For the first year after it came out it couldn't even do the 4K 120Hz advertised on the box. Had to wait for an update. After viewing 4K 120Hz content, DO NOT hit the power button. Let the TV go into sleep mode. If you press the power button, you will have to power cycle the TV to turn it back on again. (This is a real problem that Vizio knows about, look it up.)

However, there is one major bug that is ruining my experience. When the television is turned on, it defaults to about a 60% luminance. This is way too bright for a dark room. Unfortunately, the luminance has to be lowered every time I turn on the TV. I’ve seen two professional reviews and several users complain about this very issue. I’ve called tech support twice and was told that they have not heard of this issue and that I may have faulty hardware. That is simply not true. Replacing the TV will not correct this. It is a firmware bug that is not being addressed. It is making me wish I had gone with LG, but it is too late to return the Vizio. One of the professional reviews mentioned that Vizio is aware of this. If they don’t correct the firmware, I will have to adjust this picture setting every time I turn on the TV until I replace it with another brand. This defeats the purpose of having all my equipment turn on with one click of the Apple TV remote, because I still have to grab the Vizio remote and change the picture setting every day. Unfortunately, the ambient light sensor is affected by this issue as well so that is not a good option either. Since tech support can’t help, I am at the mercy of the firmware development team at Vizio. Such a shame, because it has a beautiful picture.

But so far mines been great.. and to be fully honest i got mine on sale for considerably cheaper msrp you will not find a oled tv at this price point and the benefits outweigh the nrgative in my opinion

I spent close to 4 hours researching what OLED to buy and I regret not reading bad reviews and, honestly, going to Reddit. As everyone else has mentioned already, this TV is bugged. I have the same problems of having to unplug it and back in to turn the tv on, having consistent audio problems and can't cast anything but YouTube. I'm returning it today, thankfully I'm within the return period, which shows how quickly this software crapped out. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money before buying this TV. The picture is incredible which is why I gave it an extra star, but again, it's not worth the hassle.

The truth is this TV like many budget brands is like playing Russian roulette with your wallet, you’ll either be okay or die. I love the design of this tv the base feels so premium. It’s pretty heavy though. The remote is rather small and feels cheap. Smart cast is an Ad filled OS and the apps aren’t actually on your tv but rather web-portals that playback from Vizio servers. The motion is poor on this tv. Upscaling does not exist on this TV, your 4K, Dolby or HDR content will look great but when you play 1080p content it’s horrible. If you find this tv on sale and wanna take a shot make sure to grab an Apple TV 4K or Nvidia shield to make up for the upscaling issues. Now the worst part of this TV are the glitches, some complain about tvs not turning on, audio issues, what I’ve experienced is if I play Dolby content sometimes the tv will go green and purple but you can fix it by unplugging it. The tv light stays on even if you turn off the tv. If you’re patient with bugs go for this tv

Best Deep Colors for OLED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the Vizio 55 OLED 4k TV for about a week now, and I’m still pretty blown away with the crisp deep colors I’m seeing. Vizio has also improved their SmartCast platform to make streaming apps much easier and intuitive. I have a previous LG OLED I purchased 6 months ago, but I now prefer this Vizio OLED because of the mirroring feature without using Apple that comes with the SmartCast platform! Overall, it’s one if the best TV’s I’ve ever purchased.
