GREAT PICTURE

On one side we get the antenna channels. On the other side we use the apple box and You Tube. I like to watch sports, so this gives me access to the teams I want to see. It works well.

Vizio is crap

As of June 2021 it just stopped working. It doesn’t turn on - the power button shows that it’s getting power and it shows the vizio icon like it’s about to…but then it just shuts off and cycles through that process 3-5 times. Called vizio and they said once it’s past a year old it’s not their problem. Unless you have a protection plan Best Buy won’t do anything either. It’s nice to know vizio tv’s are only good for a year… I won’t be buying another.

The best TV I have ever owned!

Before this set, I was holding on to my 1080P 3D television as I was not truly impressed by the barrage of 4K televisions enough to upgrade. I then started leaning toward OLED sets, but I didn't feel the bump in picture was truly worth the premium. This TV was/is worth the jump. The picture is amazing. The "calibrated" mode is a great feature that I wish more TVs had pre-installed. That's what we want! There are more than enough connections to hook up components and the features and tweaking options are extremely deep. So much customization. I'm a gamer...no lag noticed. Blacks are black, and gray is gray. And having support for both HDR10 and Dolby Vision is a joy in itself. The smart features work well, and load fairly quickly. They also do a great job of "hubbing" content together on the main Vizio page. Not perfect, but a bit less cluttered. No regrets with this TV. There are a few negatives that may sway some, so if these matter, make your own call. The first is the apps. You can't add apps to the smart line-up. Yes, they have advanced casting, but when my mother-in-law is in town, she has no idea how to cast Sling to the TV when she's home alone. Something so simple should be a given on a set of this caliber. I will say that the free content that is provided on the Vizio/Pluto channel does make-up for some of the disappointment. It's just like having cable in a sense. The second is the sound pass through. I have a Vizio 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar that integrates wonderfully with this TV. Here's the issue: The ARC port on the TV does not pass the Atmos signal to the soundbar, only the supported DTS. So, if you have an Atmos device, say an XBOX One X, it has to be connected directly to the soundbar, and used on a different sound input. So, if you have more than one Atmos device, you'll need either a switch or a receiver to gain full access to your audio. This is silly. The TV has 5 HDMI inputs and none can pass the Atmos signal to the soundbar. Luckily, one device is enough for now, but that is bothersome. These are minor in the grand scheme of things, and I would still buy this regardless. It is a great set for just about everything you watch.

It is very frustrating and sometimes very time consuming

I am aware that Vizio uses generic parts in their sets to keep down cost. The picture was Terrible to try to get adjusted to the picture being put out by my Direct tv receiver. After a week of trying to adjust the picture, at times it was an outstanding picture, until there was movement. Then you had a choice of motion blur, terrible judder or pixelization. And every time you changed the channel or switched to an app, it was like starting all over again. Returned this set and got a Sony X900F and am VERY PLEASED with this upgrade.

Got it home, installed it on the wall, and turned it on. Initially i thought it had a decent picture, but i quickly realized that color accuracy was not in its wheel house. Even after calibration it still wasn't accurate. Ended up returning the vizio and getting the sony x900f, at the same price the sony walks circles around the vizio

DO NOT BUY THIS TV

We dont move it around or do crazy stuff with it. It's literally just been mounted to our well. 3 days ago it decided it doesn't to stay on. It cycles on and off. Nothing is hooked up to it. You can't pull up the menu to factory reset. Out of warranty so vizio wont help. Waste of money, waste of time. I have 2 Samsung TV's, one I've had since 2011 and it still works. Vizio is cheap as hell.

Nice TV
