58” Vizio Smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this tv for years. Great size and price. It did glitch a few times a year or two ago and the picture was lost and got static and it kept happening that night not sure why, but it hasn’t happened since. Great buy.

Worked for 2 years exactly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My teens loved this tv. Unfortunately two years after purchasing this the screem died. We cannot do anything with it and this was their gaming tv. If you decide to buy this we recommend getting wjatever warranty is available to cover you for three years. Now that is $400 gone.

Do not get!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely loved this tv when i first got it back in 2021! It looked so nice mounted on the wall and had lots of apps and features. I honestly don’t watch TV much its more so when guest came over. One day out the blue the screen starts getting lines in it and flashes off and on. Within a week the whole screen is out. Tvs are for sure supposed to last a long time. I see other comments from users who had their TVs less time than I did and still experienced thr same thing would not recommend this tv.

Stopped working after 5 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this is a goodTV ... IF IT WORKED. The design is nice, image is pretty good. But the TV stopped working for no reason. Impossible to turn it on. Vizio claims that you need to unplug it, hold the power button 5 secs, then plug it back in. Did just that and the TV would show it is on, but no image, no sound and no response from the remote control. It was then impossible to turn it off.. Vizio claims this is a "repairable issue". I don't care. A brand new TV should not stop working after 5 days only. Thankfully, Best Buy had a 15-day return policy. Very thankful for how Best Buy & GeekSquad helped me out. I upgraded to a Samsung.

3-star trash.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.11 months in and the tv is blinking a black screen. I’ve researched and it seems like the faulty backlight is a known issue with Vizios yet, they continue to be sold. I bought the tv from Best Buy in November of 2020. DO NOT BUY unless you want to purchase another tv within a year. When it works, the picture quality and other features are great (smartcast, apps, free channels, etc), but it’s not a long term tv. It’s frustrating having to consider purchasing another TV in such short amount of time. Buy the name brand and get your money’s worth.

Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought 2 of those TVs within the last two years and both of them started to get lines on the screen. The first tv started getting lines at the bottom of the screen before it completely went out. The second tv is starting to do the same thing and is only getting worse as time passes. Both TVs started to mess up shortly after a year of purchase. Vizio should be ashamed of themselves for continually putting out TVs that don’t work. We have 2 other TVs of a different brand that are 5 years old & have never had a problem but these TVs have barely lasted a year. It’s not a coincidence that these TVs go back after the warranty expired.

Not worth the money complete waste.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tv is trash. I’ve had it less then 3 years and for about a year now it shows up black so I have to unplug it from the wall then plug it back in for it to come on. Also it has green lines at the bottom of the tv now the tv is flashing halfway up. I had to exchange the 1st one I bought because it was cracked at the bottom of the screen when I purchased it. Paid over $400 for this tv and it sucks. They won’t even help out fixing it.

TV only lasted 3 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was watching TV and what looked like a black liquid inside the TV dripped down the screen. I now have no picture, just sound. I got a 2-year warranty, and this is a 3-year-old TV. I expected it to last longer than 3 years!

Buy a dumb tv instead!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is good and good for the price, but there are some things that I totally dispise about the smart tvs features. 1- You start at the vizio screen everytime you start instead of starting with your last input. This is inconsiderate and wastes time. 2- though you can arrange apps (what to stream) you have them all showing. Now that is not so poor, but I hate clutter! 3- you are stuck with vizio’s poor choices of what apps people want to stream. You can not add from the many far better choices out there. Vizio’s response, smartcast from your apple phone. Really? Why not allow some additions and removals from there list. 4- though most of my subscribed to channels came through easily, vizio thinks that they are god with others, and require you to purchase the streamed channel from them. No exceptions unless you want to smartcast. 5- so to get past all the above crap, i have installed a roku casting device, because vizio blocks an amazon firestick from working. Another sore point. So, i will not recommend vizio’s smart tv sets, you are far better off with a samsung dumb style, besides that vizio will not have the ability to to compromise your privacy, google or roku can, but not for over the air tv.

Posted .Hello Shane, thank you for taking time to leave some feedback for us. This TV absolutely allows the use of all streaming devices, we have no blocks or restrictions on Amazon content or devices. Can you give us some additional details about the issue you are experiencing? This is not typical so I would like to learn more so we can assist with troubleshooting. In regards to the TV starting up on the SmartCast input, we will want to make sure that we are powering the TV on and off with the power button at top of VIZIO remote. Powering the TV on with another button than the power button at top of VIZIO remote typically will result in the TV powering on to the SmartCast input.

No option for parental controls
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV has no option for parental controls. A few minutes of Google searches before my purchase had me convinced this would be easy to set up. But, we searched in vain for a way to moderate the content or access to the apps on this device. We called Vizio for support and they informed us that you cannot do this. Their advice was "disconnect the TV from wifi". That's a totally unacceptable answer, as any enterprising child/teen can simply reconnect to wifi and have unrestricted access to content. Terribly unthoughtful design from Vizio and not family-friendly. Also, the screen seems rather dull. This is a budget TV and it shows in the brightness and clarity of the screen. That's a secondary concern, but worth noting. I suppose it's worth spending more for a better model. We are returning this.

Posted .Hello FamilyDad, at VIZIO we pride ourselves on our highly rated picture quality. To make sure you’re getting the most out of your VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms, try using the ‘VIVID’ picture mode for a brighter, more colorful image. Another good way to see the full capabilities of the TV would be to search for "4K HDR" in the YouTube app. As long as your network connection is able to support speeds needed for 4K HDR content, there are some amazing looking videos. If you’d like any assistance adjusting these settings, our customer support team would love to help you dial in the TV to your preference, you can reach them at 844-254-8087.

Piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK! We just bought it 10 days ago, have it hanging on the wall and have been watching it, and now it won't turn on and Best Buy won't do anything about it! I called the local store where we bought it and was on hold for 20 minutes before someone finally picked up the call, and said we could either bring it back (it's hanging on the wall, which was no easy feat) or we could have Geek Squad come over but then we'd have to pay for it. My husband and I are old so returning it to the store would be a major pain. Best Buy sucks!

Bad dimensions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am absolutely livid. I purchased this television specifically based on the dimensions listed in the specifications. Best Buy says the stand width is 42.47" wide. My tv cabinet is 43.5" wide. I thought this was perfect. However, upon receipt, the stand is NOT 42.47", but rather 44.5" wide- it does not fit, and cannot be supported. Now I am scrambling to purchase a suitable stand for a reasonable price and in a reasonable timespan. Thanks for the poor information. Now I need to find a stand and pay an expense that I had not planned for.
