DO NOT BUY THIS TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just as others have said, we purchased this TV in August 2017. We also purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan. The left side of our screen started going out in June 2019. We did some research on what could be the cause and discovered we aren't the only ones having this problem with this TV. We forgot that we had purchased the GSP and ordered the back light kit. At this point we kinda dreaded taking the 70" monstrosity off the wall so it hasn't been fixed as of today and wha-la today the entire screen is blank but we still have sound. After a little more research this malfunction is the Power Control Board. After today's incident, I decided to get my receipt out to see if we have purchased the extended warranty which is when I discovered the GSP. So now the question is, what DOES GSP really cover? I am waiting for BB to open so I can call them. In regards to reviews, I typically read reviews before making a purchase. I guess this time I made a decision without giving reviews any regard. If you are reading ANY of these reviews about the screen going dark, save yourself a lot of trouble, and move on to another brand! Also - we paid $1299 for this TV 2 years ago. They have this TV on sale for around $800.

Not to mention with the built-in smartcast you can stream from any device to your display without any lag. I am super happy with my 70 inch Vizio. Not to mention what i payed BestBuy had a pre black Friday sale 12/15-18 and it was $929.99 $70 cheaper than even the black Friday sale price of $999.99 can you say deal of the year! This thing is selling for $1299.99 now I saved @$400!
