    I was a fan of Vizio TVs

    I'm reviewing PQ65-G1 model. Let me begin by saying that I used to own nothing but Samsung in my household until I decided to try the original P-Series in 2016. I became a fan and had purchased other Vizio TVs such as their D and E series. I never had any issues with any of them. I was in the market for a new TV that's HDR compatible and purchased this P-Series Quantum. The good: TV is overall fantastic, great picture quality, good motion, good black levels, bright, great colors and HDR content looks amazing. Why the 3 stars? The bad: this is my 2nd set already. The first set had a bad screen uniformity where the screen had a bunch of grey bars all across the screen that were very noticeable in bright scenes. I exchanged the TV for exact same model. Guess what? The new one has exact same screen uniformity. It's visible and super annoying. This is a 65" monster which is wall mounted. Huge hassle to take down and go through another exchange. I think I'm out of my 15 day return/exchange window with Best Buy so am probably stuck with it. The TV could of been fantastic, but same screen uniformity issue on 2 different sets killed it for me. I don't think I'll be purchasing another Vizio product again.

    I had originally the TCL 6 Series 65R615. I had a good month to try it out since I am a Best Buy Elite member. I couldn't get past the "dirty screen effect" it had had when on a static image. I returned it and bought this bad boy instead. I have always bought Vizio TVs ever since I was introduced to them when I was working at Costco. I've never had a problem with them. The image is great on this TV after a little tweaking and pairs great with my VIZIO SB46514-F6 Dolby Atmos Home Theatre. We started watching Stanger Things all over again after buying this TV and 4K movie watching is great. It mostly gets used for gaming and it excels in my opinion in that aspect. There is some vertical banding when on panning shots but that I understand because that is the software trying to keep up. Other than that the TV is great and will probably upgrade to a P Quantum X or equivalent when this one goes the way of the Dodo. This TV always fools me into thinking it is more expensive than it really is with its thing bezels. I got on a great deal of $999.99 which is what last year's model was just a few months ago. Bottom line if you want bang for your buck this is the way to go. TCL while a great price for most, may not be the quality a video file is interested.

    Software is ancient. Picture is really good.

    I spent $1,000 on this TV and it’s just okay. The picture is awesome but god for bid you try and use the smartcast. The smart cast feature is the slowest, most frustrating operating system of all time. It’s truly remarkable how slow it functions. I use my Xbox to do anything on the TV to avoid the frustration. Also, it randomly shuts off at times. I’ve done a factory reset probably 10 times in a few months to try and correct the issue. I’ve tried everything. Aesthetically, it looks great and has a great picture. It’s basically like the cutest dog in the world that is pretty well behaved, but he goes to the bathroom in the house 3 days a week.

    Beautiful, bright UHD TV for less!

    Easy, quick start up. Beautiful, bright, QLED-like colors for a decent price. Picture quality was near perfect ultra HD even during streaming. Color and brightness was intense. I appreciate the remote being simple without a ton of confusing or useless controls. I did return this tv only because the 65” was too big for my living room. *This tv does not have a ‘voice’ button on the remote.

    It's my first 4k tv and was expecting a lot from it . I'm the type of guy to hurry up and mount it and want to see greatness, but after doing so , i neeed to tweak it to make it great ( from my perspective ). I went to rtings.com to see how they calibrated their previous tv and did they same to mine, with few minor adjustments for my liking . I'm really loving it and very happy with my decision. Great picture , great value !

    Pixel issue at first, now amazing

    Had to return the first p series quantum I bought after 2.5 days due to a pixel issue where there was a faint gray bar down the right side of the screen. Easy return process and price matching upon return for $200 off, new unit has an incredible picture. Vizio is always great value

    The best TV I’ve ever owned.

    After receiving a Vizio tv as a gift for our bedroom, my husband and I have fallen in love with Vizio. We purchased this 65” P Series and have had Zero regrets!! The image is crisp and clear. The glare is nowhere near as bad as our old TV. The Watch Free from Pluto TV is perfect and no need to pay for cable, which was a major sale point for our family. From Nick Jr to Hell’s Kitchen to News channels. There’s something for everyone. The Tv also connected with our Polk MagniFiMAX Sound bar system flawlessly and we only need the one remote to control everything.

    yikes! the color has a glow effect when its stand along (example: netflix load scree with black background, and red logo). you CANNOT add more apps. It DOES NOT have HBO GO / HBO NOW. (you need to add roku to have HBO). It DOES NOT have Disney+ (because you're not allowed to add apps) color is just ok.. LOVE the overall design! LOVE how it has 5 HDMI cable inputs! AWFUL UI/UX design.. if the TV is not connected to the internet and you go to the homepage, it simply shows a grey screen. No error message, no icons.. just blank grey screen. At this pricepoint I would expect a controller that I can pre-program.. I want to hit one button and go to "disney+".. not try and find the app on my homepage. no ability to customize homepage for simplification. I have to teach everyone how to use the TV. that's pretty annoying.

      Hello DoNotBuy, you can customize your app bar on the television from the Extras menu in the SmartCast input. Currently there is not a HBO Go application on your television. We are continually evaluating new applications for addition to the SmartCast screen. In the meantime, you can cast any of the thousands of Chromecast enabled applications (HBO Go being one of them) or Airplay content to the television from your mobile device. You can view Disney+ on this VIZIO SmartCast TV by 'Casting' the content from the Disney+ app on a compatible device. You can also use the AirPlay feature of your VIZIO TV with an iOS device running iOS12.3 or later or a Mac device running 10.14.5 or later. VIZIO

    The best tv I have ever ever owned I really want to try the the quantum x series. Hey Vizio I am a first responder working to death during this pandemic. I have the new series X video game system and will love to show it to my co workers hook it up.

    Great TV until the panel burns out

    Since November 2018 (a year and 6 months) I have bought 2 vizio 65 inch p series TVs. This was my second and was purchased 6 months ago. I had the first TV have a heat issue that damaged the panel and Vizio support would not do (less than a year after purchase) anything except offer me a 20% discount on one of their TVs from their website (who's shipping was more than the discount and their TVs already cost more than buying from a retailer like Best buy). I should have learned from this and went with a different brand, but I did not. I purchased this TV. I am currently on my 3rd chat with customer service as their chat client disconnected me from the 1st chat and the 2nd chat I was disconnected BY THE SUPPORT because I had to get a picture of the TV to show to support with a light background and it took more than 1 minute to get something on the TV and take the picture. I used upload from camera app to try and take the picture and since the chat disconnected me, I lost the picture so now I have to do it all again and hope they don't disconnect me. The worst part? The panel is dying and has a giant dark spot at the top and bars of darkness coming down from the top of the screen. Sending a picture is difficult because of how cameras work. They will adjust to the light of the room and the subject in focus, meaning they may set a longer exposure to compensate, which lets more light in, which prevents dark spots from being visible because a longer exposure of light means more light than is actually coming from the TV at the moment you take the picture, because it will allow light in for more than just that moment. Worse, smartphones auto adjust focuses and lighting so any time a scene changes colors or lighting, the focus changes and the settings for the picture change. I will take on with my DSLR, but knowing support, they will probably just kick out of the chat or do nothing. I will NEVER purchase a vizio product ever again. Attached is an under exposed picture showing the issue. When viewing the tv with your eyes, this is very prominent at any lighting with a light background. harder to capture with a picture

    Highly recommend this TV. I have to admit that I went a little overboard with this purchase. I got both this TV, and the 75 inch one. This one is in my little apartment bed room, and so it looks massive. Which is great. I can chill in my bed and I feel like I'm at the movie theater. Picture quality is great. It's easy to navigate the streaming services. Of course you'll need to get a sound bar for it, but that is expected with TV's now.

    Great Tv that has all the bells and whistles. Video is gorgeous, throwing your ios screen up is a nice feature, switching to other devices just by turning them on, backlight on old vizio went out so got new one and this one I run at about 25% to 50% old one was 80% to 100%. So definitely an upgrade. Sound not sure been using a sound system since I got it. Photo at 15% backlight.

    I bought 2 of these, the picture is amazing, the speakers suck. But i knew that going in, I have a home theatre system so the speakers aren’t really important for me. Never had a vizio before, so this will be a good experience I hope

    It's not awesome like an LG or high end Samsung but for the price & size its darn near close. I have a high end tv downstairs and use this upstairs. Love it!

    This tv is amazing. The picture is beautiful. 4K UHD content appears as though it's happening right in front of you, in the same room. Remember going from SD to HD? This transition to UHD is even more stunning.

    I purchased the first Vizio in November. Two weeks later it would turn on by itself in the middle of the night. Best Buy replaced it with a new one which was great. However, about a month later, the picture goes dark then completely disappears but the sound remains. Best Buy WOULD NOT replace it. Instead they are sending the Geek Squad to replace parts. I am very disappointed that I will bought a new TV only to have it refurbished a month later. I'm still waiting so I don't even know if it will get properly fixed. Wish I had bought a Samsung.

    This TV is a great deal the picture quality is phenomenal it really is the next best thing to an OLED the quantum dot technology really delivers on the 4K picture.

    Horizontal line and loss of Brightness

    I’ve had the TV for about 2 years and I’m starting to regret it . About 3 weeks ago my tv started showing Horizontal lines on it when I turn it on . It also feels like the quality of brightness has been diminished . Also it seems like it’s blurring lettering on a certain side of the tv which honestly hurts my eyes. I bought this tv with high hopes due to the Quality and size but after 2 years it starts acting up ? I looked past all the small things like the tv Turning on randomly or the apps being really slow and low quality but this is something I can’t look past . It’s sad that it starts to do this after I finished paying it . I wasn’t expecting this on such a big purchase
