We love this tv. It's huge and does everything we need! Just wish it had a central stand so it could fit on a tv stand comfortable. The legs are too wide for ours.

The D series is the lowest priced Vizio HDTV, and in my store was in stock but not on display. Differences from higher priced version include having a basic remote, only three hdmi inputs, fewer LED sectors instead of 32 on the M series), no 3D, and 120 vs. 240 refresh rates. I have not noticed any blur or lack of contrast in normal viewing, but that might be a matter of personal perception. I have a 3D set (55 in) already but rarely watch my 3D DVDs. A remote with a touchpad on the back for the M also works for the D and is available for under from 15 dollars from Amazon; the Qwerty keyboard has thus far proven compatible with Amazon, Netflix, and Youtube apps. . Splitters for HDMI are also available if more inputs are needed. The picture on this set was great out of the box and the sound for my wife and myself satisfactory. The smart tv features are very convenient, eliminating the need for a Roku or Amazon firestick. I paid twice this price for a 52 inch SONY nine years ago that caught the blue blob illness after about five years. It was so heavy that it took two people to move it. This tv weighs about 50 pounds, but still requires two peopletomove because of size .. . not because it's too heavy. The extremely thin frame around the picture is a minor but noticeable bonus when compared toour other HDTVs.

First the good: Right out of the box, Great picture and sound, I have still not adjusted anything and it is perfect. I come from a 720p plasma, 1080 p projection tv, 720 projector, but i did a lot of research and the rating holds true. I did have a smart feature issue, even though i had set up my wi fi, and net flix ran perfect. NO other feature; amazon, facebook, you tube etc. would run. Everytime i pushed the hot button to go to one of these extras, it would take to me to a set up screen for my wifi! Quick call to vizio, i did have to wait on hold for about 10 min but it was friday nite at 7:00, i have to think this is extremely busy time for them. The woman came on and took me to a couple of different settings, i must say hear that i love the manual is on the tv! it had my SN rite there and just gave to her. She took me to my settings and determined that the tv was not updating for some reason. THE FIX: she had me go into a service mode, shut off tv for 3 min, powered back on...it started thinking.....thinking....PRESTO!! EVERY FEATURE WORKS. She said that she thought my wifi was slow at first but then determined it was just kind of stuck and needed help. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only other thing that is a little antique is the controller, not universal, but i read you can get the M series with kboard so going to make sure it is a universal remote and get it. you can connect your phone to the you tube and net flix so that helps with the keyboard issue as you can voice search on phone and play on tv. Best buy priced matched this from walmart and gave to me for 790! they had in stock, i would have had to wait 3 weeks for walmart for free delivery! Go get this TV it is superb for the price!

I was so frustrated after returning the LG 65' inch (65lb5200) model twice for dark shadowing and bad angle viewing. I almost stopped thinking about getting a tv right now until I read some of the reviews of the Vizio. I'm so glad I got this TV and I'm thankful for all the reviews because this TV truly does amaze me and the reviews were true. The picture is so clear and detailed and the colors are so vibrant. Best picture of any TV that I have ever seen. So happy with the purchase so far.

I originally purchased the 999.00 LG 65 inch on advice from a best buy sales person. They thought the LG would have a better picture. I can tell you it wasn't nearly as good as the Visio, not even as good as my old 55" lcd I've had for 5 years. The picture is clean and crisp. I do see on occasion that when I change channels or it changes seens that its a little fuzzy as it changes, maybe that's the clear motion thingy, but its worth every penny. To think 5 years ago I paid 1400 for a 55".

The tv is great for the sale price. The picture is good but dont believe it's great. I believe it can also depend on your cable provider, we have seen a difference in picture with different cable providers. Beware, if placing tv on stand make sure stand is long enough. All of our tv's have always had a middle base and didnt realize this tv wouldnt fit on our stand since it didnt have the middle base (our fault). We had to purchase a longer stand. Overall we are satisfied w/ tv.
