Unreliable and defies modern standards
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best demonstration of the true blacks this tv is capable of rendering are best displayed in the frequent moments this tv is on and will not respond to any remote inputs. Every other day, I have to spend at least 15 min trying to get the tv to work properly — this tv’s operating system is nothing short of buggy, unreliable, and nearly unusable. The tv will frequently stop responding to inputs from the remote, except the power button; this leads me to sit next to the television trying to reset it manually, which barely works. Simple functions like cycling inputs using the remote simply stop working for no reason and take about 8-10 attempts to turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off the tv hoping the operating system starts working. Note: this is not a connectivity issue because I’ve had these issues regardless of whether I’ve connected the tv via Ethernet or wifi. While the price is certainly appealing I cannot recommend this tv for anyone looking to have an easy or reliable experience with an OLED tv. Find your next television from another company other than Vizio and their deplorable operating system.

Value King OLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing TV! The only competition are other OLEDs. Vizio has some growing pains with their first OLED TV but if you can find this on sale it really can't be beat. I'm confident that whatever can be fixed by updates will happen soon enough. Even the LG OLED with more mature software have unfixable gaming issues this year. So unless you want to wait another year you might as well pick this one up and be blown away by the value of this TV. The smartcast feature is really cool in my opinion. I'd recommend a protection plan just in case. OLED can be sensitive TVs especially if you accidentally forget it paused on a static screen or watch news, sports, television with static logos or elements.

Great TV for moms & grandmas
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mom loves the picture and ease of use. I loved the quick and easy setup for her - I also think the picture quality is awesome. Kids love the gaming action when they visit.

Vertigo
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is amazing. The first time I watched a 4K nature video it nearly took my breath away. It was an aerial shot of a Hawaii beach and I had to grab the arm of my chair to steady myself because I have a fear of heights and felt I might fall into the picture. (Honest that was really my reaction!) Thankfully, now that I am used to the extreme realistic picture I no longer get vertigo but no way am I going to watch the movie "“Cliffhanger”" on this TV!

Great picture but….
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture! But lasted me less than a month before a line formed straight down the middle of the screen. I was told it was likely a manufacturer defect but didn’t want to take the chance of going through hassle of returning it again, so got full refund.

Disappointed - Power Issues on Day 31
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hopeful for this set but, TLDR, I had to swap it out for an LG OLED. It was a great picture overall but then, on Day 31, something weird was happening where the picture wouldn’t come back on but the audio did. I did a power reset, a factory reset, and even unplugged the thing to try and troubleshoot it. The picture would come back when I did these things but when I turned it off and tried to turn it back on, all I got was sound again. If you look around the web, particularly Reddit, this is an issue that has been out there for months. Sorry but I can’t spend $1200+ and “hope” it’ll be fixed in a firmware update. Luckily, Best Buy was good enough to swap it out even though it was just outside the return window. My advice: spend the extra few hundred and get the LG CX/C1.

Good picture, faulty volume
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is good. For some reason sometimes when we turn it on the volume doesnt work, it is muted. The only way we can get it back is to unplug it, wait about 20 seconds and plug it back in.

Value OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros : Colors and brightness is superb compared to other OLEDS. Cons: some connection issues here and there. Vizio smart cast could be better and some issues with the vivid picture mode. Makes the screen randomly bloom in certain screens.

I love it
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s great for my first oled. I truly enjoy the design with the stand and all. The sound is good too. Haven’t really had any problems with it crashing. I’d say there’s a nice difference in image quality. There are a few things like ps3 games kind of have issues with the screen, and some all black screen scenes have the blockyness/patchy black screen look. But I’m guessing that has to do with how the tv is calibrated or something. Other than that, I’d recommend it.

Awful Product and Support
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv has an awesome and clear picture but lacks real bad in software or maybe i just have a defective unit. This tv will freeze all the time, not power on or the picture will go all blue. Ive contacted Vizio Support several times with no luck. Each time they have me factory reset the device and it works good for like an hour before the same issue arises. I will never buy a Vizio product again

Excellent picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was skeptical on spending over $1,000 on a 55”, but this TV did not disappoint. Picture quality is outstanding - much better than my previous Samsung LED and QLED TV’s. Menus and navigation is not the most intuitive, but thats a minor thing and everything works as intended. The cable covers on the back is a terrible design; the holes for the wall bracket screw are so close to the covers, that you can not take them on / off without removing the wall bracket completely. So you have to plug in and route wires, then mount the wall bracket, then hang the TV. Not great if your wires are already run in the wall. Anyway, awesome TV with amazing picture quality.

Sorta great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is awesome about 75% of the time. Gaming is great and so is watching Netflix. But when in HDR scenes will flicker if there's a lot of contrast in the scene. That and dark areas are sometimes crushed. I sort of want to keep it and see if these issues can be fixed but called vizio and they had no idea of the issue. I'll be returning it and probably get the Sony x900h.

A great value
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great TV for the price. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack-luster operating system. Isn't an issue though if you use Google tv, Roku, Firestick, etc. The TV panel itself is top notch.

Great OLED for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good price and while Vizio has to work on their black levels this TV isn't bad. First OLED for Vizio and it's good. Hopefully some updates and fix the black levels. New out the box it was fine and a update did something to the set.

Nice TV... I think!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice TV and great picture- if left on pause, the screen goes dark and you have to press any key on its remote to get the picture back. I guess it does that because of the OLED feature- not sure I like it though. Kind of a pain.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for the money, picture quality is incredible and ascetically pleasing design and frame! Only gripe is 4k gaming seems to be a bit buddy but hopefully this can be corrected through software upgrades!

Great picture, bad experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture but every week I've had it, it's had issues turning on. It just won't turn on until you unplug it and plug it back in. If you like doing that every week, this is the tv for you

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture great. Software sucks. The second day it was already having the dreaded power issues everyone has spoke about. Had to factory reset once in the first week. Spend some extra money and get something better!

OLAY OLED! = Great Vision With Visio 55"
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great vibrant color and sharpness and a variety of settings to customize unit for one's setting and supportive equipment. I like the ability to name different input ports with specific names. I now have my PC, BluRay DVD, all regions BluRay and cable enabled on my unit. Only drawback, one has to be quick to choose the input or it defaults back to current mode. I have my Android phone connection enabled as well. Took a while to work through these enablements, but well worth the enjoyable effort. Last addition was an ambient light kit to the back. Too bad these are not built in to sets.
