It takes three tries to get the tv to come on and when it finally does the sound is blasting even though when I had normal sound when turning it off the night before. Something must be wrong somewhere. Also my cabinet was pretty scratched up when the installation was done. Not to happy

Sometimes it will shut off and not come back on. Sometimes the screen will wash out. I was having 2nd thoughts about purchasing this item. I should have stuck with Sony. I never have a problem with them.

Too good to be true

The color never looked right at first, despite all the positive reviews about how great it looks straight out of the box. That was until I had the mainboard replaced because the sound kept cutting out when connected by HDMI-ARC. Even after the mainboard was replaced, the sound issue remained. Vizio will be replacing my TV soon. I really wanted to like this TV. It has great specifications and features, but they’re useless if the TV doesn’t work as intended. The soundbar I have connected to it is also made by Vizio. There are a lot of complaints about sound cutting out randomly like what I’ve been experiencing and most of the remedies are to disable WiFi and Ethernet in the TV and to use an optical audio connection. While that may work, it’s a waste of HDMI-ARC and all its smart features. No more Vizio for me.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD ( or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. The picture was great but not good as the Sony I upgraded too. The screen went bad after 4 days would not light up only volume. The good thing Best Buy took back with no issue.
