I have had HDR sets in the past, but knew I wanted something with local dimming for better performance without paying the high price of OLED. This TV is perfect for the price, and a great step up from cheaper brands to get a more authentic 4K HDR experience. The built-in streaming platform, while I don't use it regularly, seems nice and snappy as well.

Had it for more than a year now. Good picture quality but hdmi connections wear out causing it not to register your equipment. Have to reset tv constantly to fix issues. Ui is horrible, tv is very slow. Quality control seems to be an issue with Vizio. Would not recommend the brand at all have had nothing but issues with the 2 Vizios I have.

We like the size of the TV. When you are looking straight at TV, its good. But when you look from the side of the TV it lightens up. We do not like the way the TV looks when you look at it from the side. When we sitting at out bar and look at the TV you look at the side and the TV color is lighter and we do not like that. Plus the sound. We are having to turn the TV up louder. Thank you. Rose Voyles

      Posted .

Hello Roroe, thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. All TVs do have an optimal viewing angle. This viewing angle is the angle off of center where the picture and color appears to change. To best help with viewing angles it is recommend to sit in the center of the TV or if wall mounted, use a wall mount that has a tilt feature. In regards to the TV's audio, as televisions continue to have larger screens with thinner profiles and sleeker bezels, there is less room for large speakers. To help get the best audio quality out of your VIZIO televisions speakers, we’ve included settings like DTS Studio Sound to provide the highest performance possible, while maintaining the thin, sleek, bezel-less profile of your television. If you’d like any help adjusting your audio settings feel free to contact VIZIO support at 844-254-8087. For top of the line audio performance, you may also look into purchasing a VIZIO Sound Bar, there are several models available with wireless subwoofers for enhanced bass, rear speakers for true surround sound, and our new line of Atmos Sound Bars. When upgrading from a dumb 1080 TV this thing is amazing! I love the built in chromecast! I love the picture quality! This TV has made family movie night a blast. I noticed some color issues --- or maybe I never noticed it from my other TV so I still need to see if I can play with that but OVERALL - Love the budget Love the TV

After comparing many brands of televisions we decided to try the Vizio Class M Series LED 4K UHD SmartCast in the 55" size. We are over the moon with the colors and clarity of the pictures and the ability to play Blu-Ray movies with the clarity of 4K, We would recommend this television to anyone (not just our friends).

Great value in a 4K TV

This is a terrific TV. I had issues with my Samsung, which cost about the same, watching some dark content - the old TV was TOO dark, making a lot of scenes hard to watch. This one is PLENTY bright, so that went away. The Dolby Vision is a feature I wanted, because the 4K content from Netflix and Amazon all use it. The Vizio V-Series doesn't support it, but this model does. Well worth the modest cost for the upgrade. The HDMI ARC connector integrates very nicely with my Sony surround sound receiver. After setup, I put away the remote for the receiver and never use it. My Roku and XBox are connected to the TV, and it switches the receiver when needed, and powers it on/off with the TV. Very happy with this TV. I rarely give ANYTHING more than 4 stars, because there is always something that makes it "not perfect," but I can't think of anything about this TV to justify taking off a star.

Entry level smart tv. Upgrading from 32” 20 year old Samsung with Rocky stick. Disappointed at color, sharpness, and smart cast feature. Had to keep resetting to factory setting and readjusting colors. Took back and got 55” TCL QLED with Roku tv.for $30 more and extremely happy with it.

I’ve really been impressed with this model. I bought the V series thinking it would be fine for high def gaming with my Xbox series X... it was really dull. So, I bought this model instead and the colors are really vibrant. It also keeps up with sports and regular streaming. I’ve really enjoyed it

The Best Budget 4K UHD TV available

This unit does have the very common "popping" issue with the in house speakers. But, I use a sound bar and using one eliminates that issue. Otherwise, this is the best budget 4k UHD TV for gaming on the market, it has excellent features that other TV's can't compete with at the same price.

Really clear, great color picture! We were very satisfied with our Visio 44" when we were in our previous home, and we expected (and got) the same high quality when we moved into a larger home. We opened a Best Buy credit account when we bought it because the terms were really easy on our finances!

This TV has a great picture and high resolution for gaming. We bought this for my son and he loves it. I thought it might be too big for his room at 55 inches, but it's perfect. The associate recommended it to us and he was right on with his description and explanation of the features and picture quality.
