Best Buy, you have a happy customer here.
