Awesome picture at a budget price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought both the 60" and 65" Vizio E series to replace older TVs in my house. I could not turn away from these great deals even though they are not the top-of-the-line sets. First, the reason I bought this was for the UHD panel. I knew this did not have a co-axial input (I use a cable box) and I also run by system through a receiver. Even though the screen is not HDR, it has a wonderful picture (after tweaking the settings). This was a great value for a UHD display. PROS: Great picture (deep blacks, vibrant colors) Easy set-up (pairing with the remote and my iPhone/Ipad Chromecast (basic, not Ultra) is build in - easy to use Has the HDMI 2.0 (HDPC 2.2) on the first HDMI input Great value (I picked mine up for under $600). CONS: Not HDR (if that is a must-have for you) No TV tuner (I didn't care) Only one UHD HDMI input - you really need to use a receiver if you want to stream UHD as well as play UHD movies You do have to use your tablet/phone to make picture/sound adjustments - the small remote does control volume, input selection and picture mode) Overall, if you want to get the big-screen experience on a budget, this is a great way to do. You can certainly get a better display spending hundreds of dollars more - but this is a great value which will serve me well for several years.

This new software update is rolling out to most VIZIO SmartCast displays and will be downloaded automatically. Terrible Sound

Posted .Thanks for taking the time to review our product. This display does have RCA (red & white) audio out ports, and an Optical (sometimes called SPDIF) audio out port that will work to connect the display to compatible audio devices. You could also connect some Sound Bars & sound systems to this display using HDMI ARC. ARC would give you 5.1 audio, as well as allowing some compatible devices to follow power and audio commands from the display.

Too much motion blur

My LG plasma 1080p has a better picture watching sports. Took this one back and got the LG 65UH6030. Very satisfied with it. Still has some motion blur but definitely a 4k picture.

Decent tv for the price

Returned it the next day.

Cast will also recognize the resolution of the display, and automatically send a 4K image anytime the content is available in 4K.

Deceptive Box looks like smart TV

The box had all of the hulu, Netflix, YouTube and other logos which made me think smart TV. This is not a TV!! And it won't connect to wifi. You have to use an app on your phone to stream internet content to the TV, or you could use a firestick or a streaming DVD player. I shouldn't have to resort to all that for a new TV- only for older ones. This thing is a monitor- period. I returned it to the store the next day. Best Buy as always was great and gave me a full refund with no questions asked. I tried to find another TV there but ended up buying a Samsung at Sam's. I hope this helps.

Even though this is a 4K (I know there is minimal 4K programming.), the picture is nowhere near as good as the regular HD tv's. I am exchanging it for a Sony.

Best Buy was the best thing about this purchase. If not for them and their service, I would have been out of luck. Pay a little more for the next tier.
