I just bought this tv and it's amazing. The sound quality is not there, but who buys a big tv like this without some type of sound bar at a minimum. Great product that I can't wait to use over xmas.

    Doesn't last

Vizio tvs are a great deal for the money, but beware because you get what you pay for. The TVs don't last and the company knows this, and will not stand behind their product. I purchased a tv and after just over a year it developed a huge dark spot on the screen. I called Vizio and they said that this was a known defect in the tv and they would replace it. I had concerns that they would replace it with another defective tv but they assured me that it had been corrected. The new tv again lasted just over a year. When I contacted Vizio again, they said that it was outside of the warranty and that I was on my own. If you do a search on Vizio tv defects, and Vizio tv class action lawsuit, you will see the many, many people that have had a problem with this company. A tv that you spend thousands of dollars on is supposed to last more than 2 years. Just remember you get what you pay for and if you decide to go with a Vizio, I would highly suggest you get some sort of extended warranty because there is a good chance that the tv will not last long after the first warranty is over.

    Horrible!!

I am a frequent customer of Best Buy and typically have nothing but positive things to say. I purchased a 70 inch Vizio e70Ia-3 tv from Best Buy in 2014 (receipt still in hand). This tv proceeded to develop white dots all along the bottom. I called Vizio/Best Buy and was granted a replacement tv. This tv as well developed white dots with only a 3 month warranty!! Finally Vizio agreed to give me a complete new model Vizio E70-c3. I just received this tv yesterday. It already has dark muddy spots in the upper right hand corner and now will not even turn on. Sound works great but no picture. What a joke! I'll take my business to HH Gregg for tv's from now on. Vizio is a no go. Don't bother people.

    Worked for an hour

I purchased the TV for the family for Christmas. It looked like a good deal and the reviews were mostly positive. I mounted the TV and it worked great for about an hour and the screen went black and my sound bar would play the audio and then the tv would reboot. I was playing a blue ray and was into the movie about 20 minutes. Unfortunately I am going to have return the TV after only using it for an hour. I spent more time mounting it and then removing it from the wall. Then repackaging it, a disappointing Christmas present.

    Disappointed

Bought this 4k TV because of the size (70") and low price. I also have an LG 65" 4k TV (2015 model) to compare this to and it isn't even close. This TV's picture is significantly less quality. This TV is supposed to take regular HD (1080p) content and upscale it, but I do not really see the difference in this TV. I expected the content to upscale to what at least looks close to 4k, but looks like it is simply displaying 1080p content and I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. I do not recommend it. It is going back to Best Buy and I will stick with LG, which is also well-priced.

Picture quality is highly dependent on a number of factors including personal preference. Other factors that can affect picture quality include source content and ambient lighting. VIZIO SmartCast Displays utilize the VIZIO SmartCast application that gives customers access to the display's menu and allows full customization of the picture settings like back-light, brightness, tint, color, and active pixel tuning for calibration. Vizio casting App is a complete failure. Set creates a beautiful image for the price, but you can not stream with it at all. App crashes, loses connection, and searches across all providers as opposed to just the ones you subscribe to. You need high end wireless and a smart phone to watch TV. Try taking your phone to work while the kids want to watch Netflix.

The VIZIO SmartCast Platform allows our customers to cast content from multiple devices including Smart Phones, Tablets, and from a computer. To cast from a computer simply go to the website such as Netflix and tap the cast icon in the chrome browser. This will allow you to cast directly from the computer like you would cast an application from a phone or tablet. The SmartCast app is only needed to adjust menu functions on the display itself. Thought I got a great deal & it worked for the first yr, & then boom, screen started going black, after researching I’ve found countless people online with the same problem & going out right after the warranty. Very disappointed with Vizio & ive been a long time customer!

Less than a year I noticed the picture in some places darker than the rest, thought it might have been cable. 13 months in a large section when extremely dark. Contacted Vizio & being one month out of warranty, got no help. Very disappointed with the quality of TV, but more disappointed with the customer service. Heard from several others this is a common problem

Do not EVER buy a Vizio television

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Save your money. Google “Vizio TV dimming” and you will see countless complaints of how these TVs screens will start to dim and ultimately fade to complete black. Mine actually lasted 4 years but most last two or less. You can’t repair a Vizio TV. Save your money and don’t be tempted with a less expensive option. It won’t last and ultimately cost you more than a Samsung that lasts a decade or more.

Looked good at first but Purple blob appeared

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this TV after reading the reviews but it seems there is a purple blob in the bottom right hand corner of the screen that is not noticeable except when it is trying to display yellows and tans. We noticed when watching game of thrones and dany's hair looks purple if it was near the bottom of the screen. my wife pointed it out now i cant stop seeing it. I plan on returning the TV but it really sucks because the TV is huge and heavy and a b**** to install. so i have to take it down and take it back.....

    Worst tv!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We bought our tv in Sept of 2019. We have had trouble from day one. The display will turn black and we have to do a soft power cycle restart, then the tv won’t connect to the wi-fi. Now I can’t even restart it or change the input. We are VERY displeased with this tv! If we could return it we sure would... we will not EVER but another Vizio.

I bought this TV to use for computer presentations. It does not allow PCs to connect without adding the Nvidia control panel and it will not work at all with an Intel on board graphics card. Visio tech support just responds with a lot of jargon and doublespeak but no actual help.

bought this TV in 2017. Now I have black shadows along the to and right upper corner of the TV so very hard to see what you are watching. It was a great deal but I would never buy this TV again and don't recommend this to anyone.

Bought this t.v. when we moved into a new house in July of 2015. Hasn't even made it 3 years and there's a foot long dark spot from the LED panel failing. First and last Vizio I'll ever buy.
