Great TV but the remote is junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give 5 stars if not for the cheap remote control. The back constantly falls off, after only a few months, the buttons stick, and it just doesn’t work over half the time

Horrible product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it at 4pm. At 6 it was hanging on the wall looking pretty and ready to go. Turned it on. About 16 minutes later the screen flickered and a great bar appeared on the left side. It has since added a large black bar that’s slowly moving left to right. Never ever bought a product that lasted only 16 minutes.

Excellent Display
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the E-Series 70" Vizio. It's my first TV upgrade in a while, so compared to standard 1080p on the 6-year-old 54" LED... this thing is stunning, based on its function as a display alone. The 4k movies streaming on my XB1 look incredible. I can't decide which looks better: Red Dead Redemption 2 on XB1 Enhanced or Spiderman for PS4 Pro. The unit was easy to setup since I did not mount it. The speakers are lackluster, but that is the standard for built-in TV speakers. I have already supplemented this with an entry-level sound system and I couldn't be happier with the results and pricing. There is a very slight delay after hooking up the speakers to Optical output. It's only noticeable when attempting to use both TV speakers & speaker bar at the same time. It is minor enough that you can't really tell otherwise. The TV comes with a "Lip Sync" setting that lets you add a delay - but the problem is so minor that this setting made it worse and not better in my case. Unfortunately, I have had some minor bumps in the road that lead me to give it only 4 of 5 stars. When you buy a 4k UHD SmartTV with HDR... you expect to be able to stream 4k content from online using the SmartTV apps. For my unit - the TV is unable to maintain connection/speeds required to do so after a minute or two of streaming. It works fine on 1080p, but continuously fails and retries for any content streaming on 4k resolution. If I switch to input to my XB1 or PS4 -- they can stream 4k content with no difficulty over the same wired network the TV is using. It's just the TV. It renders the TV useless for its own Apps and also as a Chromecast receiver. That being said, Vizio is sending a technician to my house tomorrow to replace some hardware in the TV. Support was very responsive, and my warranty appointment was setup quickly. Hopefully they can address the issue. (*A note from Vizio support regarding network testing on their SmartTV's: ignore the speed test results shown in the SmartTV Network page, which never exceeds 10Mbps. You can go into Netflix and use their connection speed test in order to get real speed results for your SmartTV's connection. Mine was getting over 100Mbps and still could not stream 4k content due to apparent hardware issues.) PS4 recognizes the TV as HDR compatible. For Xbox One Enhanced gamers - this TV has full HDR10 support. When I run the Xbox video compatibility test on this TV - all of the available features are supported save one: While Dolby Vision is supported by the TV - my Xbox One informs me that the TV is on an old version of Dolby Vision. The old version is not supported by Xbox One. The TV status bar will appear when a game or movie switches to HDR. It will say 'HDR10' instead of 'Standard'. The TV also shows the current resolution. I find this very useful for determining which of my games are HDR compatible and whether or not my streaming is working. The VUDU app on XB1 is able to detect the 4k display and HDR compatibility. I was watching Wonderwoman, Rampage, and a few other titles -- the TV looks cool, clean, and crisp. I have no regrets

Great TV made even better with a great sale price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this Vizio 70" TV this past weekend. We had a 46" Sony before. I had received a larger hardwood TV table as gift from work, and the 46" was too small on it, so "had" to get a bigger TV. I took advantage of the late January sales. Had been doing a lot of research and knew what my price point was and decided on the E Series based on numerous reviews. I am very impressed with this TV so far. The packaging was excellent and easy to get the TV out. The legs went on easy and it was on the new TV stand in a flash. The picture is great so far. My son hooked up his PS4 system with a game with HDR and 4K. It was amazing. Also have enjoyed some 4K videos from YouTube and other sources and the picture is truly fantastic. You really feel like you are in the picture, especially if you stand close to such a large TV. Even the regular pictures SD and HD seem to be nice on this unit. Another nice feature, the sound bar I have fits underneath it. With my previous Sony it had to be in front of it and blocked the sensor the remote. I am very pleased with the purchase so far, and the fact that Best Buy could match a price I found. That and having 24 months to pay for it with no interest was great too. If anything , so far, a couple of times the HD image from satellite sometimes is not in sync with the people's lips. I know there some settings to adjust but haven't did it yet. It only happens pretty infrequently so not a big deal, I know there was a "lip sync'" setting. All in all I am very pleased and glad I got the 70 inch unit. It is the exact same width as the tv table and looks great on it.

Better than the LG at same price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! I actually bought the 70 inch LG first and hung that on my wall, hooked up my firestick to it and sound bar and tested it by watching animation, live tv, action, a marvel movie... the LG 70 inch was a 60hz tv and I could tell.. the animation was a little blurry, the action and live tv had a soap opera effect, and the marvel movie motion was very blurry. I tried to adjust settings to no avail so the next morning i boxed it up and took it back and thought I would try this Vizio. BB did an even exchange, no hassels. Got this one home, it is about 15 lbs lighter which was nice.. the same wall mounts fit on the back so that was a plus. The connections are the right side of the tv (faceing the screen) so that was a plus for me. Hooked it up, updated it, started my firestick and dang! The picture is GREAT! No adjustments needed, no motion blur, no glitching, I gave it the same tests as before and to my very picky eye, it passed on all levels. I hooked up my PS3 and watched a movie - The Dark Night- and it was great. I played a ps3 game and it was impecable. I run the sound through a soundbar via BLuetooth for fire stick and via fiber optic for PS3. And it works great. I am very very pleased. It sits a little higher than the LG (and my old 55inch Sharp this is replaceing) which for me was also a plus.. but keep that in mind if wall mounting. Pros- Great picture across animation, sports, games, movies No soap opera effect Connections on right side of tv Comes with integrated apps (i might use) 120htz Crisp picture Cons Power cord is short- keep that in mind when wall hanging. Much better than the LG. Attached pics probably won't do it justice! Let me know if you get one!

Great picture, big, low price, poor speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with this TV. The price was amazing, the localized brightness adjustment gives it an amazing picture, the smart TV options are great, and it works seamlessly with my Google Home for voice control. The only downside is the low quality built-in speakers - I strongly recommend a separate speaker system as the sound can be tinny and at high volumes you easily max out the speakers resulting in weird distortion.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for the price... great picture, smart TV.. only reason I did not give it 5 stars is b/c I feel the volume could be louder... whether its on 5 or 30 I feel like the volume remains the same.. have to put it to like 70 volume to get it louder.

Awesome picture, better price.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seeing as vizio has basically the same panels as samsung, the picture quality is fantastic with great refresh speed. When adjusted for your room and lighting, 4k content looks amazing with the HDR. The smart software is easy enough to figure out for even the tech illiterate. Is it the best? No, but it does what you need it to do, runs all the basic streaming services, and whatever services it doesnt have an app for you can just cast from any device. (Smartphone, tablet, computer) plenty of inputs if you aren't using a separate receiver or hdmi manager. Sound quality is mediocre for a TV, but hey, who doesnt use a sound system for consuming content these days. You won't get a paper thin TV but you still get a awesome quality picture. If you are looking to save big and dont mind a your TV being slightly bulkier (bezels are still thin) this is a great choice.

Great TV for the value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price and brand of this TV, you can't beat it. I would not spend more than $1,000 on it. The quality is good for an e-series from Vizio. Local diming and HDR capabilities are nice additions for this price. 4K gaming from my Xbox One X look great on this TV!

Great TV for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a good sized living room that I placed the TV in. It is mounted to the wall in between two large book shelf. This gave me about about 6 inches to work with on each side so no problems. The difference between my 55 inch and the 70 is pretty dramatic so if you were wondering its very much worth it. You will need to get a sound bar if you do not have an entertainment system. Spend about $100 and you will be happy, you can shop around but just grab one and best buy and you will be fine. Remember this is not an OLED TV but for the price this is as good as it gets....CNET is why I bought this actual brand and size and they were spot on!. Lots of features and download the app because it basically gives you another remote on your phone....which actually works even better as far as range goes...hook up Alexa (if you have it) as well right away so you have all your features.

Very user friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very user friendly tv. Having a hard time finding service to make picture quality as clear as in store but thats not a tv fault. We went to buy an LG but this seemed to have better ratings and was more recommended so we brought it home. My 1st smart tv....great for people who need a tv thats easy to navigate. Only thing I dont like is remote is all black, nothing lights up, so very hard to see unless you turn a light on. Would be better if buttons on remote were more upraised and a different color than the remote itself. Came with 30 days free sling tv but cant use it unless you buy a stick like firestick so thats useless as sling isnt a preloaded app on this tv. Would make more sense to have gave me free 30 days of an app that was actually loaded on the tv. Quite a bit of free stuff on this tv to watch. Im just using Netflix and the free shows on it....

Beautiful picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this TV for about a month. We are enjoying it and the picture is beautiful. One thing I will point out is that everyone in my household got headaches and some of us got motion sickness with the default settings. If your sensitive to TVs with motion smoothing or local dimming setting turned on keep in mind this TV will be one that probably bothers you right out of the box. From previous TVs we knew to turn off the smoothing settings. However, we were not familiar with the possibility of the local dimming settings causing basically a strobing effect that can cause eye fatigue and nausea. It took a few days to figure it all out and since we did we have watched it everyday with no more issues. Even with the issues we had I would highly recommend this Tv.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was very simple to set up. We have a vaulted room and this size is perfect for viewing. Box is heavy so make sure you have 2 people to handle it. The picture is very nice. No problems in the month we have had it. Very pleased.

Over 4 years into owning this TV - color issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over 4 years into owning this TV, there are sections of the TV that have a slight blue hue which is especially noticeable when there are lighter colors on the screen. Bummer.
