Posted .Hi IslandRat1782. Thanks for the feedback- we'd love to hear specifically what you found difficult to do. To access apps- you can simply press the 'Home Key' on the VIZIO remote- or use one of the 'Quick Keys' at the top of the remote- apps like Netflix and Amazon have a specific button with the app name on them that will automatically launch the app with 1 press.

Cannot disable wireless

This is a no go for me, as we prefer a wired connection for better 4k streaming. Please build into this OS the ability to disable the wireless adapter and we will reconsider purchasing a Vizio television.

Not Great

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture was so-so, Apps notchy + would inexplicably shut down, and switching to cable/broadcast (coax) is a PITA - have to click the input button then scroll & time it just right to get to it. Take too long (over about 2 seconds) & it chooses whatever is highlighted. I returned it after about 10 days & will stick with my old Sharp for a while longer.

Don’t waste your money!!

I chose this tv,because in the store,the picture was so clear and the colors were so vibrant and beautiful.But at home looked completely different..washed out colors and just horrible.Don’t waste your money!!It’s not worth it!We ended up exchanging it for a Samsung QLED!So happy we did!

Excellent Picture Quality! Best TV for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Vizio M8 Quantum dot is an excellent TV and the best you can get for the money right now! Has excellent picture quality with amazing accurate colors, excellent black uniformity and deep blacks, and excellent 4K HDR picture. Originally, I went with an LG SK800 TV and it had horrible picture quality with mediocre black uniformity, blooming all across the screen (specially with subtitles on) and very bad picture quality (Don't get this TV, not even the new 2019 models are worth the price). I return it and got the Vizio M series Quantum Dot because of online reviews and I don't regret it! I love this TV. I found that the best picture quality is with the Calibrated Dark mode with backlight all the way to 100. Probably, the OS that Vizio use is the weakness of the TV compare to others, but I really like it. It's simple to use and it has chrome cast integrated so you can cast your show if they don't have the app and now with the upcoming update with support of Apple Air Play is only going to get better. Also, input lag for gaming is really low. If you are looking for an excellent mid range entry level TV you should get this one, period.

Good low budget tv

Only problems I’ve had are, the TV sometimes doesn’t turn on and I’ll have to unplug it or hit the power button several hundred times. The remote is kinda annoying. A lot of TVs have these issues though. It’s lasted me 4 solid years and I enjoy using it for gaming.

Really Bad Television

The apps keep crashing and TV keeps rebooting. There is an update that is required but its months away. I have had an earlier Vizio television that worked seamlessly and really well. This one's a bad apple. I will never buy this TV again.

You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. TV will turn on by itself.

Not a good picture

I was so disappointed in this tv I returned it and bought the Samsung 55 inch Q60 and couldn’t be happier with my choice to return and get a Samsung.

Getting even worse

Posted .Hi vmmi. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it's 'incompatbile with more up to date apps'. This TV comes with todays most popular Apps like Netflix, Vudu, Amazon prime, and others. It also supports HDR on those apps to give you the highest quality picture. We've rolled out updates to add Youtube TV, Disney+, and functions like AirPlay 2 and voice control through Apple, Google, adn Alexa devices. I'm not sure why you're audio is cutting out when you connect a Roku to it, that could be the TV or the Roku having a problem.
