Picture is great. Software is not so great. I purchased this over the other major brand because of availability and slightly regret it. It takes some time to load and forces ads for Vizio products every other time you turn it on. It has froze a few times also. But when it is working the picture makes it almost worth it.

Picture quality is great. Bought it because it was a cheap OLED with 120hz. Be aware you cannot use this tv for 4K and 120hz at the same time. If you have it set to 4K it will switch back to 60hz. Worked great for the first 6 hours. Then it wouldn’t play any shows or movies on any of the streaming apps and eventually froze. I turned it off with the remote and now it won’t turn back on at all.

Hello BlackFriday, thank you for taking time to leave us your review. The OLED55-H1 absolutely can produce a 4K picture at 120HZ when devices are connected to HDMI ports two and three. As for power issues, this is not typical so I would like to learn more so we can assist with troubleshooting. Please visit support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’. Vizio did a great job on their first OLED. I've owned LG and Sony OLEDS, and for the price this one can compete. Now I would not recommend unless it is on sale for that <$1000 price. Look up some good PQ settings online and fine tune it to your liking. No comment on speakers. I always have my TV plugged into external speakers.

First OLED. Picture quality is outstanding. Been really impressed with the set's delivery of HDR/Dolby Vision content. A wonderful experience to behold. There have been a few bugs with the firmware but issues have been resolved at a steady rate. The design is one of the set's best attributes. I love the ample cord management. LG CX's is nonexistent. Materials are quite good and I do prefer the wave style stand. Smartcast has been ok. A few crashes from time to time. But overall, its snappy and works pretty well. For the amount of features, integration with HomeKit, design, and price, it's really tough to beat. Vizio needs to clean a few more things up, but I'm probably not as picky on those as others (e.g. VRR, lag time, etc.)

I am actually quite happy with the picture quality, however I am deeply frustrated about the software/firmware: I use the TV with a Sonos Arc soundbar and an Nvidia Shield TV as a player. So all U want from the TV is display and pass through Atmos sound to the soundbar. Generally it worked, but I had continuously audio dropouts. After a long and tedious search for the root cause, it turns out it was the TV's fault. I finally have a workaround, where the audio is not passed through the TV, but the TV firmware still causes me grief. The TV gives me regularly messages that it found a new audio device or that no signal is detected from the HDMI source and that the TV will turn off in x seconds. I really don't expect much from the software, just turn on and display the picture from the HDMI source. Apparently that's too much to ask from this TV... Running the latest firmware and haven't seen any improvements with any update. I would not recommend this TV and will not buy a Vizio TV again.

Great Picture and OLED for less then $1,000. Had issue with it turning off and having to unplug to reset several times. Think it might have had a conflict with the soundbar. No further issues since we changed soundbars. Interesting that the VIZIO sound bar was the problem. Purchased a Yamaha sound bar and works great

I bought this TV mostly for gaming on my PS4 pro, and I was blown away by how amazing everything looks. I also watched a 4K Blue Ray movie on it and was amazed at how dark the darks actually were. Amazing picture and very minimal jittering. Only downside with PS4 pro is that some settings in the TV are locked out (Saturation, etc). But unless you really crave that slight difference of these settings, then this is a minor inconvenience and could change with a simple firmware update. The preset settings are still changeable though (warm, cold, game, etc.) Overall great TV for the price range!

I start off by saying, I'm a fan of Vizio. I've owned Vizio before and they're one of my favorite TV brands. However, this has been the worst TV I've purchased EVER. Pros: 1. Image quality - GREAT! That's it, that is the only Pro. Cons: 1. Bad Firmware 2. Bad Software Issue: 1. Unable to cast virtually anything. Whenever I tried to cast anything it would either freeze, or lose sound (sometimes indefinitely even after stopping the cast). 2. VRR not working 3. Picture settings kept changing back on their own after turning off 4. sometimes picture settings would switch back instantly when using 5. Would constantly disconnect from soundbar connected via ARC Troubleshooting steps since I know there will be people that may think I could have done more. 1. I attempted to cast from different devices to ensure the device wasn't my issue. 2. Ensured that the apps on my devices were up to date. 3. I ran software update on TV 4. I reset to factory settings at least 3 times. (1x just to be able to get the volume back). I went back to the store today and exchanged it for a P-Series instead, hopefully I will have a better experience.

Waiting on an Update, review in the waiting... Bought the TV for my PS5 / PC but I still have not opened it up yet. Found out while waiting for the TV to arrive that there are major gaming issues with the set and an future update is required for what I bought it for that is not out. Issues - The 120hz and 4k does not work. You have to downgrade to 60hz. -VRR is completely not working. TV is a buggy mess. But as a Movie watching set, still hear nothing is great things. But in the gaming aspect, whole other story. And I bought this TV for Gaming features it advertised, but no of it works at all or correctly... -Can't want to use this TV, will be a beast once it is fixed up and it does look like it will be great in the future. But now, I can't even pull my self to open it up (not a person that will open something and return it unless something there is something unexpected for the worse). -For $899 + 5 year warranty purchased, great price once they get it worked out. And glad Best Buy has a extended return dates. No regrets getting it, with a good return window to ensure they get it right before we are locked in...

The tv is great, easy to set up. It has tons of apps and some that have free content which would eventually pay for the tv itself. I was a little worried when I played a game on my Xbox One where the screen would go black while I was playing a game but the tv has a variable refresh rate and the Xbox also has variable refresh rate which I’m assuming messed with the communication between the two so I turned it off on the Xbox and it worked. The real test of the tv will be when I hook up the new Xbox Series X on launch day because I was one of the lucky ones to get a preorder from Best Buy, since this tv offers all the features to get the most out of the new Xbox Series X.

This is a great TV. Don't fret over some of the obsessive, negative reviews! They are misleading and may prevent you from buying a great TV. After reading some of the reviews on this TV both on BestBuy as well in the professional, on-line reviews, I was concerned that this would be a poor choice. I called Vizio and was put in touch with a product person who addressed the many concerns raised in the reviews. Since purchasing the TV, we are extremely pleased with our choice. The picture is awesome. The brightness is great too. Of course, that depends on the brightness of one's room. We did observe that in the Best Buy display samples, that the LG CX is slightly brighter. I am not sure what that gets one in day-to-day use. On its own, this TV looks great, and there is no brightness issue. And it is priced below the LG BX, so why should the more-expensive CX be the benchmark (other than LG being the leader in OLED). Some comments claim that the TV turns off by itself. That hasn't happened to us. This TV has two modes--Eco, which turns the TV off fully and Standby, which enables it to turn on more quickly. We use Eco, which may avoid some of the complexities in the power on/off of the device. When we first powered this machine on, the firmware updated over a period of 15 mins or so. Vizio told us that the bugs that are highlighted in these reviews were all early-on and that the firmware updates address those. That appears to be correct, as we have had no issues. Some of these claims about picture quality and brightness are misleading. For example, we have found picture quality differences between a video played on the embedded Amazon Prime video app and that played on our Apple TV (4th Generation). The Vizio app quality is higher, and the brightness of each picture is different. Our 4th gen Apply TV is supposed to pass the HDR signal through to the TV, so it is surprising that there is a difference in the look of the video. The point is that there are numerous factors that play into brightness and picture quality. So these obsessive comments from some Best Buy customers are not helpful, as they take a complex issue and make it seem to hinge on a single opinion. Also, note that many of the online "professional" TV reviews were harsh about this TV. Perhaps Vizio released the TV too soon for reviews. Of course, we are not doing direct comparisons, but it isn't clear these "professional" reviewers are doing direct comparisons either. The reviews seem to be biased, and focused on extremes rather than actual day-to-day usage. After using this TV, it isn't clear why the Vizio P series TVs sell for more money than this. We cannot comment on gaming performance, as we aren't gamers.

Tv has a great picture but feels like an unfinished product. Power locks up from time to time so you have to unplug it and plug it back in in order to get it to come on. Functionality problems with 4K 120hz. Works with the Xbox Series X but not with the PS5. Fix is being worked on. Apps work fine in regards to the usual Netflix, AppleTV, etc. Once the firmware is lined out I would recommend. At this point I would hold off and go another route.

Not bad for Vizio Oled but still has away to go unfortunately the TV dose not handle motion well for HDR while watching 1080 it's unbearable at time and not a TV for gaming either and sound is average at best but none of the best the TV has the inky blacks that only a OLED can deliver still making a better TV then 70% of the market the picture is beautiful at time I'm hopeful for the next generation Oled from Vizio.

We have a loft area where we do most of our tv watching and this replaced a 55” plasma. We have been putting off replacing the tv as I didn’t want to give up the true black that the plasma had. I didn’t think I would say this but this tv has a better picture than the plasma. 4K is nice but the HDR is where this TV shines. The color is very accurate and didn’t require me to go messing with calibration disks. The cable routing on the back definitely helps keep everything organized and looking good. If you’re in the market for a replacement for a plasma definitely check this tv out.

I purchased 4 of these due to the Black Friday deal to go into a new renovation. The picture is great due to OLED in which they [should]. Here's where Vizio falls short on this one(probably rush to market due to everyone staying home due to COVID): No screensaver; it just powers down. I have two other OLEDS with LG and Sony and when there is no activity, it goes to a screensaver to prevent burn-in. They intermittently won't power on. I have to actually unplug the power supply and re-power to make it respond to a power command. The Vizio Cast App. The app fails to see the tvs on the network, therefore useless. I have a M-series 55 and 32 and no problem operating them with the Vizio Cast app. These 4 will be in the same room and the Vizio Cast App would be beneficial to control as to they are all in range of the remote and would avoid conflict of controlling separate Tvs. Do not buy now and wait for them to fix the bugs. I want to return, but haven't installed these due to reno not ready and think Best Buy won't take back due to a 30-day return policy... Vizio, you are better than this. Hope this doesn't tarnish your market share due to RUSH TO MARKET.
