Picture quality is amazing as it’s an OLED TV but the software looks quite buggy: 1. I use Apple TV box and when I switch it on Tv turns ON for few seconds, then turns off and again turns ON. WEIRD 2. I use vizio v21h sound bar and sometimes the sound turns off specifically for certain app. Super weird. Like from Apple TV YouTube and other apps work with sound ON, but Disney+ plays with no sound. 3. One time the TV just froze. You just have to pull the tv plug out and plug in again to resolve 2 and 3 issues. I’ll see how tolerant I will be towards these bugs for few more weeks and decide whether to keep it. VIZIO pls fix the bugs. I want to like this TV because it’s budget friendly and it’s good picture quality

I have purchased a few Vizio LED TVs over the years and I am loving the new Vizio OLED 55”. Purchased this for the upcoming next gen consoles and I couldn’t be happier with what I have already experienced. My movie watching and video games have never looked this good.

Not going to lie, for the size i only bought this tv to game on and im goad i did. I wamt to add my normal gaming view was a 4k monitor but for the price and features tv are closing the distance on monitor and fast. My gaming unit of choice is Xbox series x, which means i want to game at 4k 120. Not only does this tv game at 4k 120hz w pro gaming options but the future of gaming for XSX is Dolby Vision, which was a huge selling point for choosing this tv over a gaming monitor. Dont let gaming be the only buying point for this tv. Movies look amazing as well and yes this Vizio can keep up w LG and Sony. Highly recommend this tv.

Overall picture is great. The firmware is the issue. If you plan on using it for movies and tv it’s an amazing tv. But if you plan on getting it to use VRR and 4K/120, stay away as there are a plethora of bugs with those feature.

I love the picture, but Vizio is still trying to fix the issues with the software. Sometimes when I turn on the TV it does not turn on! I have to unplug it and plug it back in! Should not be happening on a TV that is over 1000!

I went back and forth about a few different TVs trying to get the best TV for it's cost. When I saw this in store and on sale I did not hesitate to grab one! I went to 3 different stores trying to get one! I could not be happier! The TV is SO easy to use, it works great with my google home devices. Even the smart tv features are so easy to use. The picture quality is amazing and perfect for gaming and watching movies. After doing research it outdoes a lot of LG and samsung TVs, especially for the price. You have to hit the mid tear tvs which are way more to get the same if not slightly better quality screen than this one. MUST HAVE.

Just to get it out of the way, I love this tv. I was afraid of being an early adopter for Vizio's first go at an OLED, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The tv is bright for an OLED, the colors are great with a bit of calibration, and HDR is amazing. I must confess that my first panel was defective, but Vizio's customer service was a breeze to work with. They replaced it with a brand new tv and I haven't had an issue since. This is unfortunately a possibility with a purchase from any company, but I was pleased by their assistance in the matter. This is the first OLED I have personally owned, and I have no regrets making this leap.

Wow....yeah the experts have a few hits for this TV, but I consider it oustanding. Amazing image, getting it home a set up allows for a real-world review, not just a showroom glimpse that always gets lost in competing images. Noticeable image improvement over my last 4K LED. There are numerous picture settings that can be adjusted to your image preference. You will not be disappointed with this TV's ability to turn true-black and colors into an image that has both subtleties and stare-at-amazing. My use is mainly digital TV, streaming, DVD movies (4K&Bluray). Black Friday week sale $899.

The sad part of this review is I can't afford to send it back and let me explain! The tv has a great picture but so many software issues but for the price I bought it for I think I can live with it, with the hopes that Vizio fixes the bugs! Here are a few issues that I have. 1. I have to unplug the tv about once a week to get the tv to come on? 2. I get a green screen about once every 2 weeks where I have to unplug the tv and hold to power button and it goes away? 3. Sound cuts out on my Sonos speaker every so often? 4. Lots of Black Crush on some movies but beautiful on others? 5. Ports are hard to get to if you hang on the wall. I am not a gamer and still using the older xbox so I am not concerned about the 2.1 issues at this time but hope they can fix this for the future. As I stated for the price I bought it for I can live with the issues because I refuse to pay $500+ more for an Oled tv! If you can purchase for $899 then I think it is still a great deal!

This is the OLED TV most people should buy. If you catch it on sale for $900, it's a no brainer. The picture quality is excellent, HDR & Dolby Vision titles look incredibly sharp. Watching sports is a dream. I heard a lot about how OLED TV's don't get bright enough, but I have this is a fairly well lit living room and have had zero visibility issues. There is really only one issue with this TV - the tv stand. If you have kids or a large dog, you're going to want to mount this TV, the stand is not sturdy at all and it's hard to understand what Vizio was thinking there.

Really saddened by how faulty this TV is. The image quality is amazing, but nothing works right. My husband and I bought two, and they both have the same issues. We haven't even had them for 2 weeks yet and already we are looking to return them. Beware the reviews for this TV. If you don't mind unplugging and plugging the TV back in 2 to 5 times a day while using it to reset it, then you may be able to deal with the hassle of owning one. HDMI ports don't work, just a black screen most of the time (until you unplug and plug it back in) We both experienced a bugged on and off system, where even though the power is turned on, it's a black screen. Also we've experienced terrible image skipping and unable to play on our separate tvs at different times. Really sucks because the picture is amazing and that's what drew us to it in the store. Just wish I had trusted the reviews.

Its a great intro into OLED without breaking your bank too much. Picture was stunning coming from a tiny 24inch 1080p tv. I have done all of the best picture settings possible with a ton of research but as I began to dive into content I started noticing the bugs and flaws everyone talks about. The one thing that bugged me the most was how it delt with motion. Jutter was too noticeable with panning shots. I ended up bitting the bullet and trading it in for $300 more 55" LG C1...THE BEST OLED TV I'VE EVER SEEN. I watch a lot of HDR content and Play Games Competitively as well as Casually and the difference between the two tvs is Night & Day. If you want a comparison its basically an LG CX picture quality and the best bang for your buck on BlackFriday. In Summary, DO NOT BUY THIS TV...Get the LG C1 instead. The Vizio Oled does not compare. Gotta give vizio another 2 years to develop a good OLED.

4 stars AFTER FIRMWARE UPDATE. 1 star off for finicky Smartcast OS. The HDR picture quality is TOP NOTCH for movie watching but this is NOT A GAMING MACHINE until they fix the firmware. Ports 2 and 3 are currently not operational to receive 4K120 signals from either the PS5 or Series X. Please confirm fix before buying if you're planning to game 4K120. HOWEVER, for under $1000 for an OLED? This is definitely a good value for movie watchers and Netflix streamers.

This review is limited to movie watching at this point. As a movie display this Vizio is fantastic - it feels like a richer, more expensive TV than it is in this regard. The color accuracy, contrast, and of course, the black levels are perfect. I am waiting on the arrival of a PS5 before I can fairly judge its next-gen gaming capabilities. I have heard of some issues with a few gaming-related features (notably VRR not working and HDMI 2.1 limited to 40 Gbps instead of 48) but hope that firmware updates sort this out before my early January PS5 delivery.

The worst tv purchase I have ever made. Several issues with the software and the power. I have already had to reset the tv on several occasions just to get it to operate. Sometimes when you shut it off and try to turn it back on the next time it won’t restart so I have had to reset the tv.

I would consider myself middle class , however I have an eager obsession with this lol as my wife would say. We have 6 tvs ranging in 32" - 55" . One tv in every room exercise room , patio , 3 bedrooms and living . All products very by brand and models mostly budget black Friday deals . Most impressive on was the 50" Samsung hd 1080 p and my patio 1080 p 3d vizio 42" on my deck yr round. I risked being in the dog house with my wife when I brought home this one. As I clarified I got it on sale $40off and this was gonna be the best TV. That I wouldn't have to buy another TV for at least 10 yrs. Lol Needless to say I did my homework with this TV. With 50/50 giving this the thumbs up. So with that being said I got the TV home mounted on the wall while my wife was sleeping ⁵⁵'' so taking the chance if its on the wall she can't say no. [Side note ] get assistance mounting I had my 14 yr old help me and that was risky. But mission completed it's up and I can now say that this 55" is by far the best TV in the house and well worth the money . Good job vizio on this 1st gen. It holds its on weight compared to competitors. 10out 10 especially on x box one series s 4k 120hrz and on 4k video. I watched for hrs till 2am . The 1st night knowing I had to be up at7am The blacks are super black and colors are amazing . 4k video of relaxing aquarium or animals or landscape is simply phenomenal. Can't wait to actually watch a new movie when they actually come out. Don't hesitate to buy if you can get this one . Especially on sale .

I'm really impressed with this display. OLED perfect contrast ratio's, 4k 120hz, HDMI 2.1 with VRR at a price competitive with the lowest end OLED's on the market. The Vizio smartcast software isn't the best but with recent software updates improving ARC and HDR functionality I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The only downside is the brightness isn't as high as the higher end OLED's which are already lower than some of the new MicroLED and WOLED's that are coming into the market. Sound quality is acceptable but would suggest using a soundbar.
