The only downside is that the Smart TV doesn't have the option of downloading apps like Netflix. You can only cast to the tv from your phone or tablet

Should have payed more attention to the product details I guess. The feature that comes with the TV to use apps like Netflix is so stupid. You have to download the app on a mobile device in order to watch or use things like Netflix on this TV by using that mobile device. With anything like that the TV is just good for cable or dvds. Took the TV back and got a Samsung instead. Paid a little extra for it but was worth taking this TV back. Wouldn't recommmend this TV unless you want it just for cable television or to watch dvds.

Posted .Thank you for the feedback. The Cast technology used in this Display lets you cast content like apps, browser windows, and locally stored content to the display. While this is a change from traditional application based Smart TV's, it does have a few benefits. If multiple users have different accounts, it allows any user to cast content to the display without signing in (to the dislpay). It also allows multiple users to independently browse an app (like Netflix, Crackle, or VUDU) when looking for the next show to watch.

Till now no problem with the t.v and it's been 2 yrs 1/2 . 3 yrs will be on Nov 2020 so far no damages no issues what's so ever. To top it all off he forgot the insurance on it.

We just connected and we’re good to go! Screen quality is excellent. We also bought a sound bar which is a must!!

Posted .Dave, thanks for purchasing a VIZIO. The Home Theater Display is capable of a 4K resolution. One thing to keep in mind is that not all content is broadcast in 4K. Netflix and VUDU both have 4K content available. Most cable & satellite services broadcast in HD (1080i/720p) or Full HD (1080p). To make sure youre getting the highest resolution possible, connect your devices with an HDMI cable. You can also cycle through VIZIOs pre-set picture modes using the PIC button on your remote. Depending on your environment and personal preference, some modes may look better than others.
