Recently we have mainly been using the surround sound system instead and keep main volume control on mute. Otherwise great picture and vibrant colors.

I mainly bought as a “quick fix” to be used with my PS5 until the new tv lineup rolls out. The features are great and The PS5 looks great, however, watching movies is a completely different story, and the blooming around text is just too much. Other candidates were the Vizio P-Series and the Samsung Q80T since I needed a TV right away, I settled for the Vizio M-series since I will be getting something more permanent next year. I think I made a good purchase. Bottom line, it’s good for gaming, ease of use is amazing, for everything else is not so good.

My older 55 inch Vizio gives you maybe 4 seconds to select the input source but this tv gives you just 2 seconds so you have to be quick when changing input source. Also the remote has just the bare minimum of functions. They really got cheap with the remote.

The one I chose was the 65” M series. You will not be disappointed. The gaming engine was a reason why I chose this device, as I play a fair amount of PS5 FPS games. Also, it just looked better than the more expensive Samsung and LG variants.. and it was cheaper. Vizio makes a great tv, so don’t pass them up.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The vizio MQ7 is a great tv in its class it is no OLED but it does a very good job with black levels and the local dimming zones work well, their is some blooming with the dimming zones as this tv only has 30 zones. The color is very good, a bit warm but can be adjusted. The vizio cast OS is lackluster compared to Roku tvs but much more responsive than previous models.

Our last one was a Vizio 45" and the set we used in our living room and the one we used for gaming and movie night! It was 8 years old. We decided just before Superbowl to get a new set. Smart TV, everything loaded for streaming, 4 HDMI Ports, and vivid color picture. We have been buying Vizio since our first 30" diagonal. Pretty happy!!

Vizio's CEC implementation is a dumpster fire though and compatibility between the TV, Vizio soundbar, and Nvidia Shield TV has been a nightmare.

I always try again but it never will update. 2nd issue is sometime I will press the power button on the remote to turn the tv on and it comes on but with no picture or sound, but the light on the tv is on. I learned to unplug the TV for 30 seconds and then plug it back in, and the TV come on when the power button is pressed. Outside of these problems, I have enjoyed it.
