The TV did NOT disappoint. The reviews indicating a great picture were accurate. The picture is as true to life as I have seen anywhere. 4K video is simply awesome with detail beyond my expectations. Chromecast and Casting are truly wonderful. I have the (external) sound output running through a 300 watt Receiver/Amplifier. Great Sound quality....very clear...well balanced. Probably the best electronic device we have ever bought....especially when on sale. Best Buy installed it in only an hour or so...on the wall...first class mounting...no cables showing. They Programmed our remote to control the TV, the Receiver/Amplifier, and cable box with ONE switch.

After researching a lot of TVs I decided to go with this one. I upgraded from a 2012 era LG TV that's worked well but was definitely showing it's age. Size was the biggest reason I went with this model. I'm really impressed with the contrast. Great black levels! The colors are good, but not as colorful as a better TV. Gaming with my Xbox One X is fantastic, very low input lag and the HDR looks great. The Smart Cast platform is basic, but it gets the job done. Overall I'm very happy with my new TV!

Tv is of very goof quality, design of the tv was not amazing, but i honestly never judge a tv by its outside look that much, and it is not bad either it just looks like they could have done more is all.
The quality of the tv is very good, i had to adjust some of the picture modes to fit my liking more, and its a shame tv manufacturers haven’t been able to just pick the best mkde for us like cellphone manufacturers already do.
Either way its incredible how little this tv cost maintaining its overall quality, i would at least expect tv from competitors to cost 33% more for something with this good a quality, great for 4k hdr content including gaming and movies.

The picture quality is great, even on standard antenna stations. The colors are vibrant and edges are sharp in 1080p. When viewing in 4k, it's taken to another level. The loaded, free channels are ok, but I wasnt expecting much. Remote is a bit flimsy, but using Google assistant or the streaming remote makes it a moot point. Two small issues this far. The backlighting flickers in the corners when you self-adjust the picture settings. At times, Smartcast can also freeze if left unattended.

First tv purchase in several years as technology keeps outpacing itself. This TV has all of the current features like 4k, smart TV etc. Apps work great. TV also has a port for Ethernet cord so I have it hard-wired to internet. Picture is great and it allows you to configure it to your own liking. You can also download the SmartCast app and link it to Alexa and other smart home devices. Not a big deal but it nice to be able to control the power (on/off)and volume with your voice.
Sound is ok...but I would recommend getting a soundbar and subwoofer.

vizio remains the budget minded leader in LED tv's. I wanted to experience a large screen tv without having to drop $3000. I know C-Net loves vizio for it's cost and picture quality. my parents have a vizio and I have always been impressed with the picture. I bought this vizio 70" e series tv for $899 at best buy (it's on sale now for even less). It has a clean, crisp, sharp picture with vivid colors. No adjustments were needed. the picture quality is just short of my 55" samsung QLED, which is the best picture I've ever seen. this 70" tv gives you a quality picture for a thousand less than an OLED or QLED. the only con is the tv is NOT bluetooth enabled. I believe the M series vizo does provide bluetooth for slightly more money. You really can't got wrong buying this tv.

I really like the picture on the TV, but with high quality content - picture is not very good with direct Uverse cable feeds which only come at 1080i. The OTA tuner is also weak compared to our other TV accessing the same signal.
I was expecting to be able to change the apps to remove ones I don’t want (HULU) and add ones that I do (DirecTV NOW). I appears that this OS version will only let you stream the apps and not change them in your on-screen dock which is very annoying. The one click to Amazon is great but I want to add other apps I want without streaming data via my phone and using WIFi space.
This really needs to be fixed.

The picture of this set is excellent. My daughter is vision impaired and this is a set she can actually see and enjoy, The sound quality from the set alone, is not very good, but I plugged into my small Bose System and it is as good or better than most multi speaker theatre systems. I am very happy with the 4K performance and the ease of connecting devices and programs. This was a great purchase and great value for the price.

The streaming apps work great, the picture is awesome, but no signal on HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. This is with a known good direct source (AppleTV). I might need a new motherboard or I/O board, not sure which.
I hope Visio calls me so I can update this review.
UPDATE: In a Hail Mary attempt to get a signal I just clicked through all the HDMI inputs (1-5) and actually got a signal on 5. Checked the cable connection and wouldn't you know it, I was plugged into HDMI 5 the whole time.
In my defense, I'm old, I wear bifocals, and the man cave is pretty dark. And when an old man reads things upside down in the dark, a 5 will always become a 2. So the two HDMI inputs on the side aren't HDMI 1 and HDMI 2. They're HDMI 4 and HDMI 5. I feel like such a newb.
What a relief. The last thing I wanted to do was hunt down a new main board and open the back cover on this thing. I thought I would only have to do that on my Sony TVs eventually (2 so far).
Vizio, I owe you an apology. This is an awesome set! I've gone into the picture settings and made some adjustments to my taste (a long way from the factory torch mode). I can say, this thing compares favorably to my Samsung QN65Q8FN FLAT 65” QLED costing more than twice as much. Deep blacks, white whites. Gorgeous.

My 50" Sharp died on me so I had to purchase a new TV. I saw the price advertised and luckily was able to pick one up. The picture quality is very impressive. Vizio has really improved as a brand overall. Motion is smooth, plays 4K and HDR content real well. I've certainly seen better picture quality on other models, but for this price point it's a worthwhile purchase.

Recently wanted to upgrade to a bigger TV. I was also looking for something with decent Hz. This one was perfect for the price 899. It looks amazing and is so user friendly. It also impressed all of our friends when they come over. Movie night and Sunday night football are now held at our house.

Loving this tv. Got it on sale during Black Friday week for $750. The 70” is an awesome upgrade, and I wasn’t spending more than $1,000 on a new tv when this one already looks good. It’s also got a lot of ports which are surprisingly limited on a lot of other TVs. It has a thin bezel, but it’s not noticeable while watching. Works well with my XBox 1 S.

I bought this TV on Black Friday 2018 and have used it now for about a month and love it. It has a crisp picture and vivid colors, all for an affordable price for the 70" size. I gave it a 4 star because the 12 zone "local dimming" is a cool feature, but if you crank it up to high, it is noticeable that it is 12 separate zones. But otherwise, I am happy with this purchase.

This is an amazing 4K hdr tv for the price. The picture looks great even when you’re not watching 4K video. The sound is a little weak and muffled so I would definitely recommend a good sound bar.
