Since you can use Google Chromecast or Apple Airplay 2 to send content to the television their may be someone accidentally activating this feature. One channel is like red head people in clown clothes then the next not so much. general clarity, transition, noise, and detail are just not all that achievable even tweaking the settings. Basically this is a tv that uses a ton of filtering options to hide its lack of quality. Returned it got a Samsung OLED and never looked back

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’.
