Not much to say here, it’s 4k, has HDR, 70in and under $1,000? You can’t beat it.

This TV is massive. Our office has one and it is used for primarily PS4 and Roku. The 70" TV requires 2 small tables to hold up and looks impressive. The features are pretty standard on this TV and we paid about an even $1000 for it. Everyone comments that on FIFA 2017, it displays a large amount of the field.

I bought the tv thinking it was a great deal for a 70inch. When I got the tv home I realized that the remote is useless and if you don't have a cell phone you can't use the tv. So my younger kids that don't have cell phones can't use the tv to watch Netflix or another app. The apps are not on the tv they are on your phone only. We don't have cable so we were depending on the apps. Also when I tried to just go ahead and set it up it didn't work, so i called the 800 number who went through the process then said ohh sometimes the iPhones don't work with the app so you have to wait till the apps not down. I said so then i cant watch tv till the app decided to work with apple he said nope.

Good tv at the right price.Only 1input full 4k&hdr

Want a big tv? can you get this one at a great price? Not someone who will go insane over every little detail with the picture? Well then this tv is for you! I purchased this TV on a one day sale pre black Friday for under $850, I could not pass up a deal like that and since have no seen it for that low. I could bore you with multiple things but I'll just jump to the most important. THIS TV ONLY HAS ONE HDMI 2.0 input, whats that mean? If you are hoping to have multiple devices play 4k and hdr you are out of luck. I have an apple tv 4k and an XBOX One S, only one is able to get 4k and hdr, the reason only input 1 can handle the full bandwidth required. This is not a problem if you are just looking for base 4k and no HDR (cable tv, most tv streaming, game systems that are not PS4 pro, Xbox One S/X. But with the big thing being game systems and movies with HDR this could be a huge downside. (This information and reason for why I could only have one input with hdr came straight from someone at Vizio). Also I will say the picture on this...its alright. There is not necessarily anything to complain about, but when compared to newer tv's my family has it just does not look as good. If I could do it all over again I would probably spend a bit more money and get a different tv, but at $850 I feel I get my moneys worth. I would however not recommend this tv if you are paying $1000+, I'd say downgrade to a 65in and buy a higher quality tv. If you are just looking for the biggest tv you can get a good price, and are not concerned about "amazing picture" and multiple devices with hdr, this tv is not a bad choice, like the three stars says...its average.

Thanks for taking the time to review our product. We appreciate the feedback. In addition to supporting HDR over HDMI1, this model also supports HDR10 & DolbyVision streaming over the built in applications like Netflix & Vudu. The display also supports casting content in HDR from any Chromecast enabled application. In regards to the picture quality, we include a host of settings that can be adjusted to fine tune your image quality. Since picture settings can very depending on the environment the TV is used in, the source you are viewing content on, and personal preference, you may want to spend some time tuning your image.

To start, you can access the picture settings by going into the 'Picture' option of the menu, and choosing a 'Picture Mode'. For brighter rooms you might want to use the 'Calibrated' or 'Vivid' settings, & for darker rooms you can try 'Calibrated Dark'. From there, feel free to tune the 'Backlight', 'Brightness', and 'Color' to match the levels of light in your room. Generally you'll want those settings higher in lighter rooms, and lower in darker rooms. If you have any questions about the settings, or would like a longer explanation on how each setting effects the picture, we'd be happy to help. We've got phone agents available at 855-833-3221. If you'd prefer, we also have chat representatives available by pressing the 'Contact Us' option on support.VIZIO.com. VIZIO

Am baffled at the lack of thinking this idea out. Using your Smart phone as your Remote Control is a good idea for a single person but if you have kids what am I suppose to do? Buy them a cell phone just so they can use it to watch TV while I'm at work? I think you need to hurry and design a remote for this TV A.S.A.P.!!!! Plus the phone app does not give you full access to all features of your TV. Decent remote would have given you 5 STARS!

Thanks for your feedback. This display does come with a basic remote that can be used to control functions such as turning the unit on/off, changing the volume and managing inputs. If you're connecting a device such as your cable or satellite box, you can simply use your respective cable or satellite remote to navigate your channels. The function of using your smart phone or tablet as a remote is to control content such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and more. This allows easier management of your content. VIZIO

    misleading HDR specs

This TV was released as a non-hdr tv from VIZIO. Before I bought it, I read that it received an update enabling HDR playback via the HDR10 format. I was in the market to upgrade my non HDR 4k tv to one with HDR and came upon this tv on sale, and found out about the update. So I bought it. I think the smartcast feature is great, I don't watch over the air broadcasts, so I don't mind that it lacks a coax input and remote. It really doesn't pass HDR muster though. First of all, the tv only reproduces HDR via the HDR10 encoding, not through Dolby Vision. That isn't a huge deal, except the Smartcast app built into the tv only displays HDR via Dolby Vision. as a result, you are completely unable to stream HDR via the smartcast app, regardless of formatting. You can only stream via a 3rd party source. Enter the Roku. I already have a Roku 4. It, of course, doesn't do HDR. So I spent $100 on a Roku Ultra. Now that I have my new Roku installed... I get HDR on Amazon and nothing else. Not 100% sure what the reason is, but I think its because all the streaming providers other than Amazon use Dolby Vision, which is incompatible with this tv. Now the Amazon app turns my HDR setting on, but I didn't say I can see a difference. I can not. None whatsoever. I assume all Vizio did was to write software to accept the HDR signal and produce the correct indicator light to come on, but not actually process HDR video therefore providing zero whatever, of the video enhancements that would come along with HDR. I suspect this TV is no more HDR than my last tv, it just manipulates the settings to give the impression that it is. Too bad.

I bought VIZIO E70-3E series model TV during black Friday, I try to watch local TV, but it doesn't have coaxial access for the antenna. I try to contact best buy about this problem, but they said it needs external Tuner, they don't know the exact tuner,I bought online a TV tuner and try to watch, it is not working and I email to the seller about the problem, he told to me the tuner is for Pc not for TV, nobody give me the right answer (The exact name of the Tuner or model No.). so if you want to connect your TV with antenna, it doesn't have access for that.I don't recommend this Model for anybody

    Problematic backlighting LED strips

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Having only owned this TV for just over 3 years (purchased in December of 2017), I'm extremely disappointed to see that there are LED strips that are already failing. It seems as though the Vizio TVs are becoming notorious for such an issue. I hope they have taken steps to find a better LED strip provider with their newer models; otherwise, you may be better off purchasing a different TV brand. This is unfortunate, as this TV has a great picture as long as the backlighting LEDs work as they're supposed to.

This product is great for the amount that you pay. But please be aware that it doesnt have a connection for a coaxial cable, other wise known as the cables used for antennas. To be able to watch over the air channels, you will need a separate device, tv tuner. If you have a cable box from a provider make sure to have it set up through an HDMI connection.

We were so excited by the built in features that this TV offers; Chrome Cast, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, ect. Once you plug in the TV the screen prompts you to sync it up to your devices. We're Samsung Galaxy 5 users and it wouldn't work. We called Vizio customer service and they said it's NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SAMSUNG DEVICES. PLUS NO TUNER. Very disappointing. Had to call customer service to arrange pick up which was a nightmare. First time I called I was hung up on. After that I was transferred six times! Finally I had to hand the phone over to my husband because I am too nice for what needed to be done.

Love this tv! Everyone is jealous. The manufacturer finally sent me a new remote (free, new and updated), and I love the remote too! Buttons for amazon prime and Netflix makes it a breeze to navigate. No cons about this product except that it is just a tad too big! Oh and remote doesn’t have voice control like Apple TV... Bought the Vizio C-70' M series about 1.5 years ago at Best Buy. Just after a year old, two thin black lines developed across the middle and bottom 1/3 of the screen. The colors are way off as well and the picture looks awful. Called Vizio and they said, sorry you are past the 12 month warranty, electronics break, nothing we can do!!!! Of course this happened just 2 months outside the warranty. Wish I would've bought the extended warranty, now left with an $1,800 paper weight. Avoid Vizio, junk!!!

I purchased this tv 5 months ago and it has went out. Had the worst experience with the store in Homewood, IL called before i went and i was told oh the tv is under warranty you can bring it in and get another one. Paid my neighbor to help me take the tv off the wall and put it back in the box(that i still had) and put in my car just to get up there for them to tell me oh because of the size of the tv there is nothing we can do you have to call geek squad mind you the guy i talk to on the phone twice looked everything up and knew the size of the tv. Now i basically have to wait about a week in a half just for them to send someone out to try and repair it. Oh and worst part is the guy i talk to, to make the repair ticket says oh theses type of situations happens all the time. So therefore Best Buy is selling TVs that will quit on you in 5 months and you have to wait till they decide to send someone out to fix it worst experience ever i will never purchase another vizo tv or purchase anything else from Best Buy. Don’t even waste your hard earn dollars.
