      Thank you for your feedback and input. Picture quality is highly dependent upon the environment or room the display is located in. Some of the factors that affect picture quality are ambient lighting, such as lamps and sunlight, and personal preference can make a big difference. This is why we include several preset picture modes that are fully customizable through the SmartCast Application. VIZIO

    defect in the screen

    We purchased an out of the box but certified tv. Hung it with my wife above the fireplace and turned it on. The next evening my wife pointed out a defect on the screen. Now I can't stop seeing in but it was such a pain to install I don't want to go through the effort of removing and taking back.

    Lack of TV Tuner is a Defect

    Unfortunately I was not aware that Vizio was phasing out Internal ATSC TV tuners on all their 4K Ultra Models. I didn't even think to look into to the presence of an ATSC tuner when researching my purchase as this has been standard on all televisions since their conception. Removing the option of using an OVA antenna makes this product similar to buying a smartphone that cannot make calls. In short, by sacrificing an older technology for no other apparent reason than that it is old, Vizio has created inferior products of their 4K Ultra models to any competitor that has the common sense to include both. I went with Vizio this time because I had been pleased with one of their smaller Smart Televisions I'd received as a gift two years ago. Next time I am in the market, I will consider another brand.

      Thank you for your feedback. A few things that could help you get the picture quality you would like or saw in the store. Make sure the display is getting a high definition signal. Make sure the device you are using is capable of HD and it is connected with an HDMI cable that can deliver HD picture. You can also switch between the pre-set picture modes/settings on the display by pressing the pic button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

    This TV screen went black after 18 months. Past best buy warranty was expired. But Visio warrantied it and send me an upgraded tv due to this one being discontinued. Thanks Visio!!

    Volume is horrible. Returned tv as soon as it was hooked up and we turned on the volume. Have to turn it up to max to even hear anything. Got a Samsung and it rocks. Would not recommend this tv at all.

    Was a great buy but tv turns on randomly at night constantly freezes the smart cast won't work half the time and constantly have to disconnect tv to restart.

    Black Patch Areas/Vizio will not help

    After 4 years, this TV has somewhat large black patches at two different areas. I talked with Vizio and they are not willing to help at all. You will see from reviews from others that this is a very common issue. I spent a lot of money on this TV and expected more than 4 years of life. Very disappointed in the TV and Vizio's response. I will never buy another Vizio product.

    Old TV was a 5-6 year old 1080 plasma 55". Moved into a new house with a large great room with 18 foot ceilings, a large built in entertainment center, and a view from the kitchen while cooking but a ways away. I wanted something that would be an optical upgrade but screen size was also important. Our internet is lacking in the country so we cant stream 4k, so our only real 4k content will be from the 4k dvd player. I debated on this TV and a higher quality M series in a 65 inch. Comparing the two in the store I didn't see a ton of difference and I don't really need another tablet. At some point I actually found myself deciding if I was going to spend more it would be for the Samsung 8000 series that was on sale, but it would have been about 500 bucks more for a 5" smaller screen. Decided to go with the Vizio E 70" and completely happy with it. Is it as good as a Samsung 8000? No...but im also not comparing it side by side to other TVs in my house so looks good to me :) At 929 bucks, I still spent 200 on the 4k DVD player and then another 250 on a sound bar as my old one no longer fit underneath this monster...so when you figure I could get all that for the price of the other one it works for me. Its not a bad TV by any means, and even though I don't have HDR or the highest processor, im not really missing what I don't have...what I am doing is enjoying the significant upgrade in both quality and size over my last TV at a price that didn't make me feel guilty for a TV.

    Paid for a new tv got a tv that was returned no help at several bestbuys got the run around ... sucks to a haul a 70in tv around in my car xmas weekend... Best Buy was the grinch this year for me... customer service was no help they would sent me to the stores that supposedly you had tv in stock but stores would claim they didnt have tv in stock and did nothing to make a customer happy.. now I'm home with a tv that has two left support legs looking all awkward.. all I can say is WOW!!

    Overall for what your paying for it's not a horrible TV I feel this is a great tv for a man cave not a focal point for a man room. Looks horrible when viewing live tv Sports as a example.

      Thank you for the feedback. To make sure you're getting the best quality possible, make sure you're connected with an HDMI cable to a Hi-Definition device (like a cable/satellite box). You can also adjust the picture settings on this display by using the PIC button on your remote to change between picture modes. Using VIZIO SmartCast App on a compatible Android or iOS device you can also adjust individual picture values like Brightness, Sharpness, Color, and Motion settings. VIZIO

    The TV was a good value for the price. Not terribly impressed by the picture quality. The tv is not like regular smart tvs. Not a fan of chromecast.
